We stayed at this house again because it’s a fabulous location to ski at bromley and Stratton but the house is fabulous…warm and confortable and the kitchen is fabulous!!
Wonderful space and overall property. Lots of room for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the oversized fireplace and open kitchen area. Bedrooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Very glad we had four wheel drive vehicles to access remote location. Did some light hiking on the property. Great stay!
Third year and counting! We love this house. Wonderful chefs kitchen, epic fireplace, room for the whole family. Another great year. Thank you Kevin and Jill.
We have rented homes near slopes for years. This home was wonderful- isolated, off a long driveway, gorgeous woods around. The weather was an issue- heavy snow first day, frigid and strong winds the next two with ski slopes closed - the game room with table tennis saved us, as well as the great room- excellent stash of firewood and lots of room for board games. The kitchen was very well-stocked. Great experience.
Great house for a family vacation. We had seven adults & had more than enough room. Lots of space to spread out or be together. Great location, easy access to Manchester, great hiking, & some nearby ponds to swim in.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house. We enjoyed skiing nearby and relaxing in the beautiful kitchen and areas of this house. The game room was fantastic as was the amenities in all of the rooms very nice layout! And superb hosts
2nd visit to this property. Highlights are large well equipped kitchen, living room area with large fire place, large basement with ping pong and other entertainment. Excellent communication with Owner/property manager.
We really appreciated this house with its nice layout and amenities. We were 9 people, teens and up, and there was plenty of room for everyone to find a quiet space or spend time together. The game room in the basement was really fun, especially since we had some rainy days. We also enjoyed the fire pit on the dry days, and the starry night skies. The house is very private but many things are close by. Be sure to check out Dutton's Farm Stand! We enjoyed cooking in the large, well-appointed kitchen. We found plenty of things to do in the area: hiking, shopping, sightseeing. Bring your swimsuit for water holes in area streams! The hosts were extremely responsive. The only improvements we would suggest are more silverware and more small plates and another dining room chair or two.
Our family of 4 plus 3 adult family members had a wonderful stay here. We had more than enough space to spread out when someone needed to do a little work or we needed time to relax. The kitchen is well-equipped and I loved all of the workspace the island provided. The game tables in the basement were a hit during our downtime. We had 2 clear nights that were perfect for star gazing, and we really appreciated being away from light pollution to see the Milky Way and shooting stars! The only potential downside for some visitors is the length/grade of the gravel driveway. While AWD is absolutely necessary in the winter, I would say it's helpful year-round in the event of heavy rain. Kevin was great to work with via phone and text!
Delightful stay in a house great for a large group
This is a great house for a large group, with a well equipped kitchen and a wonderful three season porch. The basement play room and was fun for kids of all ages.
The home was beautiful and everything that the listing said, we were very familiar with the area since my parents had owned a home about 3 miles away.
It was a fabulous trip down memory lane for me and my three adult children with their children.
As an added bonus we found Emerald Lake just a bit north of Manchester and is was a beautiful place for the little ones to go into the water, my 5 grandchildren were there and the oldest was 4 so being at a lake was number one on our priority list.
If we do the same type of vacation next year this home would be our pick.
We absolutely loved this place. Plenty of room for all 8 of us to be in one room together, or to spread out for individual space too. We loved the great room, the screened-in porch, and the kitchen had everything well-stocked. The property is nicely tucked away in the woods and you cannot see any other houses nearby. We loved the seclusion and yet the property had plenty of room for our dog to stretch her legs. The road up to the property is gravel & fairly steep- we had no issues since it was July, but I would absolutely want an AWD vehicle if I rented here in the winter.
Manchester, Stratton and Bromley are all pretty close by for any shopping, dining or activities you want! It did rain quite a bit but we had plenty to do indoors- we built a few fires in the fireplace and the house became very cozy. The WiFi connection was great- some in our party worked remotely from here a few days with no issues. We had a terrific time overall and would love to rent here again! Kevin was very kind, answered all of our questions and even gave us recommendations on nearby things to do. Thank you, Kevin!
We had a great time in this cozy , spacious house.
It is equipped with everything you may need. We enjoyed our morning breakfast with a charming mountain view, beautiful evenings by the fireplace and a sauna adventure as well.
We had a great time skiing in Stratton - beautiful weather most of the time and it was not crowded on Thursday and Friday.
It was very easy to communicate with Kevin. He was very attentive and he responded right away.
Beautiful mountain home close to all - skiing, shopping, dining. The house is aces - amazing chef's kitchen, gorgeous fireplace, two suites, plenty of room for play and for relaxation. It snowed almost every day - the property was so peaceful. 4WD vehicle recommended for winter visits - the driveway is no joke to drive, but awesome for sledding. Fabulous property matched by the attentiveness and kindess of the hosts. We will definitely be back!
Tremendous week. Plenty spacious but cozy. Amazing living room with large fireplace . Kitchen and dining room allowed for informal family gathering and plenty of chefs! Basement provides a whole different kind of fun. Well located but plenty of privacy. We’ll be back!
Our group of 8 adults and 3 kids stayed at this property for a long weekend. The house is very spacious, the fireplace was nice and cozy, and the kitchen was huge and great for cooking. The location was close to Stratton, Bromley and downtown Manchester, as well as some lovely farms and hiking trails. The only thing that put a damper on our stay was the cleanliness of the house (which is a reflection of the cleaners, not the owner). Kevin was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and understanding, and even had the cleaner come back the day after we checked in. Unfortunately there just seemed to be a discrepancy in what the cleaners considered to be “clean”, which was stressful, particularly during Covid. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and that beautiful little corner of Vermont.
We had a wonderful time. Kevin was immediately responsive and helpful. The house was comfortable and spacious for a group of 10. The kitchen is great, large and well equipped . The three season porch was delightful for our summer stay. The basement was a fun play space for kids. We were happy that there were no mosquitoes. And the wifi was excellent, more reliable than in our apartment in New York.
House was warm & inviting with plenty of room for our party of 12. Clean, spacious, 8 min to Bromley🎿 & 15 to a Manchester 🍽🍻.
Kids loved the game room & board games & books were a nice touch.
Our only suggestion would be to have a large TV in the basement.
Thank you!
