This getaway was exactly what we had hoped for. It had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend stay. The view is spectacular and we hope to visit again later this year.
Great place to stay if you are visiting the Buffalo River area. Easy access to launch points along the river and trails throughout the region. Host wer great to work with and responsive when we had questions. Property was clean and comfortable. 100% would stay here again if vacationing in the area.
Beautiful, calm and serene. The perfect place to come back to after a days hike at the Buffalo National River. Clean. Well stocked. Comfy beds. Could not have asked for a more relaxed setting!
A perfect couple nights in the Jasper area. Great hikes during the day followed by great meals at local restaurants in the afternoon. An evening cocktail enjoyed while taking in the beautiful views from the deck….and then living room when it got cool. Life is good at the Little Cabin in the Woods.

The cabin has a great view. Very clean and well stocked. The host was easy to reach if we had questions about the cabin... Would definitely stay there again!!
The little Cabin was perfect for the extended weekend trip with some old friends. Location is great for going out to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch and Kyle's landing during the day. The downstairs addition gave us the perfect number of beds as well.Pam had great communication with us leading up to the stay and even checked in afterward, which was appreciated.I would recommend and would stay again!

Thank you for your nice review. We too think the view is amazing and the location handy to area trails and waterfalls. We, the owners, personally designed the cabin layout to be comfortable and open, yet have a cozy cabin feel with plenty of privacy when desired. We look forward to hosting you again in the future. Thanks again for choosing Little Cabin in the Woods! Anita & Rod, Pam & Bob

About the host
Hosted by Bob and Pam Hankins
Little Cabin in the Woods is the result of two couples dreaming of the ideal get-away. Rod and Anita, both educators, and Bob and Pam, a lawyer and an educator, are long-time friends who dreamed of owning a cabin as a home-away-from-home. Now retired, we enjoy traveling, grandchildren, the St. Louis Cardinals, corgis, and spending extended periods of time at the cabin. In 2022, Bob and Pam took complete ownership of the cabin. As we look ahead to the future, we see many more years of sharing our dream place with other like-minded folks who love the Buffalo River Area and all its amenities
Why they chose this property
Little Cabin in the Woods was not purchased---it was designed and built by the owners! With the assistance of a Mennonite father-son team, the cabin took form over two years of persistence and hard work. Our 'fingerprints' are all over the cabin. We painted and hung the cabinets, laid the hickory hardwood floor, made and hung the curtains, and decorated. Little Cabin in the Woods is a labor of love for us. It provides a get-away and a place of solitude that is unmatched in one of the most beautiful best-kept secrets in the US----Newton County, Arkansas.
What makes this property unique
We created the ambiances you will enjoy! The cathedral-like windows that stream the outdoors in, the wrap-around deck, the jacuzzi tub, the handcrafted cedar bedstead, the photos, the stain-glass window in the front door are among the unique features of the cabin. Little Cabin in the Woods is remote enough to give you the feeling of solitude yet close enough to Jasper to allow you to run into the grocery story to pick up that forgotten item.
