Grand Caribbean 309 East is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath privately owned vacation home at the Grand Caribbean East Resort, just a short walk from the Gulf. This condo on the 3rd floor has a view of the gorgeous resort pool and has a nice glass patio table with two chairs, perfect for your morning coffee or a relaxing afternoon of reading. This condo comfortably sleeps up to 6 people including children and adults with a King bed in the master bedroom, full size bunks built into the hallway and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The master bedroom is attached to the full bathroom and the bathroom also offers access from the hallway. The living room has a flat screen tv with cable and the option of a DVD player along with Wi-Fi and has a sleeper sofa and chair for seating. The light wood table in the dining room seats up to 6 with 2 additional bar stools at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is well equipped and offers extras like a rice cooker and small crockpot. Always a bonus is the washer and dryer located in one of the closets in the hallway.

Great stay and good value

I rented this property for my parents so we could stay in the same complex. They had nothing but positive things to say. Clean, well equipped, beautiful view, easy access to beach. Highly recommend and good value for this area.

Great Location!

Even though this condo is not directly on the beach, it really almost is! The walk to the beach is just across an ally way and down a short boardwalk. No stairs and no busy road to cross. The condo was nicely furnished and well stocked. Pool and grill area was so nice and clean. Everything about this rental was easy.

Not the cleanest

I really don't have anything good to say. I was disgusted from the bathroom to the main bedroom and the sofa bed. The bathroom shower curtains were molded, which I had to replace in order for my kids to take a shower. The sofa bed was dingy look like animals slept on it. There was hair in the tub, on the comforter sheet of the main bedroom, like the place have not been swept.

Just ok

Plus side-Location was great for visiting my daughter but I would not stay in this unit again. Short walk out to beach. Communication with management company was very good! Other side-Bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were so firm and flat I went a bought a new one for the 5 day stay. The main BR stays light all night with the bright light out in the walkway which would be so easy to fix with room darkening curtains (mentioned by others.) Just none of the little things that makes you want to go back. So many other places I've stayed that had kitchen items (salt/pepper), hand soap, dish soap, coffee pods, cooking spray, area rug, etc. All things that would be easy to provide but aren't there.

Nice condo, but I wouldn't rent with this company again

Pros and Cons: Pros: -Location is convenient, close to the beach and restaurants and the beach is not as crowded as other areas. -Condo has everything you need to cook a meal and plenty of extra bedding for the pull-out sofa. -Balcony overlooking the pool is nice, although it could use more furniture. Cons: -We found someone else's dirty underwear under the nightstand. -Dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. -As another reviewer mentioned, all the bottom sheets are flat, so they constantly come untucked in the middle of the night. -You are required to go to the property management office to check in and receive a keyring full of keys that you don't need even though there is a number keypad to get in the door. Then you must return to the office to checkout and turn in all the unnecessary keys. On a positive note, all of the ladies that worked in the office were super nice. -The wifi was virtually non-existent. Luckily we have unlimited data on our phones. Overall the condo was nice, but I would not rent from this property management company again.

First stay/Last stay

We booked this property 2 weeks before stay after our original accommodations fell through. The listing for this property was confusing as it didn’t specifically define what was available for this unit; but spoke more generally about multiple listings. The cleaning fee was high, but we were ok with that hoping it meant that we would be impressed with the clean. Also, check-in time was later and check-out time earlier than we have ever seen; but again, we were hoping that would reflect in the cleanliness. That was not the case. The smell of mildew/stagnant unpleasantly greets you when you enter the room. The white bath towel was filthy after a clean-up from a mishap with the shower curtain. There were visible sand piles gathered by furniture. The washing machine had a heavy dirt ring and the dryer took 3 cycles of 60 minutes to dry. The ice maker didn't work. The space between the king size bed and the bathroom door is too narrow and left bruises on both mine and my husband’s legs after banging into them! The check-in process after reserving was cumbersome; pages of information to read, and much of it conflicting; and so many ridiculous rules and warnings of “extra charge if…” scenarios. The day of our arrival we received different instructions than given before, which confused us even more. We only had 3 washcloths and 5 towels for a place that said it slept 6. We only received 1 parking pass instead of 2. Many things on property were in disrepair including safety items.

Great location and services

Nice condo close to beach

We enjoyed our stay here. The condo was clean and very close to the beach (just a short walk). It was not busy this time of year, which is good since the elevator doors are about two steps away from the bedroom. I imagine during the busy season, this would be a noise issue. One annoyance we had was with the lack of a fitted sheet on the bed... there was only a flat sheet tucked around the mattress. Since we had to strip the linens ourselves at the end of our stay, I don't see why they can't provide a fitted sheet. The flat sheet comes loose every night and has to be re-tucked constantly. Also, construction workers banging away at 8:00am was bothersome. Otherwise, a nice place.

Fantastic getaway!

I had a wonderful vacation. I absolutely loved the condominium. It was charming and very clean. I went by myself and it was the perfect spot. The beach was really close and beautiful. I would definitely go back!

We will be back to Perdido Key!

Upon arriving we realized there was remodeling going on that we weren’t aware of. This room is right in front of the elevator and there is a light that stays on all night in the main bedroom. These things should be made known. We were woke up every morning by either remodeling crews doing construction or people at the elevator talking very loudly. When we entered my family knows to take their shoes off, we quickly put them back on. The floor was covered in sand. I had to clean them because I couldn’t stand it. Other than that the property was so clean, nice, accomodating. Close to the beach, overlooking the pool. Nighttime was quiet. There are several restaurants close that are great!! We loved the resort and are interested in purchasing one there ourselves after visiting. We recommend.

Perfection

We absolutely love coming to Lost Key resort and Perdido Key! This property was perfect and had everything we needed and then some. Plenty of room. Kitchen excellently equipped. Beach cart and toys, bikes, etc.. we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. ❤️

This is our favorite location in Perdido Key and this unit did not disappoint. It was appointed very nicely (granite counters, new appliances, fresh paint. The check-in process through the management company could use some streamlining.

Overall a really great experience. Only thing that is not mentioned is the fact that the beaches are mostly all private so you have about a 10 foot section of beach you are allowed to be on.

The condo could use a little updating

The kitchen cabinets are in terrible condition. The shower curtain liner had mold on it and the towels were like sand paper. Kitchen & bath rugs were filthy. A few inexpensive updates would make it a lot more attractive. Also, the people above us were loud with children running around and dragging chairs and furniture around. If & when we come again we will be sure to stay on the 4th floor.
