Boulder Back Cottage is a newly renovated cottage located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Main Street, Lake Placid. The main floor boasts 2 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath, a modern, fully equipped chef's kitchen, and a comfortable living room with a propane fireplace. The downstairs area features a family room with a TV, a sleeping area, a full bathroom, and a laundry room. Guests are welcome to use the private beach on Mirror Lake, just a short walk from the cottage. Bring your own canoe, kayak, or paddleboard and enjoy all that Mirror Lake has to offer (closed to guests each day from 4-7 pm). Fully fenced in back yard and patio with Weber grill, propane fire pit and outdoor dining table. Off street parking for 2 cars. 2025 STR-0399

The beautiful renovation of this property maximizes the space making it a perfect fit for our family of six. We actually felt like we could have had two more people join us but the property rules state max of six. Thank you for allowing our family to make some great memories. The access to the beach was a great bonus.

Lovely home, great back patio w nice location.

This is our third time renting this home, yes we are reserved for next year as well. The home is well appointed with a n open floor plan and very clean. Beds are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked. The patio is nice. The grill works great and evenings with the gas fire pit are wonderful. This was the first time we brought our two labs. We appreciated the fenced yard and the pups loved swimming each morning in Mirror Lake. Carrie was very responsive and helpful.

Boulderback Cottage Stay

We were a family of 5 staying at Boulderback for several nights. The house was clean and well equipped. The weather wasn’t great for our stay, but our kids enjoyed the beach area and it was a very convenient walk to the house. Also enjoyed by the kids was the finished basement with DVDs and plenty of room for hide and seek on our rainy days. The location was great- very central to everything really. For the price and what we received- we would absolutely come back. Carrie was great to work with and very prompt with any correspondence.

This is by far the best place we have stayed in Lake Placid. The easy walk to town, beach access, and fenced in back yard made it idea for our family and our pup, Blue. We will be back!

Fantastic property with a central location

My family and I really enjoyed staying at the Boulder Back cottage. It was clean, quiet and had all the comforts of home. The central location was perfect for exploring all the highlights of the Adirondacks. The private beach was an added bonus. Carrie was a wonderful host and even answered her phone late one evening to assist us with the stove. I would highly recommend this rental and would enjoy staying here again.

Great Cottage and Perfect Base Camp for ADK and Lake Placid

Casual, comfortable , clean and quiet in a super location with lake access: Walk into town, bring or rent paddle boards and bikes, or take a short scenic drive to unlimited ADK hiking. Cozy kitchen and living room include all the amenities to hang out and relax if the weather, tired legs, or a good book keep you from venturing out. We’ll be back!
