Friends and Relative..... ........Humble two bedroom, one bath with a full kitchen. Across the street from the beach known as "Puka Pants," located on the West side of O'ahu. Both bedrooms have their own sliding doors gaining access to a large 3 sided wrap around balcony. Railings are paneled for that added privacy, perfect for sun tanning. During the night you are soothed with the rhythm of the ocean and some traffic. lol ...Enjoy a beverage watching the sunrise/sunset. This romantic getaway is waiting for you...Aloha we C U soon!

Great place to stay.

The house was amazing. I woke up a few times to the sound of waves crashing which was cool AF. Sam was very nice and even though I was by myself the cameras made me feel way safer. If you are planning a trip definitely stay here!!!!

Great low key location and house!

Sams place was great! It was clean with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. It’s a great west side location with quick access to Ko Olina and the north shore. Sam was very accommodating and let us check out late. Would definitely stay there again!

Great Place to Stay!

Right infront of Puka Pants Beach and 10 minutes away from Makaha Beach Park which for me is one of the best beached in Oahu. The house has everything you need from cookware, utensils, cooler, bath towels and more! Sam was such a gracious host! Will definitely be back!

We had a great stay! It is in a good location to be away from the business of Honolulu. Sam was a wonderful host and being greeted by Honey was an added bonus. San was great to give us advice about Oahu. There is some road noise that earplugs took care of. Thank you Sam!

Amazing views

Sam was an incredible host … everything about his place was just as described… We only wish we would have spent a little more time at the beach across the street … also we found a good affordable restaurant the day before we left so now I need to go back and visit Sam and his incredible home … Mahalo nui loa Sam!

Fun in the sun

We enjoyed staying here for our girl’s trip. It was clean and very comfortable. It was nice to have a cooler, chairs, umbrella and beach towels to use. Sam was an awesome host. He was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed and offered ideas of things to do. Loved being across from the beach!

Wonderful propert! Great communication with Sam. Kitchen was fully stocked and we ate multiple meals there. Beds were comfortable. It’s located away from crowds at Waikiki and Honolulu, but within driving distance of everything. I highly recommend!

The apartment was very comfortable and well located for western shore activities. The property owner was very nice and communicated well prior to our arrival. This is not a resort area. Nearby restaurants are small, local establishments. There is traffic noise as you sit on the deck facing the ocean, but otherwise the view is nice.

Awesome view across from the beach!

Large deck that wraps around the property allowing you to get a view of the beach or mountain. Large living room, large rooms, and kitchen. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Sam was kind and friendly. He gave us a tour of the property and told us we could text or call him if we had any questions. I will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful

The pictures online do not do this home justice. It’s got a view of the mountain range one one side and the ocean on the other. The reviews on this home were spot on. It is on a loud corner but it didn’t bother us because we were on vacation out exploring. Sam has the sweetest dog. If we go back to Oahu we’ll definitely be staying at Sam’s again.

Great Spot!

Great stay, immaculately clean & roomy VRBO. Sam is very friendly, helpful, & the perfect host. We enjoyed morning coffee & nightly evening meals /drinks to watch the sunset on the wrap around porch; the location right across from the beach so the view is amazing. Added plus is his friendly pup Honey Girl. The only downside is it is on a busy highway that can get noisy but everything else outweighs the traffic issue. Definitely recommend! Aloha & Mahalo for a great end to our vacation.

18 years later

We like staying away from touristy areas so following our 1st stay, 18 years ago, we decided to stay on the West side of the island. Sam was an excellent host and provided every need during our stay, items in the house were plentiful. Great communication before and during stay. Street noise is a little much at times, but what do you expect it’s Oahu!

Sam is the essence of aloha! He was an extremely helpful and responsive host. The property has ocean views and the unit is very comfortable, spacious and clean. As stated, it is on the major highway, so one does here traffic if out on the lanai. We didn't experience noise problems with traffic when indoors.

We enjoyed the inside of the condo. The balconies were very nicely decorated as well, and Sam was a great host! The biggest drawback was the traffic noise. It never seemed to stop. Bring ear plugs if renting here. After I started using mine, I was able to sleep.

Beautiful place, good location away from busy Honolulu

Excellent property, spacious and clean. Most essentials were provided. Host is super friendly and helpful. Just ask him if you need something. Traffic noise from Main Street maybe an issue for some people. We got used to it. Nice beaches in close driving distance. Beautiful wraparound deck with nice views. We truly enjoyed our 9 days stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The place is a lot bigger than I expected. Must be the wrap around porch. Good size kitchen. Nice views of the ocean. The bedrooms spacious . TV in every room. Wonderful Rental with Gorgeous Views

We spent 5 nights at Sam's place and couldn't have asked for a better place or a more gracious host. The condo was easy to find, even driving in at night. Sam keeps the place very well stocked and everything labeled so you can easily navigate through the apartment. The unit and the grounds were very clean. Sam was quick to answer all questions we had before and during our stay. As mentioned in other reviews, there is some road noise. For the most part it was quiet, with the occasional car with loud exhaust. We will definitely stay here again if back in Oahu!

Waianae? Whyanot?

We enjoyed our weeks stay at Sam's place. Some traffic noise at rush hour morning and evening, rest of the time very peaceful. Didn't spend a lot of time at the place as we were out exploring Oahu. Sat out on the surrounding deck at night with a cold beverage and the sounds of waves. Never made it past 10 pm. Sam has a cooler, beach chairs, snorkels and masks to enjoy a day at the beach. I'm fascinated at the way has fixed his place up. He has great ideas on places to go to enjoy your stay.

Watch the sunset every night!

This was a very comfortable place. It had everything we needed and extras. Extra sunburn cream, extra soap and shampoo, extra condiments. Sam was available so much for questions and just to have a conversation. The property felt safe and it's right across the street from the beach. We sat out on the lanai on evenings we got home early and watched the sunset. Ko Olina is 10 minutes away, even in heavy traffic. We managed to find parking every time we went. Found some other beaches further up the road that were also pretty nice with easy parking. Thanks Sam for everything.

So relaxing!

Reviews aren’t lying about the street noise. The property is at the corner of a very busy intersection. Tune it out. What a nice place! Beds are comfy. Kitchen is far better stocked than your typical rental (spices, tools, appliances, etc.). Full-sized side-by-side fridge/freezer. Great Internet. Great cable options. Super clean. Lanai is amazing, with tables, chairs, loungers and recliners. Lots of gear for outings, such as an ice chest, beach chairs, snorkel gear. Sam (the owner) lives downstairs, and very helpful.I’d give a thousand stars.

18th Birthday Vacation

Sam was a wonderful host! The house is about 40 minutes from downtown Honolulu. Right across from the beach with mountain and ocean views. We walked across the street every morning have coffee on the beach. This is a very local feeling neighborhood. There’s a Longs Drugs and Sac-n-Save close by. That being said you will hear the neighborhood dogs and chickens. The Farmington highway is right in front of the house and it can be noisy on the deck. There is air conditioning and all the comforts of home at Sams. Also a boogie board, snorkeling gear, towels and sunscreen. We had a wonderful time and felt right at home. Sam is a local to his core and knows all there is to know about where to go and what to see. We would absolutely stay again!
