Perfect place to stay. Cabin is so cute, plenty of room and was clean. Owner very responsive to messages. We will be back, perfect spot to access river activities and hikes.
Perfect cozy getaway for a woodsy wedding weekend! Definitely not ideal for anyone over 6ft as the ceilings and stairwells are pretty short. Nevertheless, the cabin was comfy, clean, and overall the perfect spot for our crew!

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, location
The host was responsive and accommodating when asked for firewood (unfortunately the county was under a burn ban so we didn’t get to have a fire). However, the nearby homes looked run down, the drive in was narrow and the parking is tight and limited. The home itself is cute. We did notice minor stains on the white sheets and parts of the home the ceiling is low due to design; therefore, it is not tall people friendly. It wasn’t a horrible stay. If the nearby properties were cleaned up the area may of been more appealing. There isn’t any privacy, though and the patio faces the highway. One perk is the Dollar General is closely nearby followed next to a restaurant and liquor store if needed.
We came down to hike and float the Buffalo River area. Gorgeous area and it was a very nice time! Added bonus was looking up the history of the former theme park close to the cabin! Everything was exactly how it was pictured or listed.
Our family of 6 stayed here for the weekend while visiting family. It’s a great location in between Harrison and Jasper with stores and restaurants within 15 to 20 minutes from the Chalet. There is also a Dollar General and a Hi Boy Daisy Queen that serves great food less than 5 minutes away. The property is nice with a good view also. We would definitely stay again!
House was in good shape. Stairs at steep not made for 4 guys over 65 but would be great for a young couple with kids. Drive is steep too but we managed 5 motorcycles in 2spots.
Very nicely restored cabin/chalet. Out in the mountains but only minutes to town or the river. The kids loved it. My son read on the balcony each morning if we weren't fishing.
Everything was lovely. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Neighborhood is very quiet but not secluded by any means. Roads were very torn up and you could easily bottom out a small car, but still, we very much enjoyed our stay. It was in a great location to swimming holes and town. And owner was very friendly and responsive.
Overalll it was a pleasant stay. A few of the utensils were unusable but an easy fix. The road and parking are not ideal. There was a restaurant, gas station, and a dollar general two miles away. But it's a 25 min drive to Ponca where most of sight seeing is located.
Adorable place, lots of room, pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a must see/stay! Absolutely loved the balconies. Overall great stay!
We felt the cleaning fee was a bit high due to finding hairs on/in bedding and all the tidying up rules upon leaving. But again overall this is an amazing place!
I will mention the loop road to get in and out of the chalet area is a disaster (not any fault of property owners at all) Just a warning I have a small Acura and scrapped the bottom of my car several times, had I known in advance we probably would have brought a different vehicle.
We thought the chalet itself was awesome! Very clean, very well taken care of, and perfect size for our small group! The neighborhood is terrible. Every morning and evening we could smell weed from inside the chalet. Not sure who it was and on what side, but we could smell the weed coming from a neighbor. The road/loop is awful as well.
We did like how close the property was to Pruitt landing!

We are glad you enjoyed the Chalet! We put a lot of time and effort into restoring it. The road is awful, we agree! We have worked with the county to get it repaired, and haven't had any response. The neighbors are planning to help get it taken care of, and we will be starting the repairs in the off season. As far as the smell of pot, we have never had anyone complain or mention it before. We feel it could have been other people renting near our Chalet. However, we do apologize for that. We would not enjoy sitting outside and smelling it either.
Clean, fully stocked, comfortable. We had everything we needed for a great stay.
From the beginning of the online rental process through the actual time spent it was effortless. This VRBO was fully stocked with everything we needed. Very roomy and comfortable. The host were extremely easy to wok with. Decorated very cute, easy access. Would recommend this VRBO.
Property was easy to get to. Very clean and well stocked. My four year old thought we were staying in a tree house. We thought we would hate the long drive into Branson but it was not long at all. We enjoyed it very much.
Beautiful place! Very close to everything we wanted to do. We floated the Buffalo, horse back riding, Branson and found a place to swim and hang out. Craig was very helpful and answered any questions I had. We called him a few times while there. I would rent from him again. The houses were a little closer then expected but the neighborhood was very quite. I give Craig and this place a 10 and would visit again.
