Incredible views from all sides of the house. Very well equipped kitchen with quality appliances. Very clean. Fenced in deck worked well for our dog. Helpful host with quick responses. We would love to stay here again. Enjoyed every moment in the home!

Great place, lovely views

Good property, lovely views, amazing beach access. Well equipped kitchen and lots of things to walk and drive to. Penn cove brewery is great as is double bluff dog park.

Great trip

We had a wonderful relaxing, quiet, and cozy trip. The house was perfect, great views, well stocked with essentials and games/puzzles. Check in/out was easy, Mishele was very welcoming. Would stay here again on our next trip to Whidby Island.

Best vacation ever!

We had the best time. Everything we needed was supplied for our 10 day stay. So much to do the kids didn’t miss having a TV. Everything was perfect. I would love to return again in the future.

Wonderful family vacation

Our family of five with two pups had a great time staying at this cozy house by the water. The beach was right out back for our dogs to play and then there was plenty of hiking closeby. Mishele was a great and thoughtful host and even offered us late check-out, which we so appreciated. I look forward to returning with our paddle boards during the summer.

Cozy and Relaxing!

Had a wonderful time! The home was clean, comfortable and so welcoming. Location and views were perfect with clean windows and a great deck. Kitchen was super well stocked, making it easy to create a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. We will visit again.... Thanks for having us!

Amazing family reunion

We love staying at Home on the harbor as our home base for family reunions on Whidbey. The house is so full of light, views and has perfect spaces for cooking and entertaining. The views of the sunsets and hoot owls at night are memorable along with daily walks along the beach. Our home away from home and Mishele is the perfect host. If you like a beautifully kept home cared for with attention to detail, this is the place to rent.

A beautiful stay with kind and helpful hosts!

The house is beautiful! It was very clean, well stocked, just steps from the beach and the views were gorgeous. We enjoyed our time exploring the beach, spotting bald eagles, seals, and deer. The house is conveniently located, close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. in Freeland and just a short drive to Langley and Coupeville. Mishele, our host, was incredibly helpful, communicative, and generous. We couldn't have asked for a better home and host!

A nice quiet getaway

We had a great stay here. The views are beautiful and the house was well stocked. Mishele was very attentive and sent us a message upon arrival as well was available throughout our stay if we had any questions. The beds are very comfortable and the books and games available for use were a nice bonus. My only recommendation would be to add blinds/drapes to the main window by the dining table, the sun was strong during dinner hours and some shade there would be handy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Excellent vacation in The Home on the Harbor.

We recently spent a wonderful time in The Home on the Harbor. The house was immaculate, the neighborhood quiet, with a nice view of Holmes Harbor. It's a wonderful spot to relax, take walks along the beach, and shopping nearby which includes, but not limited to antiques, coffee cafes, and a well stocked grocery store. If you like to bird watch, there are nearby parks along the water as well as forest parks. While there we counted approximately 43 species. We look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Wonderful place

Our stay at the house was fantastic for our extended family, and Mishele was an excellent host. We had so much fun exploring everything that Whidbey has to offer. The house was clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and well-maintained. It also had all the cookware we needed to make some nice meals. The kids had a blast roasting s'mores at the fire pit one night. Having a bedroom with two bunk beds allowed the kids to have their own beds while still sharing a room, which was ideal (and not always easy to find). We would stay here again.

Lovely Property in the middle of Whidbey

My family and I stayed here for our kids spring break this year. We were impressed with how clean and tidy the property was, especially considering that pets were allowed. Our mini dachshund felt right at home, and she’s probably the pickiest of us all! Having the water so close was a blast for the kids, and the location was extremely convenient with the grocery store a 3 minute drive away, Langley 15 minutes away, and the ferry something like 20 minutes south. It’s also quite close to wineries and the state parks on the island. All in all a great find that we would love coming back to.

Restful Stay

Mishele is a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with, thoughtful and responds right away. The view and location to the beach can’t be beat. The place is spotless and the kitchen is well stocked which we appreciated. We felt like we were at home, not a rental. The beds and pillows were so comfy. My husband usually complains about these two things wherever we stay but not this time. We loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Sidney

Absolutely delightful getaway

My husband and I stayed at this property with our 2 year old daughter and my mother for a few days this summer and absolutely loved the house. It is ideally located by Freland, walking distance to shops and restaurants and also a short drive to Double Bluff beach and Langley if you want to wander further. The property was in great condition and the owners very graciously welcomed us with a personal note and some local berries. The bedrooms are all very comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals we had planned. The short walk down to the beach is incredibly valuable with a young kid because we were able to play with her down there without driving out to another location. We would definitely stay here again.

The Perfect Beachside Cabin

A Home on the Harbor was the perfect place for a little family get-a-way. The house was beautifully furnished and the beds were very cozy. We loved that there were no TVs in the house which allowed us to truly connect as a family without screens. Our "Kids" (ages 20 & 21) loved all the board games and stayed up late playing battleship. We loved sitting on the back deck and walking down to the beach. Mishelle was an excellent host who was very flexible and communicated regularly with us. We would definitely book this house again!

Northwest Paradise

Our grandchildren and daughters were scheming to plan a return visit to Whidbey by day 3. The clam digging, hiking, shopping, seal-spotting, campfires, sunsets and fresh air were a welcome respite from our Florida home. And the whale-watching trip was spectacular! This home had everything one could possibly need in terms of linens, beds, supplies, and most of all COMFORT. Thanks to Mishele who watched over us from afar by email and who has created a true cozy and classy home for guests!😍🐾

PERFECT in everyway. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of renting this most perfect VRBO for my son and his little family for 3 nights. The home comes very equipped for young children safety gates,portable crib etc. Very well thoughout. House was very clean and also very welcoming. Stocked with all necessary supplies. They look forward to another stay there in the future. Walk right to the beach and also new playground park. Location,location. This place has it all. A real gem of a place. Calm and Cozy

We stayed here last weekend with another couple. We stayed here once before and absolutely loved it. There's plenty of room for two families. Highlights for us were the beautiful view of the bay, the wood stove, and the well-stocked kitchen. Both couples commented that we wish our kitchens at home were as well-equipped. The house is well-maintained. The bedrooms are nicely decorated and the beds are comfy. There is also a lot to do in the area. Greenbank Farm, Spoiled Dog Winery, the Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum in Oak Harbor. One of the most interesting places we visited was the Price Sculpture Forest in Coupeville. Be sure to scan the QR codes at the beginning for the augmented reality art. We were all blown away by it. We all give A Home on the Harbor two thumbs up!

A Home On The Harbor is A Home Away From Home

We recently spent time at A Home On The Harbor. What a Lovely Place! The Home is very bright and beautiful with lots of windows and natural light. Views of the Harbor are gorgeous! We enjoyed a spectacular fireworks display from the comfort of the front deck. The layout of the home is big enough that your family can spread out. There are several doors for access from the top or bottom level, and the beach is only steps away. The Home on A Harbor is decorated with a breezy beach vibe and has plenty of board games available for family time. The beds are extremely comfortable with soft sheets and lots of blankets, and the bathrooms are spacious with luxurious towels. My favorite part of the Home is the Kitchen….it is equipped with everything you could ever need to make your family anything from snacks to a full Thanksgiving dinner. The views from the kitchen are just as beautiful as they are from the living room. Mishele is very accommodating and easy to reach if you have any questions. She has provided a binder filled with information about the island, along with recommendations of sites to visit and places to eat. I would highly recommend A Home on The Harbor…..one of the nicest places I’ve ever visited.

Great Weekend Getaway

Our family of 4 and yellow lab stayed here a few weeks ago for the murder mystery weekend in Langley. It is conveniently located in Freeland which is just about a 10-15 minute drive to Langley. It is spacious, well kept, and very comfortable. There is a bedroom on the main floor with a bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living room. We loved the wood burning stove in the living room! Downstairs has 2 other bedrooms, bathroom, and another living room area. Our teen girls loved the privacy they had on the lower level. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and some spices. Mishele is an amazing host. I had mentioned we were coming up during my birthday weekend and she had left a lovely bottle of wine for us at check-in to celebrate. She also offered us a late check out on Sunday since it was slow season and she did not need to turn over the house quickly since there was not another renter that day. We had a great time here during the winter but can imagine how much fun it must be in the summer hanging out on the deck and by the outdoor fire pit. We definitely will be coming back here. Thank you Mishele for making my birthday weekend truly memorable!!
