Was a beautiful property with a great view of the lake. Steep driveway to the house, but street level parking and easy access to a dock for fishing, etc. This would be a beautiful spot for a summer vacation.
A nice rustic cabin is more suitable to descript this home. The location and views are convenience and beautify because by the lake. Only concern is they have a very sleek driveway to go up to the house so we all prefer to park by the street in front of the house. And the dock is at the other side of the lake house which can't tell from the photos if they are connect with the house or not. After all we cant use the dock because of the rainy weather this weekend. We however still have a nice stay in the lake house. The owner, Joey responds to any question immediately and that is a plus.
Had a great time, as mentioned in many other reviews the driveway is steep. Loved swimming in the lake, proximity to wineries and multiple state parks.
The sheets on the EXTREMELY uncomfortable beds were quite dirty. I don't know how long it had been since they were cleaned but it must have been a while. The grill out back was DISGUSTING and surely never cleaned. There was so much crud and old food inside it took 45 minutes for the burning residue to go out. If you have lots to grill do not plan to use this as only one panel of the grill got clean enough to use. The pictures are deceptive The house is far enough from the lakeside that we never even used it, we rented a boat while we were there so we did not miss it. The driveway is TREACHEROUS if you have no experience with it. Plan to open the garage and have your car in LOW gear before you drive up because good luck if you have to stop on the way up. The driveway is VERY narrow and backing down is a real feat and do do it slow because there is a real possibility you could end up in the woods. Good luck if you want to watch television because out of the five days we were there the TVs worked for a total of a few hours out of the entire trip and the ones in the bedrooms did not work at all. Over all its a great house that needs a LOT of work and cleaning and better maintenance. They also need to spend a good bit more money making that driveway a whole lot safer. Clearly an absentee owner who does not monitor his place closely enough.
Our stay was outstanding. The cabin is beautiful and well furnished. At the top of a breathtaking driveway, it sits above a stunning lake in New York's wine country, We enjoyed morning coffee with a bright aunrise at the waterfront, then explored the countryside's waterfalls and wineries during many afternoons. What a great location!Joey was a helpful host, providing all the information we needed. It was a magical week, and we hope to return.
The cabin was excellent even though not lake front but across the road from the lake. The kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were firm and comfortable. The driveway was horrible for 5 guests 70years, steep, narrow. radical turn and no reasonable parking on the drive or near the cabin. I would not stay hear again because of the driveway.
It was a great stay in this cozy cabin! Our only complaints are the lack of overhead lights in the bedrooms and the very steep driveway. After two attempts to drive up the driveway, we resorted to parking on the street and walking up.
This was our second stay and we loved it just as much! It’s such a cozy house that makes us feel right at home. The property is peaceful and the views are amazing!
