My family very much enjoyed staying at the beautiful cabin. It was perfect in every way, cleanliness, roomy, gorgeous views and we had everything we needed. The kids had a wonderful time exploring and playing in the game room! Sharon is a wonderful host. If we ever come back to the Blackhills we will stay here again!!

Awesome !!! Did you happen to get a picture of the rainbow? Very happy to hear that your week stay at our place was enjoyable.
We had a great time and really enjoyed the property. It was big and had a great open floor plan. It had everything needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. The family had a great time, spent more than one day just hanging out and playing games. The host were very friendly and enjoyed talking to them, as this was our first time in South Dakota. All around a great experience.
The property and site is wonderful! The property itself is enormous, with beautiful hikes one can take just by walking out the door. The house itself is lovely, with very large communal spaces and a wonderful set of activities in the garage. Sharon was very helpful and accommodating. Our son demanded we bookmark the property to come back again!

Love your review and your sons excitement!
We enjoy hearing that all ages enjoy their stay and getting to explore the beauty we are blessed to have.
We loved staying at this property. The scenery was fantastic and we had fun exploring the land around the house. It was just a few minutes to Wind Cave National Park and about 15 minutes to downtown Hot Springs. The owners were super helpful and found and mailed a camera charger we left before we even realized it was missing. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and this was one of the best experiences we have had.

Thank you for the great review!
We are thankful we can share our views and properly with guests to give them the country experience.
We were looking to get away to enjoy some peace and quiet. This location was perfect! The home was comfortable, clean, spacious, warm and inviting. The owners Sharon and Perry, were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We started out each day watching the sunrise followed by herds of deer feeding just below the house. After a full days activity exploring the Black Hills and Badlands, we would come back to enjoy a warm fire in the fireplace. This was truly one of the best vacations we've had!

We enjoy visiting with our guests and what a pleasure it was to meet and visit with these couples that traveled from Southeast US.
They were able to enjoy the serenity with beautiful Spring days and the beauty of snow on our expansive landscape.
We look forward to visiting with them on their next visit.
We had the best time together. We came to experience all the sites of South Dakota and we did! All the drives were beautiful from this location. The home was so spacious and the kitchen had everything you could need if you like to cook. The wildlife around the home kept us entertained—deer, wild turkeys and huge Magpies. The full-moon rising was spectacular. Bring your cameras and binoculars. You’ll wish you did.
Thank you Sharon for being so hospitable and accommodating to our requests.
The pictures are accurate too.
This was my first experience at a VRBO. Owner did a quick checkin with a different family member so hoping I did things right. It was a spacious place to stay, for a larger family. We had 5 adults and 6 smaller children. We were off the highway on gravel roads a few miles, but close to several attractions. Cows grazed right up to our doors so we dealt with a lot of flies. Owners live on the property which was a bit unusual, especially when they showed up unexpectedly and did a walk through. Don’t expect to do any work on your computer! Connections are very slow and not secure. One fridge and small freezer. Bring ice! Overall we enjoyed our 5 day stay.

Thank you for taking time to submit a review for your stay. We greatly value feedback from our renters in order to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Information for your stay was emailed to you several weeks prior to your arrival and is also on the counter in the home for guests review and convenience.
Our previous guests have enjoyed the seclusion and serenity that our vacation rentals have provided them. Guests have expressed their appreciation to us regarding the convenience of having our onsite presence for questions, maintenance issues, garbage removal, etc. We provide guests their utmost privacy and we do not do a walk through of our rentals.
Guests are aware if we do need to enter the rental property for maintenance issues, we do not enter without first notifying/scheduling an appropriate date/time that works best for them. We had been trying to get a heating/cooling contractor in the home for several weeks and the contractor's busy schedule allowed him to arrive later in the day.
Yes, we do live in the country, which provides generous space and beautiful skies (day or night). This is the first complaint of cows, flies and internet accessibility. This is also the first complaint of the size of refrigerator and freezer, which are a larger standard size for a home. We are not urban, we are not by a busy road and not by large groups of people. The closest neighbor is a mile away.
We have had amazing guests! Our guests have thanked us for providing our home to their family(s) in order to enjoy their vacations without crowds especially this summer. We truly appreciate and enjoy visiting with our guests.
Thank you for your excellent review!
To future travelers, our recent guests have not had an internet connectivity concern. The glitches that concerned a previous guest from earlier this summer are no longer an issue.
Stayed here four nights with family. Lovely home with lots of room and beautiful views. Quiet and peaceful with some very pretty outdoor areas to explore. Grandkids enjoyed foosball, air hockey and toys. Beautiful drives through the Black Hills to Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands. Booking process went smoothly and host took time to answer our questions and recommend restaurants. Plan to stay here again when back in this area.
It was so hard to leave this absolutely stunning home and property! Truthfully as amazing as the pictures are you have to be there to really see it for yourself. The views are unbelievable and the home owners are just wonderful! I can’t express enough how magnificent a place this is.
Perfect location to make family memories! Perfect hosts to enhance the experience!
Sharon & Perry were gracious and accommodating hosts. It was wonderful to rent at a location that exceeded our expectations. Even moreso, a true blessing to feel a kindred spirit with the owners and journey home having made new friends! On behalf of my husband, my sons and their families we highly recommend this location and Sharon & Perry as Property Owners!
Highest Regards! Sharla
We had 10 family members staying. This house was perfect for us. We had enough room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. It was a very private and rural setting. We enjoyed watching the turkeys, deer, and birdwatching. We hiked around the large property several times. Sharon was available if we needed anything, but very respectful of our privacy. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we had enough towels. The place is beautifully furnished, with much attention to details. There was a beautiful fireplace, and a large deck. We plan on making this our annual family reunion house. I very much recommend staying here. We'll be back!

About the host
Hosted by Sharon Klein; 605 430-6018; sharonklein56@gmail.
We are South Dakotans and have called the beautiful Black Hills our home for nearly 40 years. We purchased this property in 2011. We enjoy every minute we can spend at this property. We hope our guests enjoy the beauty and serenity as much as we do.
When we brought the property, the house was already built, but unfinished. As you can see in bedrooms, the walls are constructed of concrete with logs inserted, therefore making the thick walls. The house stays cool in summer and warm in winter.
Why they chose this property
You will love the openness of our property and the openness of the home. Enjoying the nights on the large patio with wide open skies and abundance of stars is so peaceful. Hiking possibilities on our land to enjoy more amazing views.
What makes this property unique
For respect to our guests and future guests with allergy sensitivities, we do not allow pets or smoking. Openness, secluded, beautiful views.
