Wonderful home and location

Two couples and two toddlers had a great stay at this house. The location was incredible - steps from the beach and a short drive to restaurants, playgrounds, and the grocery store. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect!

This property was clean and spacious . The location was great! Short walk to the beach and short drive to town. Returning from the beach to spend the evening around the pool or in the large screened in area was amazing. Loved every minute of our stay.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the house. The location was great and an easy walk to the beach (even with two kids and a wagon full of stuff!). The only, very minor issue, was the bed in the master bedroom is a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, a great stay!

Charming bungalow

We were so relaxed and felt so comfortable in this darling house. Two blocks from the beach and a short drive to many other fun activities and wonderful restaurants. We would definitely consider a return visit and would recommend it to a friend who is looking for a perfect vacation.

Great spot on East Beach

Love this house and location in the East Beach neighborhood. The screened back porch is amazing! Pool was great for our young children. Kitchen had all the pots/pans/utensils one could need.

Amazing location!

The location was perfect to walk to the beach and back! Love how big and roomy the house is! We spent the entire time either in the pool or at the beach would definitely love to come back! The only complaint was the beds are hard, personally I didn't mind, but my husband and Mother in Law did. Honestly overall it was such a great experience that the beds are just a small nitpick in my opinion.

Charming and cozy bungalow!

We had a wonderful time at Patti’s bungalow! The pool was clean, and the proximity to the beach was great! Even with 2 young children, the walk to the beach wasn’t bad. The house was stocked with everything we needed. I’d recommend taking laundry detergent if you plan to do more than 2 loads of laundry. The beds in the primary suite and the other queen bed were quite firm! If you don’t sleep well on a firm bed, that may be something to consider. Overall, it was a great stay. We would stay here again!

Comfortable house

Comfortable house in a great location near East Beach. Could be improved with beach chairs and towels, which were not provided. Also could use a broom! Premises were well maintained, including pool. Good price to value for this property.

Nice stay

The house is charming and in a quiet, great location. The house next door is almost done being built. Enjoyed the pool, and the property management folks are wonderful. My one surprise is that the 3rd bathroom is outside in the screened porch. It’s not convenient to walk outside to use for the 3rd bedroom occupants.

Close to Beach Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Everything was clean and comfortable and we were able to use the pool even if the water was a little cold in late March. The property is in a great location in the east beach area and easily walkable to many lovely beach areas or a short bike ride to downtown. The property manager was extremely responsive. A few suggestions to make our next stay even better: provide beach towels on site, have a working pool cleaner/strainer so we can clean the leaves out of the pool without having to call and provide a few more blankets to use during the colder season.

Relaxed and Easy

Patty’s Bungalow was a great choice. We were so comfortable in the house because it had room to spread out. The screened porch was a favorite place to hang out under the fans. The pool was a great feature. We swam day and night. July is a hot time in St. Simon’s and the pool was always there to cool us off. It is large enough for several people to be in it at the same time. The walk to the beach is quick and pleasant. A short walk in the other direction leads to a nature viewing area by the marsh. We were glad we took our roku and a large tv to set up on the screened porch so we could watch some family movies during afternoon rain storms.

Overall our stay was wonderful. Close walk to the beach made each beach day that much easier. Our complaint was with the pool. On the first day of our stay I contacted the management company about the cleanliness of the pool. Covanent quickly responded and had a pool tech out to clean the pool. Unfortunately by our last day the pool was covered in algea and we lost a day of pool use. Again Covenant responded swiftly to our concerns and had a company out by mid morning but the pool was too far gone to use the remainder of our stay. Overall our stay was wonderful. Great location and a perfect size for our family.

Lovely house; loud construction next door

The place is awesome and looks like it does in the pictures. Sweet little street and great location close to two nice beaches. It’s an easy walk to East Beach. It was perfect for the six of us, would have been tight for 8. I rated it four stars because there was major construction going on next door that woke us up at 7:30 a.m. and impeded our ability to enjoy the space. Given the owners’ notes inside about being quiet to avoid disturbing neighbors, I would have appreciated a heads up. The management company did everything they could to help on the issue and it did abate somewhat later in the week. The only other point to be aware of is that you will have to rent or buy any chairs or towels you want for the beach. It says towels are supplied but there are notes in the house from the owner that you can’t even use their house towels at their own pool. I find that silly - the need to rent towels (I think the rental company quoted me $12 per person per day) for the private pool in the owners’ back yard. In my view, beach towels and pool towels should be available.

St. Simons getaway

This is a very clean, quaint, and charming beach cottage. If your fanily is looking for a more modern design with a huge flat screen TV in the living/family room, then it wouldn't be for you. There are 3 small TVs - one in the living room, one in the kitchen and one in the master bedroom. Bring your own beach towels and toiletries, but pretty much everything else is provided (plenty of bath towels, cooking utensils, pots/pans, dishware, silverware, paper towels, toilet paper, etc). The free beach gear rentals included was nice and we used it get a beach cart (much needed for us), cornhole set, and skim board delivered to the house before we arrived and picked up from the house upon our departure. Very convenient! The pool is a nice size. We were told the day before we arrived that pool maintenance is on Mondays so my son noticed on Sunday (the morning after we arrived) that the pool was not that clean. We did not have an opportunity to use the pool until Tuesday when my son noted that it looks really clean now (they must have cleaned it while we were out on Monday). The neighborhood is beautiful. Take a stroll up and down the street to see lovely beach homes in varying sizes and style. It was within a 5 min walk to the beach from the house! It was less than a 10 min drive to St. Simons Island Pier Village with all the shops and restaurants, and lighthouse.

Great spot

We had a wonderful week here. The pool was the main attraction for the kids, and the easily accessible shower meant that we could come home form the beach, shower without going into the house to rinse off all the sand, and then hop right in the pool. The location of the house is a short walk to the beach, and an easy bike ride to restaurants. Quiet at night. The pool was not super clean when we got there, but it is spring on SSI and when we requested it be cleaned, the owners took care of it right away. The house is comfortable, the beds were comfortable, and I would love to come back!
