Get away from the hustling city with your own 6 Bedroom house, game room and stunning views off the back deck to gaze at the stars and endless trees in a peaceful outdoor space as well as a front deck to sit and relax the day away. This Timber Ridge retreat is close to the lake, town and slopes for year-round entertainment.

Enjoy this home in the winter and watch the kids sled off the back deck (or adults) and barbecue on the weber grill... on the large lot with a snow park in the back yard. One of the best areas for sledding in town! In the summer hike around the area on some of the trails or hop in the car and see some of the more remote areas. Or simply stay at home and watch the herd of deer walk up and graze near the back fire pit.

This home is perfect for large family gatherings or multiple family vacations to share the love and bonding with your nearest and dearest as we have. WHOLE HOUSE FAN & Air conditioning was added for the rare heat wave. Turn the fan on first thing in the morning and make the entire house low 60 degrees and be cool all day.

In Winter (Oct-Mar) outdoor couches and tables are put away and stored to protect against weather damage.

Perfect Weekend Stay

My friends and I stayed at this cabin for a weekend in the mountains and hit the slopes 30 minutes away at China Peak. It was a beautiful home and very comfortable for a home base. The location was amazing, quiet, and secluded. I would 100% recommend and return here for another stay.

Amazing & Super clean!

We had a great time at this cabin! Many things for the kids to do and lots of space to spread out. It was super clean, decorated very nice, made you feel at home. We hope to be planning another stay soon!

Family trip

A great second time at Shaver Lake cabin!

Hello! We spent a long weekend in Shaver Lake at this awesome (huge) cabin. We were accompanied by 3 other families and spent our days snowboarding at China Peak. We plan to do it again next year! The house is perfect-- good proximity to China Peak, separate downstairs hang out area for kids, huge dining table for big family dinners, great sledding hill next to the house and much more. See you next year!

Enjoyed our stay

The house was great for our entire family of 12. We did a couple hikes, and tried our luck fishing. I think Summer months we will have to try Shaver again, as there is not that much to do in the Winter months. My only complaint, and the host did previously warn me was they only provide a starter kit of toiletries. We did have to go out and purchase paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap.

Very Clean and Gorgeous Cabin

This is the second year I have booked this cabin for others to stay for their yearly retreat. I sincerely enjoy working with this owner and VRBO. Very professional and property is super clean and is enjoyed every time. Highly recommend the property and its centrally located.

Best rental ever

We have stayed at several properties in the Shaver area, never one as clean and luxurious as this. My wife raved about the jetted tub in the master bath. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect for three generations

This property was perfect for our group of three generations. There was plenty of space and sitting areas to be apart yet roomy enough for all of us to be together to share a meal or play games. The host was very responsive to questions and clear about check-in/out procedures. We cooked complete large meals for the whole group and the kitchen was well stocked (except I would suggest a new potato peeler). We all appreciated the welcome touches like coffee filters placed on the coffee pots ready to be used. This property met all our needs and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will be back!

Great time in the snow

We had a wonderful trip to Shaver Lake! The house was perfect for our group of 4 families (6 elementary age children). The kids loved sledding next to the house, there was plenty of room for everyone to be together or have some space, it was great to send kids downstairs when they wanted to be rowdy and play, there were lots of great games and toys onsite. We snowboarded at China Peak (30-40 min away depending on road conditions). It is an awesome, large cabin. We are already talking about booking next winter!

Fun filled weekend

An amazing stay in shaver, the cabin was very spacious enough for all our friends and family. Down stairs area served great for kids hang out while the top floor worked well for the adults and babies. Great location, close to the store and a short drive to the resort. Plenty of parking for vehicles and a perfect hillside to sled and occupy the kids. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great house for multiple families

This was a great house with plenty of space for our group of 4 families with young children (ages 1-6). Kitchen was well stocked for us to cook all of our meals. The house was very clean. The kids loved having the downstairs play area. Bedrooms all had space for a pack n play. For future guests I recommend communicating about the check in process ahead of time. We were skiing at China peak without reception before check in, which complicated things. Also, there is no soap, shampoo, etc provided so make sure to bring your own.

Stunning

This place is amazing , exactly what we were looking for , we had a party of 12 including teenagers and kids , everybody loved it , there was enough room for all of us and it never felt crowded, the house several amenities that fitted all of our needs, the adults enjoyed the deck we had a bbq day , while the kids were downstairs playing with all the game boards and games available in the game room. We had enough bathrooms for everybody Location is good too The only thing we didn’t have was an ice cream scooper we couldn’t find it other than that we are planing on going back next year.

Lots of space

Our family had a reunion at Shaver and stayed at this great house. There was plenty of room for grandparents and 4 families. The two living rooms gave separation and space when needed. The back deck had an extra large table enough space for us all to have dinner together. Kitchen was big enough to have many chefs in there at once, plus plenty of bathrooms. They also just added asphalt to the driveway and we had plenty of room for our boat and jet skis. We would definitely go back!

Amazing Shaver Lake cabin

We had a large group comprised of 5 families. The photos do not do this property justice. It is a beautiful cabin in a great location convenient to town and the lake. Unfortunately, on our second day, a nearby forest fire caused the air around Shaver Lake to be extremely smoky. Since we all stayed indoors, the cabin provided ample entertainment for our group. Various games in the gameroom, multiple TVs and other amenities kept us busy. Luckily the smoke cleared up by late afternoon and we were able to explore the outdoors. The owners were very communicative and accommodating. The property is highly recommended and I will be coming back here for future stays.

Annual Family Snow Adventure

The 5 star review for all categories speaks for itself. The property manager was excellent in addressing consumable supply issues, explaining why there cannot be an abundance in stocking. Be sure to pack extra toilet paper, hand and body soap, dish soap, trash bags (all sizes), paper towels, etc.

Family Trip ♥️

We loved the rental. It was very clean and the layout is wonderful for a group with a arange of ages. We were never crowded in one area which made for a very relaxing time. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We would definitely love to stay again sometime.

Amazing property!

This house was better than advertised and the sledding was fantastic! We had the most fun and we didn't have to leave the property. Well never stay at another place and will keep coming back for the sledding on the property. Cant wait to book when there is a storm forecast for our stay. Best Place for a Large Family

This was one of the best homes we have ever rented. There were more than enough rooms, beds and bathrooms. We loved the downstairs very roomy game/living room with games, shuffleboard and more. The small frig and sink was nice touch. The kitchen was very well equipped. The only things we brought was a Keriug, even though they had a coffee maker and a large deep skillet. We were thrilled that the property was so large-3 excellent sled runs, hiking and play areas. Communication was excellent. Peter was very helpful snd kind throughout the trip. We plan to book it again. Thank you.

Excellent big family cabin

Our extended family of 12 had a fantastic time playing in the snow at Timber Cabin. The house is spacious and well appointed, the beds are comfy, the kitchen and dining area are super usable and functional, there are plenty of bathrooms for multiple families, and everything is very well maintained. Cabin access is easy and the forest views right off the deck are lovely. I have seldom had such consistently excellent communication with the property managers I suppose some people would find the back and forth overbearing but we loved knowing we were well supported and that boundaries were clear (we had 7 kids in tow, we know you gotta set ground rules!), We built a spectacular set of sled runs in the yard, as the hill is an ideal slope for kids of all ages to get as much speed as is manageable. Not too steep, not too shallow, a goldilocks play zone for snow. We had a lovely time and we'll gladly make repeat visits.
