Madame, Je suis bien désolée de votre déception, d'autant plus que vous êtes une exception parmi les hôtes accueillis depuis 20 ans. La personne qui tient la maison depuis 6 ans a toute ma confiance: tout son sens de l'accueil va dans l'ordre et la propreté (que vous reconnaissez, merci pour elle). Elle a de plus bouleversé son emploi du temps pour vous accueillir à l'heure du déjeuner et non en fin d'après-midi comme prévu au contrat. L'accueil des hôtes se passe toujours très bien, pourvu qu'elle ne ressente pas un manque de considération. Son flair ne l'a pas trompée. Le désordre que vous avez laissé en témoigne : poubelles en tas sur la terrasse, vaisselle non lavée, non rangée, etc. Si vous avez trouvé le mobilier (antiquités, de famille) vieux et moche, pourquoi êtes-vous venue chez nous ?? Vous aviez les photos, vous pouviez décider de louer ailleurs. Je suis très sensible à la qualité des serviettes ; vous en avez reçu le nombre annoncé, un drap de bain et un drap de piscine/personne. Toute la literie de la maison a moins de 10 ans (très attentive à sa qualité, je consulte régulièrement ma famille là-dessus). Comme toute maison, celle-ci a une odeur, qu'on ne sent qu'en arrivant, mais pas de moisi : elle est très saine. Certaines personnes ont parfois de telles exigences (cf. votre demande qu'on vous réserve un taxi) qu'il est d'emblée impossible de les satisfaire. Un hôtel vous aurait rendu le service attendu. Et encore, pas au tarif que vous avez déboursé.

A big thank you, dear Tim, for your appreciation. We are happy to share our family home, which has experienced many happy events that the walls remember: they give off good vibes to all who come. I am truly sorry that I could not arrange an early check-in for you before 5 PM. Generally speaking, we have to set a late hour to have time to clean the house after a departure in the morning of the same day. But a morning arrival can be organized upon reservation, if booked a day in advance. And if the house has not been occupied in the days leading up to your stay, we can manage an arrival early in the afternoon or in the morning if guests request it with a bit of advance notice. You experienced bad luck because the housekeeper was notified too late to change her schedule and greet you earlier. However, I will ensure greater flexibility by providing a key box.
