We had a family gathering of 10 for our annual Women’s Weekend and this house was the perfect accommodation, even though we were there during a massive storm. Beds, and seating, were comfortable, house is clean and very well stocked and you can’t beat the location and views. We all agreed we would love to stay here again. Easy communication with rental managers who were helpful and communicated often. Thank you!
The property overall was very nice. Our family of 6 (all adults) spent five nights here. The house is spacious and the views are spectacular. I just wanted to note a few things that I would have wanted to know before we traveled here to stay, for future vacationers.
First, the kitchen is well stocked for families that cook. The gas BBQ is a nice size and the kitchen has pretty much everything you need to make meals. Items include pots & pans, dishware, silverware, mixing bowls, baking dishes, etc. There is also a cabinet that had some non-perishable basics, such as spices, salt & pepper, sugar, flour, and many other things. It appears that previous guests use what the need and leave what they don't, which was nice. Definitely check out the kitchen before shopping. There is a small grocery store about 3 mins away that has all basic essentials.
One downfall was there were several things broken in the house. The door handle to the freezer (which my brother fixed while we were there), NUMORUS light bulbs burnt out throughout the house, the AC was not working, the mini fridge downstairs in the game room, amongst other things. I did call the property management to ensure that they knew this stuff was broken when we got there. They said they had a long list of repairs and that they had a "rough summer". All was fine, we did not get charge for any damages. However, it would have been nice if they would have fixed the minor things, such as replacing light bulbs and repairing freezer door handle. Also, it would have been nice to know ahead of time that the AC was out and the mini-fridge downstairs.
In addition, for those who have stair challenges... The entry to the main level is UPstairs. Ground level is the game room, a bedroom, and garages You must go up steep stairs to get to the main living area, kitchen, laundry, 2 bedrooms, and deck. Then there is another bedroom up on the third level. Also, while it is right on the ocean, there is a bit of the hill to go down to get to the water. Not much problem for most people but if you have someone that needs flat ground, it would definitely be a challenge.
With all this said, we had a fabulous trip. The views are the best thing about this home. We saw deer on the property nearly every day. The weather was fantastic. I would recommend this property to everyone.

Hi thank you for your review. We have given lots of attention to the house since your stay and all items mentioned have been remedied! Well....all items that we can control. The hill to the beach is the same but it is one of the easiest accessed beach house on the coast.

Fabulous
We had a lovely time. The house is gorgeous, spotlessly clean and right on the beach. The kitchen has everything we needed and the bathrooms had plenty of towels. It just cannot get any better than this. Thanks so much for your friendly service and making this such a wonderful vacation for us.

The perfect home for guest of all ages. Something for everyone.
However senior citizens (over 80) might have a little problem getting down to the ocean. Steep slope to walk down in sand to the ocean. Otherwise get your glass of wine and enjoy the view from the family size deck, which we enjoyed each evening. Sunsets were gorgeous !!!

Stay Overview
Beautiful home. Just invest in new dishwasher racks.
The location was beautiful it was wonderful to be able to have the ocean view
The rental process was user friendly. The cancelation policy is quite harsh especially at this time with covid-19 and the uncertainty of change that can happen. The rates are high & if someone has a personal challenge & isn't able to make the trip it could be a financial hardship
Great house. Wish there was regular television. Having to do everything through roku is a bit of a pain. Could use a few things fixed. Lots of lights out. Overall good place to stay.
We've stayed at countless vacation rentals, but this was by far the best. During these uncertain times, it was amazing to stay in a beautiful place, in a prime location, and not even need to leave the house, except to take a walk on the beach. Amazingly well stocked kitchen, with lots of extras for those in our group who love to cook, and plenty of seating in the kitchen for the rest of us to enjoy a glass of wine while they cooked! Every need a vacation renter might have, has been anticipated and provided for! We spent countless hours watching the ocean, and after dark hit the game room for snacks, drinks, music and some friendly competition. There is a reading nook upstairs, plenty of comfortable outdoor and indoor seating, and even toiletries for those who forgot them! Pictures posted don't do this place justice. And the quality time this stay facilitated for our family, will stay in our hearts forever.
We loved our experience at this property. The location and amenities made our stay very comfortable. There were a few broken things...(garage door opener, microwave) But overall this was everything we were looking for and we will certainly be back.
This is an amazing home with plenty of space for four couples. We enjoyed the game room, the outdoor fire pit, and the spectacular views of the ocean. The house needed some little fixes and updates, but overall this house is a Must Visit.

Fantastic beachfront home with gorgeous views in Pacific City
Our family stayed in this home for 4 nights the week of Memorial Day 2019 and tremendously enjoyed our visit. There are so many pros to this home and location:
1. The view. The pictures really don't do it justice. The home affords sweeping views of the Pacific coastline including the dunes at Cape Kiwanda. Also, on one evening while eating dinner we saw a group of whales spouting just offshore of the house.
2. No road noise. Sure, you could drive on the beach in this particular location in Pacific City, but you never heard the cars either in the front of the house (of which there were few) or on the beach (of which there were fewer)
3. Access to the beach. For us, this is a priority when renting a home on the beach as we want our kids to be able to head out to the beach at their leisure while we still have the ability to watch them. This house was ideal in this regard as access to the beach was through a very short walk and small dune.
4. Amenities to the home. The home is around 4000 square feet -- making it quite spacious for a larger family. In addition, the bathrooms are well placed, the water heater sufficiently sized, and the kitched was well stocked and up to date. There is also a sizable propane grill for guests to use as well. The pool table, shuffle puck game, and large TV's were also very good. It was nice to have access to these on either a cloudy or windy day at the beach.
The only "con" I can think of is the traffic on the beach. I didn't expect to see 4x4 trucks driving past the house on the beach side of the home. It did make me a little nervous about small children playing at the beach -- especially if they weren't as visible, perhaps in a sand castle or something. That said, I found that most of the traffic was on the weekend/Memorial Day, and during the week there was little traffic.
Overall, we would come back to this home again. We really enjoyed our stay here and my wife and I still comment on how nice it was to open the sliding glass door in the master bedroom and listen to the ocean throughout the night.

Amazing Beach Location and Fun Filled Home
Pictures do not do this home justice! The views from the main level living room are stunning. Each person who arrived to the home literally said “wow” when they stepped in. The kitchen/dining/living space is huge with tall ceilings and provided plenty of space for our group of 8 adults to relax, catch up and play. The downstairs game/play room with pool table, bar, shuffleboard, 2 tvs, and largest comfy couch I’ve ever seen was perfect for the one rainy day we had and to use after making smores at the fire pit right off the expansive deck. Location is perfect - no sand dunes in front of house to block views, deck provided shelter from wind, and home is walkable on the beach (15-20 minstroll) down to Pelican Pub or the small grocery store. Home has a nice bbq and plenty of chairs on the deck for taking in the view of the ocean, the giant rock, and cape. I’ve rented homes in PC for 7+ years, this was the best home by far. We will be back!
