Visit our home and enjoy a private suite that is attached to the house and contains 1 bedroom and 1 bath. There is also a very comfortable couch in the living room area for sleeping. This room can sleep 4 people with available cots, two (2) adults and 1 or 2 small children, ages 12 and under. In the suite is a private bathroom with a shower and a claw-foot bathtub with dimming lights overhead, which creates a romantic and relaxing setting. The suite is furnished with a bed and dresser. THIS UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A KITCHEN. There is no smoking on the premises. There are no pets allowed in the suite. There is also a wood burning stove which provides warmth on those chilly nights. This suite has its own PRIVATE ENTRANCE. There is an additional charge for children over the age of 12, $50 per night, payable BEFORE check in with an additional sturdy queen-size blow-up mattress. There is a minimum 2 nights stay.

Our house is located in the Victorian Port City of Manistee and is right on Lake Michigan. Even though the weather is cooler, you can still walk the beach and enjoy breath-taking sunsets. Be embraced with the peace, joy and serenity at our home. There is off-street parking for one car only. Any other cars would have to park on the street, (which is no problem). The suite is furnished with a dining table and 4 chairs. We have provided a microwave, a toaster oven (with small grill) and a small coffee pot. There is also a mini-fridge. There is an outdoor firepit for additional ccooking and for the ambiance of the evening. A flat screen TV and WiFi are available. The suite is wheelchair accessible. Only 10 minutes away is the Little River Casino where you can try your luck 24/7.

We have steps that lead to our private beach, where you can walk for miles in either direction.

Great place to stay for our fall color drive

We totally enjoyed staying at Gary & Shirley's place. They were hospitable and the place was clean and beautiful right on Lake Michigan. We enjoyed walks on the beach, sitting around the fire at night, and driving to TC. Thank you for sharing this wonderful get-a-way place!

Beautiful setting right above the beach. Only issue was upon check-in the room felt and smelled musty. Opening windows and running ceiling fans helped a lot. Nice owners live in adjacent part of home. Wonderful location with lots to experience in the area. Saw 3 bald eagles.

Location fabulous for sunsets, quiet beach walks. Easy drive into Manistee. Accommodations themselves are pretty dated, there is no air conditoning (and difficult to get a cross-breeze), and the door separating the spaces is pretty thin. There's a water issue in the bathroom and would guess owners are aware since there's a bucket under the sink. Met very nice owner in the driveway as we were coming in.

Great fall getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary trip at this location. There are plenty of activities to do local. Owners are friendly and quick to respond to any questions. I would recommend this for any couple trying to get a short getaway.
