Oceanfront Penthouse at La Palapa with unobstructed views of Banderas Bay

Welcome to the penthouse and La Palapa. We invite you to enjoy our beautifully remodeled beachfront condo located in the iconic La Palapa condominium building. Our condo has 180 degree unobstructed views overlooking Los Muertos Beach and all of Banderas Bay. Only the 7th floor of this building has 11ft. ceilings! Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath corner penthouse unit is in the perfect location to enjoy everything the Zona Romantica area has to offer.

Step outside and you will find the best restaurants, bars, beach and shopping, all within walking distance. The La Palapa Restaurant happens to be one of our favorites. It is located on the main level of our building, directly on the beach. Just steps away is the Malecon, a wonderful opportunity to take a stroll...morning, noon or night.

The rooftop pool provides full sun all day as well as a covered area and bathrooms. Take a swim and relax here to enjoy 360 degree views of all of Puerto Vallarta and its mountainous backdrop. Or just sit on the beach all day at La Palapa or El Dorado for refined daytime beach service and pampering.

Enjoy a beautiful mix of traditional and contemporary Mexican furnishings. The remodeled kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances including gas cooktop, convection microwave, beverage/wine fridge. Our water is UV + double filtered at the small tap at kitchen sink & in the refrigerator. The bathrooms are remodeled and appointed with local tiles and quality finishes. The primary bath is en-suite with a huge walk-in shower. The 2nd bath has a step-in shower, custom tile, fixtures and lighting. Housekeeping service is included every day except Sunday and Mexican holidays. Isabel will make your beds, clean and help with dishes, but please try to do most dishes on your own. She will also launder the bedding and bath towels, but not beach towels or personal laundry. The washing machine works with hot water only and is great, but please shake sandy items at the beach before you come home. And please rinse sand from your feet and legs at a beach shower or the rooftop shower.

Features and amenities: Rooftop pool, elevator, 24 hour front desk/reception, AC in all rooms, WiFi, Bluetooth music system, TV, large safe in second bedroom closet, washer/dryer, coffee maker, fully stocked kitchen, maid service (not including personal laundry or beach towels), La Palapa Restaurant and beach access directly through the building.

PLEASE NOTE: May - October there may be construction noise at La Palapa, as remodeling is permitted during these months. You can spend your day upstairs at the pool or on the beach and exploring the city if the noise is bothersome.

Just a suggestion: Little ants are common in Vallarta, so don’t leave any food on the counter. Use Tupperware or bag items and put them in the fridge.

Perfect Location, Clean and Comfortable

From the time of booking to our departure from La Palapa 701, we could not have been happier. The owners were communicative but just to the right degree; the property itself was in a perfect location for us; the neighborhood had all amenities we needed; check in was simple and surprisingly quick; and most importantly, we made the best memories. We have stayed at La Palapa before. It’s a great location and near restaurants and shopping. We love this location because of the restaurant and beach club. Make sure you call ahead to reserve beach chairs at La Palapa or you may not get any.

This condo is set in a beautiful location and building. The restaurant downstairs is fabulous for any meal. The staff is wonderful and keeps a very secure feeling. The decor of the condo is wonderful to enjoy and makes the space feel very local and comfortable. The beds are perfect.

La Palapa Condo great location and home

Right on the beach, great view with a huge palm tree right outside. ACs are cold, you can hear the waves on the beach at night while sleeping, very comfortable beds, good water pressure, location for Romantic Zone can’t be beat!

Amazing view. Everything is exactly like the pictures and video. Beautifully decorated. Very comfortable and spacious. We had everything we needed and more. Restaurant downstairs and next door were wonderful. Everything that we were interested in was walkable. It was hot outside, but a/c units worked well. Although we didn’t, we had everything we needed to cook a meal. Front desk was great. Pool is one flight up with stairs right outside the front door. Pool area is clean, calm, and quiet, although the pool is rather small. I usually had the entire deck to myself. This was a great choice.

Girls Trip

We come, as a group to La Palapa every year, this condominium is the nicest I’ve stayed in, it located within walking distance to some great shops, excellent restaurants and some fun nightlife. The hosts were wonderful, the property was lovely and very comfortable. I slept really well, which I don’t usually on strange mattresses and pillows. The kitchen is well appointed and the cleaning people are excellent.

Our condo was nicely decorated and fully stocked. The location was perfect, on the beach and close to fabulous restaurants. No need for a vehicle, cabs readily available. Owners very responsive to my inquiries. Would highly recommend, we will be back!

Fantastic!

I stayed here with my family of four and we all just loved it! The location is perfect. Just steps from the beach, outstanding restaurants and just a floor away from the spacious rooftop pool. The views outside the private veranda is amazing too. We’ve never taken so many sunset pictures with a perfectly placed palm tree that just sets the mood. Can’t wait to be back here!!

Great Condo

This condo is very nicely appointed with traditional Mexican decor. Located right in the heart of the Romantic Zone everything is just steps away. The hosts are very well organized, the check in process is super efficient and the condo is very clean overall. The building has a staffed 24 hour front desk !

Our La Palapa penthouse is ideally located in the top northwest corner of the building. This affords a spectacular ocean view. You will enjoy the crashing ocean waves and incredible sunsets from your very own balcony or the rooftop deck and pool area.

What makes this property unique

Our condo has a welcoming and warm traditional feel and at the same time a remodeled kitchen with modern finishes and appliances, even a beverage/wine fridge. The ceilings of our condo are 11ft which gives you an open airy feel. The 24 hour doorman is welcome treat. Our cleaning lady has serviced this unit for many years. She is a wonderful person and great at her job. You will feel well taken care of during your stay.
