Welcome to Sheltering Oaks, a peaceful 3BR/3BA retreat nestled beneath ancient live oaks and sabal palms on Bald Head Island. Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac at the end of a private driveway, this home offers privacy, comfort, and the perfect setting for a relaxing island escape.
Just a short walk to the beach (under ¼ mile) and the Maritime Market (about ⅓ mile), you’ll enjoy both convenience and serenity.

Thoughtfully Designed for Families & Friends
The open floor plan creates an inviting space to gather after a day in the sun.
Two spacious downstairs bedrooms, each with a private full bath.
Private upstairs suite with full bath — ideal for kids or guests who want their own space (with a door at the top of the stairs for added privacy).

Rocking chairs on the welcoming front porch
A screened-in back porch with dining table and rockers — perfect for morning coffee or evening dinners while listening to the distant roar of the ocean
Weber grill for easy outdoor meals

The Magic of Bald Head Island
Accessible only by passenger ferry and free of cars, Bald Head Island is a rare coastal treasure. Spend your days on pristine beaches, climb the historic Old Baldy Lighthouse, bike beneath maritime forest canopies, or enjoy waterfront dining overlooking the marina. Once you visit, you’ll want to return again and again.

**There is an external security camera on the premises, however it is turned off while guest are staying.

Also please note that there are wild animals on the island. It is not uncommon to see deer, turtles, frogs, toads, coyotes, snakes, and even alligators. Please be respectful of the wildlife and be sure to keep your trash in the designated locked trash receptacles!

Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Plug in golf carts.
Flip trash sign at end of driveway to YES.
Put keys in lock box and scramble numbers.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Renter's payment constitutes agreement to abide by and be bound by the terms and conditions of the attached Vacation Rental Agreement.
Only licensed drivers may operate golf carts. Seat belts must be worn. Golf carts must be kept plugged in and charging when not in use.
Drivers License required to book. Host must approve your dog and are not allowed on furniture.
