About the host
Hosted by David Muller
Together with my partner, Margot, who owns the property, we live in a delightful gabled home with our two children and our three dogs and the occasional rack pigeons who come down from the nearby mountains to nest on our front porch.
The photograph above is of our friends and neighbours and my mother-in-law, Ann enjoying an outdoor meal in our sunny back garden.
My name is David and I have been having tremendous fun as a stage actor entertaining audiences with single-handers telling stories. My partner is nursing sister who works as an educational manager at a local hospice. Robin my son teaches surfing and loves it and my daughter, Ruth is in Grade 9 at one of the best public schools in the country. Ruth wants to become an actress. Why, heaven alone knows. It's jolly hard work earning a living as an actor. I think that is why we enjoy have guests come and stay in our guest studio in our indigenous back garden,

Why they chose this property
We live in a relatively quiet neighbourhood. Sometimes when there are no guests I sneak into the studio for a quick nap for it is a very very quiet spot.
The home also has a Dutch gable and my partner Margot's father was a Dutchman so i think that may have been the attraction.

What makes this property unique
The indigenous trees, the milkwood in the front garden and the white stink-wood and avocado pear tree in the back a are added attractions. We also have very friendly neighbours. We know just about every one in our road by name.
We also enjoy a low white wall fronting our property. This may be because our three medium size dogs are a deterrent sometimes.
Overall we are very happy to be living here. Both children only know Taringa as their home. Their bedrooms may be small but each room has high ceilings. Ruth sleeps in a bed on stilts giving her more space for all her clothes etc.
