Oceanside is a beautiful private studio suite featuring stunning ocean views of Discovery Passage and a small island with an active Bald Eagle nest. Take this all in through the large picture frame windows or from your private terrace. Enjoy the beauty of every season in this exceptional suite year round. The suite enjoys south-western exposure embracing the sunlight and an ever changing view of boats and cruise ships traveling through the passage - dolphins, sea lions and orcas can frequently be seen.

The air conditioned suite features a full kitchen with bistro dining table. A bar-b-que on the terrace is a great way to end a fun filled day. Cozy up in the queen size bed featuring fine linens and enjoy the beautiful ocean view the minute you wake up in the morning! Enjoy the heated tile floors in the full size bathroom featuring bathtub and shower.

Get away from it all and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the suite. This private suite has its own private entrance from the main residence. The Suite has the best of both worlds. In season, take a 3 minute stroll to beautiful April Point Lodge and enjoy dining, fishing, or take in a wildlife tour.

Explore Quadra Island; beautiful Rebecca Spit is a perfect place for a picnic or to spend the day. Quadra features spectacular fishing, hiking, mountain bike trails, kayaking and scuba diving and much more! Visit the Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre, Salmon Eco Centre, Cape Mudge Lighthouse and South-end Farm Vineyard. Take a drive around the island and visit a variety of artisan studios from pottery to blown glass.

Friendly small island spirit is to be found all over Quadra and particularly at the Quadra Island Saturday market from May to September. You can spread out a blanket and make a day of it. Lots of grass, sun and shade from the trees. Enjoy the talent of a diverse mix of vendors, local artisans, food, produce, goodies, music, entertainers.

We had a wonderful week long stay in this quiet, lovely, well equipped and very comfy studio suite (e.g. heated bathroom tiles, comfy bed, fresh flowers) with a wonderful view of the ocean and mountains. From our window we looked out at an eagles nest in the trees on a small island just to our left, seals lolling on the rocks, had several whale and porposie sightings, thanks to a text from Sherry, our host we saw a family of deer slowly walking by our front window one evening. Sherry was a lovely host welcoming us when we arrived and texting us before we left.

Simply one of the best coastline experiences of the Ocean Front and Wildlife on Quadra Island. Easy access to: Ferry from Campbell River, Grocery Store and Local Restaurants. Great for a couple who like to go fishing or hiking and are welcomed with a place to relax after their adventures.

From the very start, our stay at Sherry's lovely spot on Quadra was beyond our expectations. The size was ideal for two and everything we wanted was there: a fully functioning kitchen, 2 lovely sitting areas (one inside and one out), a comfy bed, a clean, organized bathroom and a beautiful setting. The view from the deck and the living room is second to none! Sherry was helpful, gracious and responsive -- as was her son who also helped with the arrangements. Many, many thanks to both.

This is everything you could want in a home away! Very comfortable and clean. Gorgeous views. Our host was gracious, helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife (bring some binoculars) and passing cruise ships from the deck. Every detail has been thought of - there was not one thing lacking.

This is a beautiful peaceful spot and the studio apartment is clean and tastefully decorated. The views are amazing, with much wildlife to view. There is a lovely small patio to also savor the views. I enjoyed meeting and chatting with Sherry the host and she was most accommodating if I had any needs. I would definitely return.

So lovely!

We booked this place by chance… and discovered Quadra Island, which is like the cottage country for Vancouver Island. Peaceful, with beautiful nature. When we set foot in the apartment, we gasped: a huge window with an amazing view of the strait and mountains in the background. Such a gorgeous place! The apartment is super comfortable and Sherry is a lovely host. Hope to go back!!!

An Unforgettable Stay with Spectacular Views

Our recent stay at this wonderful property was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the spectacular views that greeted us. The house itself was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, making it feel just like home. Sherri, the owner, was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible.Every day was a treat with the breathtaking scenery. We were thrilled to spot eagles soaring above, and we enjoyed watching a variety of cruise ships, fishing boats, and float planes passing by. One of the highlights was hearing and catching a glimpse of what we believed were whales or porpoises – an experience we will cherish forever.We truly didn’t want to leave this little slice of paradise. Peaceful retreat above Discovery Passage

We stayed in this studio apartment for three nights in August 2024. The space itself was very nice. Clean, full amenities (loved the heated bathroom tiles) provided, with thoughtful design. The view of Discovery Passage, its surging tidal currents, and the surrounding mountains was mesmerizing. Wonderful sea kayaking opportunities literally next door, with lots of wildlife. Sherry and her son Mark have been in the hospitality business for many decades, and really know how to treat their guests well. They were very accommodating.

Beautiful, well appointed suite, clean and a perfect location to explore the island from. Greeted by a Humpback whale outside the window on day one, not to mention other wild life sightings during our stay. Massive storm passed through during our visit so missed out on sunsets, but on the other hand storm-watching was great. Can imagine the patio would be thoroughly enjoyed during warmer weather. Sherry is a great host - only a text away if needed. This suite is for sure added to our shortlist of places to stay!

We spent four fabulous nights in this wonderful suite. Everything was perfect. Beautifully designed, well stocked and so comfortable. We were lucky enough to have one of those amazing sunsets featured in the images, it was spectacular! We spent many hours happily watching the activities along the water from our private deck. Eagles, seals and vessels large and small provided constant entertainment. Out hostess was equally lovely and we were honoured to share the one night per year when her Queen of the Night bloomed! Thank you so much for a fabulous stay, we can't wait to return!

Sherry has lived on Quadra for 60 years and us originally from Great Falls Montana. With her husband Warren they co-owned April Point Lodge just down the road. Following the salmon depression of the early 90s, they sold the lodge but kept the adjacent properties. Sherry still loves to welcome every guest and handover the key personally. Her son Mark manages the property for her. She looks forward to meeting you and thank you for booking with Oceanside.
