About this property
Gorgeous loft in trendy De Waterkant, Table Mountain views, no load shedding!
Location, location, location!! Centrally located and close to the V&A Waterfront, this luxury loft, with sweeping views of Table Mountain is the perfect choice for a city break. Most of the Mother City's attractions are within walking distance. Trendy restaurants, bars, and shops are within a stones throw. Bree St, famed for it's culinary delights is just a few mins walk, as is Long Street. Reliable 100mb unlimited fibre WIFI, a proper office chair and work desk for the remote workers, Air Con, Smart TV streaming Netflix, washer/dryer, outdoor swimming pool, secure parking, 24hr security/reception desk. Being on the city grid, the apartment never experiences any power cuts so no pesky load shedding!! As well as for leisure, this is the perfect place to work from home.
I have tried to think of everything that will make your stay as convenient and 'home from home' as possible. All you should really need are your clothes!
The kitchen is large, fully equipped, and loved by people who cook – it has everything you need. Tea and delicious freshly ground coffee is complimentary, and for those that can't go without it, there is a Nespresso machine!
The open plan living/kitchen/dining area opens up onto a spacious private balcony with outdoor seating. The luxurious bathroom has both bath and shower, with free toiletries and plenty of soft fluffy towels.
Stairs lead you up to the mezzanine level loft bedroom with extra length, top of the range, pocket spring Serta kingsize bed. Quality linen, and luxury pillows ensure that you will have a good nights rest. Plenty of cupboard space for your clothes.
It really is hard to beat the location, the block is nestled between the uber cool De Waterkant Village, the City Centre and the Bo Kaap. Loads of top rated restaurants are within a stone's throw, the super cool Bree Street, Heritage Square, and the Cape Quarter are 5 mins walk. Long Street and the heart of the Bo Kaap 10 mins walk, V&A Waterfront 15 mins walk. Company Gardens, the museums and CTICC 10 mins walk. To get to the beaches or the Cable car, you can hop on a MyCiti bus, or take a 10 min taxi ride.
I have put together a comprehensive guide, (like a mini Lonely Planet!!) to help you get the most out of your stay with hints and tips of what to do/where to eat etc. I can also put you in touch with an excellent private tour guide if you wish to do some tours (the Winelands and Cape Peninsula via Cape Point a must!!) With super easy access to the main highways, you will be at the airport in 20 mins, and 35 mins you will be in the heart of the Winelands.

About the host
Hosted by Claire Parrish

I am originally from Newcastle in the North East of England. After living and working in the corporate world in London for 6 years, i decided i needed a break. I enrolled on a volunteer program which enabled me to work with lions in Zimbabwe, and then at a health clinic in Zambia. It was in Zambia that i knew my life had to change, it seemed to me, that in Africa you could be whatever you wanted to be! I was allowed to help deliver babies, was a lab technician, amongst other things, and also in the afternoons i taught kids English.
At the end of the volunteering, i joined an overland tour which ended in Cape Town. I fell instantly in love with the city and decided i would live there. I had no clue what i would do when i moved, but things fell into place instantly and i started modelling and acting in TV commercials. I have now lived in Cape Town 7 years, and can truly call it my home. I spend any of my free time hiking on the mountain, i love living so close to, and having access to such beautiful nature.

Why they chose this property
When i first arrived in Cape Town i stumbled upon De Waterkant. I loved the quaint cobbled streets and felt like it was a secret place i had uncovered. The original Cape Quarter was just the piazza, and of course since then it has been extended and grown into a delightful hip and trendy area loved and known by all.
What makes this property unique
I actually looked at many properties in the area, but my favourite block was Soho on Strand. It seemed quiet and tranquil considering it was in the middle of the city and with the huge glass windows in every foyer, the views were stunning. I loved the double volume loft style, and the apartment just had that special feel.
