Wonderful!

I’ve stayed in numerous vacation rentals over many years and this experience ranked with the best of them. I don’t know what better you could ask for as far as location goes. An unobstructed ocean and pond view, easy walking distance to the beach access and into town, a peaceful and safe area. From the front lawn, we saw a seal swimming in the ocean, there were beautiful birds out by the pond, and we also saw a red fox, rabbits, and a groundhog! I thought that the house itself was charming and maybe dated, yes, but in the best way that makes you feel comfortable. It was extremely clean and very well cared for inside and out and Leslie was a perfect host. We all loved it and made some happy memories. Thank you!

Amazing!

I highly recommend this property! We had a group of people who all live in or around NYC and wanted to get away for Memorial Day Weekend. We got very lucky that this property was available. It's in a great location and has gorgeous views 360 degrees around the house. Our group really enjoys the picnic/barbecuing type of vibe and this house is perfect for it. It has a great yard in the back overlooking the pond where you can set up any sort of lawn games. The last day was raining so we went to the Ocean Mist bar which was about a 10 minute walk. They play live music and a very fun environment for anyone to be at. The owner was also very enjoyable to work with. She was very accommodating and helpful with any questions you have prior to the weekend.

Very clean and warm home in amazing location!

My family rented this home for a long weekend and we have no complaints at all. Leslie was friendly and easy to communicate with and the house has wonderful character and warm energy. It is very clean and well stocked with everything you need. The views and the location were beautiful despite some rainy days. The neighbors we saw were friendly and the beach is a short walk. The whole rental process was easy. I would definitely recommend this rental.

RELAXING OCEANFRONT GETAWAY

We enjoyed our stay at this oceanfront home in Matunuck Point. The ocean is across the street and the serene pond is in the back of the house. The owners were wonderful to work with and responded to any questions within hours. An easy 1 minute walk to the quiet private beach. This house is clean and is fully equipped with linens and kitchen items. All you need to bring is your clothes and your food. Short distance to restaurants and the Block Island Ferry.

Fabulous!!!!!

The house was everything and more than we had hoped it would be!!! The location couldn't have been better!!! we were in walking or biking distance to everywhere we wanted to go! The beach is just a few steps away, and was absolutely FABULOUS! The Ocean Mist has great food and we ate there often! The owners were very helpful and made sure our stay was terrific! I would recommend this property in a heart beat!!!! The home was as comfortable as well as beautiful!!! We are definitely planning a return trip!!! :)

Matunuck Point

This was only a mini vacation for us but we couldnt have chosen a better location as the view of the ocean in the front yard and Miller Pond in the back was surround-water. The amenities were perfect and the house was nice and clean, although dated but charming nonetheless. The owners were very helpful and friendly and we would recommend them and this house to our friends. The local restaurants were not that plentiful nor that close but the Matunuck Oyster Bar was well worth the wait. Overall, a very nice place to spend a week or more .

Family Getaway

Our family enjoyed a long weekend vacation at this wonderful home. We were extremely pleased. It was everything we were hoping for and more. There is so much to say when it comes to the location. Just pull up a chair and enjoy the spectacular oceanviews in the front yard and the peaceful pond in the backyard . The home has plenty of room for the family and is stocked with everything you need. This is the perfect place for a relaxing family vacation. I am sure our family will be returning next summer. Thank you Barbara and Leslie!

The Place to Relax

The house location is amazing! The homeowners provide everything you could possibly need for a stay at the beach. The house was spotless. We walked the beach every morning. Newport and the Block Island ferry are an easy drive. No one wanted to leave! This is the palce to enjoy a relaxing getaway!

Relaxing and Peaceful

Our family enjoyed our stay in Matunuck Beach in this great beach house! We enjoyed morning walks down the beautify stretch of beach. The beautiful ocean views and relaxing sounds of the waves in the front yard, and the peaceful salt pond in the back made this a wonderful, restful vacation before the hustle and bustle of our daughter's wedding . The house was bigger than the photos show and very well equipped and stocked. Need a pizza cutter? They have one, as well as wine glasses, a vase, plenty of cutlery, dishes and picnic ware, nice linens - anything you possibly need. Everything was nice and clean on our arrival. There are plenty of hangers and closet space in each room, enough so my daughter's dress had it's own closet. Don't miss the grilled oysters at the Matunuck Oyster bar - you can get there on the salt pond or by driving around. We road our bikes to the pizza shop, grocery store, ice cream stand and church in Matunuck. It's close to a lot. The owners were very nice to work with and to share their beautiful home with us. We look forward to another stay!

A Little Piece Of Heaven

My favorite experience was listening to the crash of the ocean waves right in front of the house. Great beachcombing, bird watching and relaxation, as well. It was even exciting to be in the thick of the coastal fog! So convenient for jaunts to Newport, Watch Hill, Wickford, topped off with a day trip to Block Island. This is my second time here and will not be the last! MAY 2011

More than a House, truely a HOME

House vs Home....This is sooo much more than I had expected my first time with my husband late December. I greatfully returned two weeks ago, alone... This home is comfortable, well kept, full of pride, peacefull, and most of all I feel safe. I can only imagine the home full of people, warm sunny mornings and cool nights. Being a Matunuck Renter for over 17 years, this is by far a hidden treasure. The family is wonderfull and helpfull. Every moment I spent there will always be fondly remembered with the sea in the front yard, and the beautufull pond in the back. Thank You again Leslie and Family for sharing your home with me.

Perfect beach house

We were very pleased with the beach house. The pictures shown on line were accurate; but they did not do justice to the warm and inviting character of the beach house. The house was clean and very well maintained, and it had all the accessories you would want in your home. The house itself was in a perfect location. You could look out the front windows and see the ocean. Looking out the back windows you had a beautiful view of the peaceful salt pond. The beautiful sandy beach was only a couple of 100 feet from the front door. The owners went out of their way to be accommodating and answered all of my silly questions. The places we went to eat were Estia (a very good Greek restaurant) and Spain. In closing, I was sad to leave the house, but I take away many wonderful memories shared with my daughter and her little ones. Hopefully, next year we can build on these blessed memories

Cozy House on the Ocean

We were so pleasantly surprised when we drove up to this home. It fronted the ocean and past the green backyard was a salt pond. There was easy parking, and a very cozy, warm home with plenty of space. The views from each room were beautiful, the beach was a short walk away, the beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. We enjoyed our stay there and look forward to going back in the Spring. The owners were very pleasant and very nice to deal with. We had a great time!!
