Great place to stay!
The house is great, plenty of room for six of us. The pond was great, caught lots of bluegill, a couple of bass and a catfish. It was close enough to lots of thing to do. We would definitely stay again.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and apologize that the hot tub was not working. We have since fixed it and it is ready for your next stay!
This was the best place to stay to get away from our busy lives. We saw deer every day and right in the back yard. The hot tub was extremely relaxing, the kitchen had everything we needed to make big family meals and the beds were comfortable.

The cabin was clean and comfortable. Beautiful deck and pond. There was so much to enjoy. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. They had games, books, and baby gates for the stairs. Hope to visit again soon!

The property worked well for our group. It was relaxing waking up and sitting on the deck to the view of the water and deer in the yard. We were not ready to leave on Sunday morning.
Can’t say enough about this great house and beautiful location! Everything we needed with a nice pool table and hot tub. I would, although, not recommend this house if you have toddlers because of the steps and the railings upstairs loft because the spacing is too wide and kids could easily fit through. Other than that I would highly recommend this house.

House was clean and beds were comfortable. We had fun in the pond fishing and made use of the canoe. We brought floats and I would recommend bringing some if you come in the summer. It's a gorgeous location, very peaceful. Check in and check out was super easy. We would definitely stay here again. Our only complaint would be the dock needs some work, it's showing it's age.

The house is very cute and the outside (pond and hot tub) were definitely the highlight. The table was sticky, dust/cobwebs/spiderwebs throughout the house. The smell in the house was stale. Beds were comfy but controlling the heat/air was tricky. The bedrooms on the first floor would be freezing cold by morning where the basement bedroom and loft bedrooms would be roasting. Great location and check in and checkout were easy!

Hold your breath
Overall the property was good, our family made it a great weekend! The septic tank system needs work, lots of work! The traps did not keep the odors out of the property! We had to keep the bathroom doors closed and the ceiling fans running to control the odor.

We truly apologize for this. We have since had a plumber correct the venting issue.
Thank you for your understanding.
We loved our home and the location. However, we do have a couple of feedback points.
My son is an HVAC technician. He could tell there was an issue with the air conditioning. He cleaned the air filter which was in very bad shape. No it works perfectly fine. Next, the sliding door does not lock. Finally there is a receptacle in the downstairs bedroom that is not secure. This could be a fire hazard.
Other than that, we loved it.

We’re delighted you loved both the home and the location. We appreciate the feedback and the attention to the air conditioner filter. The sliding door was just installed by the same contractor who completed the exterior remodel in May. They failed to adjust the lock properly. The latch and the loose wall outlet have both been addressed. Again, we’re glad you loved staying at Mountainaire and we hope to see again soon!

Nice place to stay overall but needs good maintenance
Overall we had a nice stay, but the property could be better maintained.
We enjoyed the calm, the location and beautiful setting, the fireplace. However we found the information on the place and check in could be improved (we could not open the front door, and there is no information provided in the folder that are specific to the place beyond WiFi - for example on basic things such as heating in the house). Heating did not work in some rooms, many bulbs not working (see kitchen). The bathrooms would benefit from a little upgrade and the one upstairs is extremely small. Finally, stairs and loft inside the house are extremely dangerous and we had an accident with a toddler. Please think about protection those stairs as I see another comment on that. I would recommend listing as a 4 bedrooms in the parameters given the 2 extra beds are in a loft above the living room.

Thank you for your feedback and glad you enjoyed this splendid property. We checked both the door locks, and they were functioning properly. With a double door lock system, you unlock the knob first, then the deadlock. We took your advice and placed notice on the base board heaters on the open living space that they are no longer functional and refereed guests to use the new heater/AC wall unit that was recently installed. This was a considerable upgrade for certain. The light bulbs were all working fine, and one bath was completely remodeled in December. Pictures of all three baths are available online.
As for the loft, additional banisters were added to increase safety, but the stairs are tricky for toddlers. Pictures of the steps are also available online. The open steps are a design concept of the house as all three floors of that side of the house is open. Only the bedrooms and the baths are closed rooms.
We were two families spending our Spring Break in the area - it was our third time to Davis, and our friends had never been there before. This house was a perfect fit for us. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 5 kids. It was super clean upon arrival. Zero 'smell' - owners definitely did solve the problem the previous renters mentioned. Home overall is well-loved and lived-in but the furniture is very comfortable (couches looked fairly new), kitchen table fit us all comfortably, and the beds/mattresses are perfect, we all slept great. Loved the tasteful decor. Kitchen had everything we needed. We kept our rubbermaid totes filled with pantry items as there's not much space in cabinets since they're so well stocked. A caution on the oven - the right side heats faster than the left - I put two trays of bacon in and one turned out perfect and the other was burnt to a crisp. Luckily some of us like burnt bacon ;) Only other caution - DVD player is much older than the TV and it doesn't actually have the right plug to work with it, so the DVDs I brought couldn't be played - but we found something on Netflix so no big deal! The pool table, hot tub, Atari, and canoe got tons of use - the downstairs was the kid zone. Love that they have bins of corn to feed the deer, who weren't shy in the least. We had an EPIC egg hunt on Easter Day that the kids will never forget. The place was magic - thank you to the owners for sharing this lovely home. We'll be back!

The cabin was great for a family trip of 4 adults and 4 kids. Fully stocked with a grocery store 20 mins away for home cooked meals. Trails around were great and we loved seeing the deers daily.

Everything about this property was great. We couldn't fault anything. The location is great. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and seeing deer everywhere, kids got in the pond and kayaked, we went on a few hikes within the Timberline community and just hanging out at the property. The fireplace was a real bonus and enjoyed it everyday. The property was very clean when we arrived. Another bonus was the washer and dryer. Sure came in handy with kids getting wet and muddy. Also, the hot tub was used everyday with a view of plenty of deer around the property. We give this property 10/10.

This is a great place to stay in Timberline! Home has comfortable furniture, kitchen is well stocked with cookware and appliances seem new. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for my whole family. Communication with property management was easy and check in/check out procedures were clear and easy! Would definitely stay at this property again.
