Winter Carnival Weekend

The cabin was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for! The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything you need to be comfortable and the view is amazing. Also, bonus heated floors throughout!!

We loved the cottage…bed was very comfy and view was wonderful. Bathroom was huge. It was one of the most-relaxing get-aways that we’ve had in a while and the cottage owner was easy to contact with questions. There is some construction as you pull into the drive (I thought we were in the wrong place). It’s good that the cottage windows are NOT on the backside; so once you are in, you don’t see the construction—only the lovely view of the water and buildings in Houghton. We would stay again.

Beautiful home and property

Everything about this place was perfect! It was cozy and relaxing and so close to MTU campus. The view from the deck was breathtaking, and we were able to see the torchlight parade and fireworks at the end of Winter Carnival. We would absolutely stay here again!

Copper country cruising

My family of 5 stayed in this beautiful home. We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio and amazing evening sunsets. The location is perfect for day trips to see all the area has to offer. We will undoubtedly return to this magical property.

Family vacation

House was lovely and view was beautiful. Spent many hours just enjoying the outdoor deck-playing bags, having smores in the firepit, just drinking tea outside in the morning.

Wonderful Experience

We had an amazing time at the property. Sandy, the owner, was extremely nice, attentive and communicative. Our entire group had fun enjoying the lake, dock, outside fire pits and scenery. The house is new and very well done and appointed well. We are already making plans to try to go back for another stay.

Property is as advertised. Awesome for a week stay. The house was a little hard to find the first time because you cannot see it from the road, but being secluded was a great benefit. The house had everthing we needed. Overall a great rental.

Wonderful Stay

Spent a lovely week here. I was a bit nervous about deciding on this property for our family vacation because it was still under construction when I made the booking but the host was very communicative and kept me informed along the way. She thought of everything in this graciously appointed home and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. This is a great spot as to start exploring the Keeweenaw Penisula.

Beautiful home. Beautiful scenery. Nice smart TV and surround system. Got a great night’s sleep on 1 of the two very comfortable king sized beds. Will be back for sure!

This place is wonderful! Bed is comfy, living room is comfortable, both rooms have a great view of the lake. Kitchen has all the appliances you'll need. The owner is wonderfully responsive to your questions and needs. A+++ place to stay. Beautiful place, beautiful view... Hope to stay again soon!

Quiet, Zen-Like and Positive Energy.

Just came home plan to rebook for next year. Fantastic experience. The house is located on the most spectacular peninsula jutting out into Portage Lake. The accommodations are well designed and tastefully decorated. This is a special place.

Perfect long weekend!

Our family was in town for a fall wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The custom home was very unique and homey, accommodations were perfect and the views were from a dream. Woke up one morning to fog that burned off the water by 10am. We will definitely be back!

A picture perfect Thanksgiving

This beautiful lakefront home was the setting for a Thanksgiving to remember. Our son lives in Houghton and we wanted a place that would feel like home away from home for the holiday. I especially wanted a kitchen in which I would enjoy cooking Thanksgiving dinner - it was perfect! Everything I needed, from cookware, to mixers to utensils was right there! To top it off, even the dishes for serving were lovely! The rest of the house was full of nice touches including lovely linens, towels and plush blankets. And the view is postcard worthy!!! The house itself is beautifully designed and crafted with high-end finishes in every room. In addition to everything else, the owner, Sandy, was extremely prompt and helpful whenever I had a question. Needless to say, we all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and would love to return to this home in the future!
