Everything was great. The house was nicely remodeled with great bathrooms and it was the perfect house to gather a large group, with everyone having space.
House was perfect for our large group. We enjoyed the lake and the game room. Plenty of room far all with beautiful bathrooms. We would recommend to others!
This was the perfect house for my sisters 50th bday weekend! Plenty of beds for everyone, the kids played in the game room the whole time, the bathrooms were amazing! Definitely felt like a special place for a special weekend.
This lake home is gorgeous. It's definitely not your typical cabin in the woods. The kitchen is very bright and has a gorgeous view of the lake. There is a ton of space to relax, play and enjoy together. The game room was an extra bonus for some of our cooler/rainy days (And any time the kids were inside, they were playing in the game room!) Dock was easy access to park the boat and the bottom was sandy to swim right off the shore/dock. We really enjoyed fishing off the dock as well -- caught some huge bass and bluegill! We saw so many loons, eagles, and ducks. We really enjoyed the chairs by the firepit -- they have a pull out cup holder! Bill was easy to communicate with and made sure we got settled in ok. We can't wait to come back!
This house is just beautiful. It was very spacious, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean. The kitchen was huge with anything you would need. There is a deck just off the kitchen that looks out on the lake…great place for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. It is a flat walk out to the dock, nice big back yard. There are 3 steps to climb before reaching the kitchen level of the house, with no railing, so just a note for anyone with mobility issues. There are many great places to eat close by, with very friendly people. Our favorite was “The Still” which had an old fashioned real still in the bar and many great pictures of the bootleggers days. Their Thursday night specials are baby back ribs which were wonderful. We bought our own boat, there is plenty of room on the dock to park one’s boat. There is only one boat landing on the lake which was a bit sketchy for our larger boat. You need to pull off into an area across the road, then back down into the landing going across the road watching out for traffic. Thee is no dock. Unloading was ok, but loading was difficult as the concrete in the water was broken up and uneven and was hard to get the trailer in level. The landing was very close to the house which was great, There is plenty of room at the house to park and turn around , including boat and trailer. Communication with Bill was great, we were sent a contract ahead of our stay that told us everything we would need to know.
Had 8 guys stay 3 nights. Amazing property, location, and host. Bill was super helpful, responsive, and flexible. Definitely considering rebooking for next year.
The home is exactly what we need for our families. Everyone has a comfortable room, enough room for everyone.

The name says it all!
We really enjoyed the peaceful yard. Did a little fishing off the dock, and loved waking up to a gorgeous lake view! Can't wait to bring the whole family next time!
We all had a fun and warm family Christmas. There was plenty of room for the kids to be kids and adults to be adults. Never had to worry about wher us everyone going to sit or where is everyone going to sleep. No one wanted to leave. My grandson said to me Sunday morning as we were packing up “ grandma I don’t want to leave I want to stay longer.” I told him I didn’t want to leave either. He enjoyed play and building a snow fort outside on the ice. We will be back next year as everyone wants to come back. Bischel’s Christmas 2024
We rented this property as part of my son’s wedding weekend, with the family wedding brunch held the next day at the property. It was perfect. The property is beautiful, the kitchen is huge, and the bedrooms are beyond words. I recommend this property to everyone! I wish I could live there!
We spent our annual holiday weekend at this beautiful home. The kids (and adults) were entertained all weekend with the wonderful game room. We were very lucky with ice fishing! Plenty of room for everyone and a beautiful kitchen to cook for the crew. We loved it and will definitely be back!! :)
Great place for hanging out with friends for a long weekend!
Lot's of open space for playing games or watching movies. Everything was clean and well maintained. Nice views of the lake, especially pretty as some of the trees were turning colors.
Bill's house & property is great. There is plenty of room for our families. Bill was responsive & helpful. The Lake was perfect for paddleboards, kayaks, tubing & skiing. Lots of fun fishing from the end of the pier for the kiddos. The yard was spacious, with a firepit & room for hammocks & games. The game room was also loved. All ages had a great time. We hope to be back soon!
Our multigenerational family ages10 to 83 all enjoyed this home on McKenzie Lake. Bill responded quickly whenever I had a question. Kitchen, and grill were great for cooking. Nice big yard for lawn games. We loved having kayaks and water toys, and the fishermen were very happy with their catch on the lake. The house was well arrange for bedrooms, and well stocked with towels . We look forward to returning.
Our children and grandchildren and our adult family home celebrated our Christmas this past weekend. There was lots of room for all of us, the game room was a huge hit with everyone. We were sad to leave. We are looking forward to next time when we can go back.
