The house was perfect and location was also perfect. We had perfect weather so we spent a lot of time on the deck or beach. Don’t think we sat in the living area at all ..lol.

We loved staying here. Unfortunately, my husband ended up having appendicitis and had to have emergency surgery within a day of arriving. The host was amazing and very helpful throughout his medical emergency. The deck was our favorite place to be and my husband spent most of his time recovery reading on it. This home was very clean, and the area was very peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend staying here. We also saw some whales from the deck, if you go in late March early April you may see them too.

Excellent proximity and access to the beach. Clean house, responsive host, super easy in & out process. Wake up to the sun, go to sleep to the crashing waves. Perfect deck, half covered for shade, half open for sun. Just what a "beach house" should be!

The location is excellent, and the property was as described. It’s a cute and perfect place for four adults and a toddler. However, it didn’t appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival, but it wasn’t terrible. The pillows were a bit smelly, and the covers didn’t seem to have been washed, but I’m also quite picky about bedding at rented places or hotels, so take it as you will. Pots and pans were not the best so bring your own if you plan on cooking. Other than that our stay was great! Highly recommended - just bring your own pillow and blankets!

the PROS: The house is literally right on the beach - fantastic! The house is clean, cute & quaint, we were 6 adults & were very comfortable in it. The back deck is awesome! the CONS: Its a big bummer you have to bring your own bed sheets, towels, paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies - for the cost, all that should be included. Check in is 1-2 hours too late & check out is 1 hour too early.

Leslie, We are so glad you loved your vacation! There is something very magical about being on the back porch that close to the ocean with all your senses relaxing and rejuvenating. We love that porch! Thanks for letting us know about the your thoughts on the linens and check in and check out. We have thought about it a lot and our top priority is to give consistently high quality ocean front experience to our guests. We live in a small beach town with 30,000 residents and 300,000 visitors each week during the summer. In order for us to consistently provide a great beach experience we had to evaluate what we can do very well consistently. With a 10 AM check out and 4 PM check in we only have 6 hours for our cleaning and maintenance staff to do their magic to prepare everything. We are sorry for the inconveniences but hope the magic of the ocean and our lovely beach cottage more than makes up for that. In regards to linens we have several excellent local companies that specialize in linen service that delivers before your stay and picks up after your check out. Warm Regards, Dave

Our 2nd time staying here and it’s the perfect beach cottage. The exterior keeps the original OBX beach charm and inside is beautifully decorated with modern upgrades. The porch very comfortable and clean. Pictures are accurate.

I loved this house and hope to book it again next summer! Beautifully renovated, loved the porch, and the wide open space! The keyless entry is great! Plenty of kitchen counter space! Thankful for having a washer/dryer! Closeness to the beach is a plus! Ease of renting this house and communication was a breeze!
