Perfect & Cozy! Also…it sleeps 9. We were under the impression it only slept 8 so my nephew who joined us at the last minute was happy to not have to sleep on the couch!
Plenty of room with all the necessities. We had a short trip with young children. We enjoyed the river access just a short distance from the cabin which was pretty important due to the heat.

Thanks for your comments. We are so glad you enjoyed your time during your stay at Lost Creek Ranch Getaway Cabins.
We stayed 4 days 3 nights and loved every minute. Rustic charm, lots of pease and quiet and tons of wildlife. Meramec Springs is close and plenty of good places to eat In town. We plan on making this a regular get away!
We are very sorry for your inconvenience. Since we learned of this, we immediately replaced both the coffee maker and the DVD player with new equipment. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.
Glad you got to see the deer. They like the valley in front of the cabins.
We are sorry about the toilet handle breaking during you stay and very thankful for your tolerance with the situation.
The cabin didn’t come with any cleaning supplies or trash bags. A first for any place I’ve stayed where they expect you to remove your trash. The river is not by the cabin, it’s a couple miles down the road. If you stay and it rains the parking area in the back will flood with almost a foot of water. Bring your rain boots. After doing the dishes with soap I bought and putting the trash in the bin they still tried to charge me a 100 fee. Ridiculous. Stay somewhere else

Apparently some people just don't take the time to read anything. The vrbo listing for this property excludes consumables (i.e. trash bags, paper towels and toilet paper) from the amenities listing.
And the House Rules and Check-out instructions on this property listing includes:
* Remove personal items
* Remove leftover food and drinks
* Take out the trash - THE GUEST LEFT TRASH AND FOOD SCRAPS ALL OVER THE CABIN INTERIOR AND EVEN ON THE OUTSIDE. THERE WAS ALSO PLASTIC TRASH STREWN ABOUT FROM FIREWORKS STUFF. THE INSIDE TRASH FILLED 4 GARBAGE BAGS.
* Dirty dishes must be washed and returned to cabinets. Failure to do so will result in a $40 additional charge. POTS AND PANS WERE LEFT DIRTY, UNWASHED, WITH FOOD SCRAPS.
Also, a confirmation email with directions, check-in info, key location, and wifi password was sent to guest several days before arrival. The email contained
"Important information: Just a reminder our guests need to bring any CONSUMABLE items including TRASH BAGS, soap and shampoo, charcoal and BBQ utensils for grilling, and PAPER PRODUCTS such as paper towels and TOILET PAPER."
For a cabin outdoor experience it was okay. Communication with the management was tricky--they never sent, or I never received the check in process until we actually arrived. WIFI was spotty, TV remote was in sofa cushion (my husband finally found it), bathroom had a leak somewhere, never figured it out and we lost power for almost 2 hours Easter Sunday. Owner did not respond very quickly BUT in hindsight it was Easter weekend so that could have been the issue. I thought I read somewhere it had hiking trails in back and a dishwasher but that must have been for another listing. I won't say we would never go back there again, we still had fun and the adult grandkids liked the bedrooms and space. I just think it being Easter weekend and our first time ever we were a little disappointed but know what to expect next time.
I felt like I was walking into my home, very welcoming & very clean! The location is perfect for float trips, close enough to Adventurers Outdoors for rental. I loved being able enjoy quiet wilderness mornings and evenings watching the deer graze in the field.
If you are planning on Hunting the local public land this is where you want to stay. Also a great place to stay if you are planning to visit the Maramac State Park. The park is pretty much across the street.
Thanks for your comment. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay.

First of all, we have exterminators treat our cabins on a regular basis, and in 25 years of business, we have never ever found any bed bugs in any of our cabins, nor had any complaints ever prior to this group staying. This guest showed up with what looked like a large party, we don't know if they were a related family or some type of group, and we don't know for sure how many people they had, but they slept and strung bedding everywhere in the cabin, on every sofa, chair, etc. They reserved the cabin for Sat & Sun nights, and on Monday @ 2pm, sent us an email stating they had left the day before. We received no phone call from them during the time they were at the cabin, so there was not much we could do to address the issue until after the fact. Had they called us on Sunday, we would have come to the cabin that day and brought an experienced exterminator with us to assess the situation and ascertain at that time if there was a real issue or a one-off bug. When we received their email, we immediately contacted our exterminator and went to the cabin to inspect. All of the beds were stripped, and mattresses, springs, and frames thoroughly inspected. The result was that we did find one bug (but only one), and there was no sign of any actual bug issue or infestation. Our exterminator said it is quite possible that the one bug that was found could have been carried into the cabin by hitchhiking in or on luggage from a previous recent guest after having stayed somewhere else, or even from someone in this guest's large group. He explained that this is the most common means of bugs getting distributed from one location to another. Nevertheless, we went ahead and had the entire cabin treated anyway.
When we arrived at the cabin on Monday afternoon, the cabin was in a total disarray, and we found that their group had stolen all of our bath towels, hand towels, and wash clothes except for a single bath towel,. We have our cleaning personnel make a written inventory of the quantity of all towels and wash clothes every time the cabins are cleaned following guests checking out. So we know the towels were there when their group arrived. Normally, we would make some type of refund to compensate for any inconvenience experienced by any of our guests, but given that all of our towels had been stolen, we did not make any refund and decided to just forget about the towels being taken. We would definitely not rent to this group again.
We had a fun weekend loved that it’s only 3 cabins in the area so have lots of privacy and no noise from neighbors. Only down fall was when rain came in we wish the wifi would of worked so we could of done a movie night. Was ok with no wifi but it was advertised as having wifi and could only pick up one bar even when weather was good so TV was just useless had it not advertised having a working TV we would of brought more card or board games if bad weather came in but we had just planed if had to stay in could do movie time I would visit again over all 4 star out of 5

If a potential guest clicks on ""View all amenities" there is additional description that states "TV is for watching movies from DVD player". We have added some further wording there and at the bottom of the cabin description to make it more clear that there is no TV signal/service.
Very peaceful and quiet place. Whoever loves nature, this is an ideal place for it. See you again for sure.

Farmhouse
Very Large old farm house with enough beds to accommodate a large group. Bathroom arrangement is funky though and lack privacy. Down stairs toilet is in a closet of one bedroom and the shower is in a back 4 season room. Upstairs the bath is tucked around a corner but has no door to close it off. Worked fine with just two of us but some who like a little more privacy might find it lacking.
The detailed directions are ok if you are arriving in the daylight. This is for anyone that will experience what we did. Once you turn onto 3600 you will turn left to get to the cabins about a 1/2 mile once you get in lost creek. Its the first left you can take.
I didn't know there was a washer and dryer there so that was an awesome bonus!
