We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this small cabin. The owner pays attention to every detail to make a clean and comfortable stay. It has the feel of a magical hobbit hole with dainty windows and cozy furniture. All necessities were provided.
Our family absolutely loved our stay. Hosts are amazing and went above and beyond if we ever needed anything. 10 mins from town, 20 or 30 mins away from great hiking and daily adventures. Fish galore, my kids wouldnt stop fishing! We would love to come back one day.
The cabin was cozy, cute and everything we needed. We saw waterfalls, hiked,Delaware mine, good food. Thimbleberry margaritas in Calumet and just plain relaxing. We didn't take advantage of the lake but it was nice to look at.
The Hosts live next door and they're very welcoming. The cabin is on the lakefront. 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. There is a boat available that you can use for gas money. They even gave us bait. Very nice for two couples and our dogs.
Beautiful cabin. It was very clean and comfortable. The owners were amazing! We will definitely stay there againagain!Everything we could possibly need was there.
Everything about our stay was wonderful! We loved getting to know Kierstin and Tom - they were so friendly, informational, and helpful with tons of tips around the area. The surrounding area is stunning and relaxing. Sitting on the dock in the early morning and watching the sunset in the evening!! The home is sweet and cozy. Highly recommend!! Should we ever return to the Keweenaw Peninsula, we would absolutely stay here again. 10/10!
Cabin was delightful. It was super clean, outfitted with absolutely everything needed for our stay. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen. Slept soundly in the comfy bed. Kiersten was a good friendly neighbor but not nosy or “too close.” We had use of a motor boat, kayaks & fishing gear. She & husband, Tom have updated the rustic log cabin into something very special. Decorated cozy & “Up North.” She went so far as to offer us another nights’ lodging when our plans for the next stay evaporated… Gratitude! Brava! Thank you!!
This place was amazing and the host are great people and let us know what to do around town and even let us know about some good spots to see definitely recommend it we will be back!
We had a wonderful weekend filled with beautiful hiking, relaxing atmosphere on the lake, and delicious food. We also met Tom who gave us excellent local recommendations of places to visit. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality!
Cabin is super clean, cute decor and very thoughtful in regards to what it has for guests to use. Felt very comfortable staying there. Owners are friendly and helpful if needed.

Thanks so much! Happy you enjoyed your stay at the cabin!
We enjoyed this cozy cabin on Portage Lake near Calumet. It was nice to have access to a boat for fishing and kayaks which we took advantage of. Good leaping off point to explore the rest of the Keweenaw Peninsula.

Kierstin and Tom have done a fantastic job remodeling this small cabin on their property on the lake. Great location, peaceful surroundings, and amazing hosts- what else can you ask for? Highly recommended!
We had a great stay! Amazing mornings & sunsets on the dock & lake view.
Close to Houghton for campus tour/visiting Tech. Beautiful day trip to Copper Harbor. Taking the kayaks out was easy & fun. Great bird watching & rock hunting nearby. Clean & Cozy. Recommend & will stay again!

What makes this property unique
We accept dogs. Plenty of room. Just ask they do biz on the road side, not the water/grassy side as it kills grass and always picked up after. Always keep them leashed or tethered as other dogs are in the area. Trees available for runners. Don't use cabin as a kennel and leave pets unattended for long periods of time.
