Escape into this remodeled 1929 cottage with an expansive garden, ocean views from nearly every room on a corner lot at the top of the street leading to the entrance of Laguna Beach’s famous 1000 Steps Beach. A spacious and beautiful garden offers a myriad of flowers, trees and plants. The master bedroom’s king bed with private deck and second bedroom’s queen size bed both overlook the ocean. A full kitchen provides an ocean view deck with table for morning coffee to enjoy dawn over the ocean. A large furnished patio and 5 burner grill is perfect for outdoor cooking and dining. The expansive, multi-level garden is surrounded by a wide variety of flowers, trees and vegetation where you can enjoy Laguna Beach sunsets. Step back to the tranquility of the 1930's close many of California's most beautiful Beaches, Parks, Hiking Trails, Mountain Biking, Art Shows and Exhibits, World Class Restaurants, Shops, Bars and Entertainment. Steps to free shuttle service throughout Laguna. Reserve with confidence as this is one of a limited number of permitted short term rental locations in Laguna Beach. BOOKINGS MORE THAN 28 DAYS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Cute cottage at a great location. Shady multi-level garden. The manager was very welcoming, courteous, and responsive. The reason marked the property as “good” is the lack of AC and a size of the bathroom for a 2BR property. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

The location was very nice, walking distance to the beach (but the hike back up the hill is strenuous!). Hosts were nice, and responsive when we ran short on TP, kitchen sponges. The garden area is really nice too.

We did another review of the distance from the house to Thousand Steps and in fact the distance is 700ft from the garden exit of the house to the entrance of Thousand Steps Beach. Perfect Laguna retreat

Excellent space centrally located off PC HWY. You are surrounded by lush green patios which draw you outside for meals and conversation. 1000 steps beach is directly across the street from the neighborhood which was perfect for teens. Absolute must for Laguna travels.

This is a very comfortable property located in easy reach of several beaches. Although thousand steps beach is closest, we found that Strands beach was easier to get to and friendlier for swimming. The weather was comfortable, cool by the coast, which made enjoying the patios and kitchen porch great. The house is clean and comfortable and contains all of the basics you might need. The kitchen is very functional and we were able to prepare meals in it easily.

This cottage has occupied this enchanting property since the 1930's, initially used as a guest house for a well known east coast family. The cottage has been updated yet kept its historical charm. The garden is full of flowers, plants, and trees (including an endangered California Redwood), with a view to the ocean and ever changing Laguna Beach sunsets. While within a short walk of Pacific Coast Highway, 1000 Steps Beach, South Laguna Restaurants and a Laguna Beach Trolley stop, the property is very private and quiet. The fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill with lots of indoor and outdoor seating provides the perfect environment to enjoy your culinary skills or just an a refreshment in the shade. After looking at dozens of properties we fell in love with the tranquility, beauty and charm of this typical Laguna Beach Cottage.

The privacy, tranquility, beautiful garden and ocean views are a unique combination in a property so close to the ocean. Hummingbirds, Sparrows, Woodpeckers, and Honey Bees are frequent guests.
