Had the best stay. Appreciated the quick and thorough communication, and even accommodating last minute requests. Our 3 year old loved the stay, and told us she wants to go back. Very quiet neighborhood, with great views. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

This was our second year at this property for the 4th of July weekend and we’re ready to keep this tradition going with our kids and grandkids from Utah. We love the deck with a view for our meals and sitting around the fire pit in the evening. The house is clean, well equipped, hassle free check in and check out, and good communication with the hosts. The location is great to a number of beaches, Robison Beach our favorite, and to stores, and coffee shops. We enjoyed the Freeland 3rd of July festival this year.

Wonderful stay

We stayed three weeks at this lovely home. The house is very new, comfortable and well appointed. The views of the water and mountains are exceptional and the location is ideal for getting around the island. The owners were quick to communicate and ready to help in anyway although no issues arose during our stay. We highly recommend this VRBO.

New Year getaway

We loved hunkering down for a quiet New Years celebration with games, movies, playing pool and foosball. It was relaxing watching the Puget Sound, clouds and rain. The house was well equipped for us and made for a relaxing getaway!

Amazing place

We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed in the house. It was clean and decorated so nicely. The deck was a great place to relax, bbq, hang out by the fire pit, and watch the activity on the water and enjoy the Olympic mountains. What an amazing view! There was also a family of deer that came to visit every day. I highly recommend this place.

Fun Girls Weekend

We had a great trip! The house is so cute, so nicely decorated, and in a great location. What a view! It was a great spot for the four of us, two moms and two daughters. Very easy to explore the beach, and it's a good home base for exploring the rest of the island. Loved the "fire." Very cozy! Seems like a great place for a summer visit too, with the nice deck. We should visit again!

About the host

Hosted by Peri Malters

Host profile image
Hi, I'm Peri! I live in Kirkland, WA with my husband, Josh. We fell in love with Whidbey Island a few years ago and jumped on the opportunity to buy a piece of land with incredible views and a short walk to the beach. Fast forward 2 years, we have built a dream island home overlooking Mutiny Bay! We are excited for others to experience the charm and beauty of Whidbey.

Why they chose this property

What sold us on building a house at this location was the view and its close proximity to the beach. Mutiny Bay is one of the few sandy beaches on the island and offers some of the best barefoot beach walks, shore fishing, and shell spotting. And our house is only an 8 minute walk away!

What makes this property unique

Our house is perfectly situated with breathtaking views of both water and mountains. Enjoy unforgettable sunsets from its expansive west-facing deck and spot the resident orcas passing through Mutiny Bay.
Downstairs is a bonus game room, complete with a pool table, foosball, and a piano for music enthusiasts. Whether you're competing in a friendly game or relaxing with a melody, this space is sure to entertain everyone.
