This house is very large and well stocked for your vacation stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious. There is plenty of room for multiple families to gather together to socialize or find a peaceful place to enjoy the views of the lake. It is an older home that is being updated so it has a quirky charm. The location is wonderful, allowing you to walk around Mirror Lake or into the town for shopping and dinner. Our family would definitely stay at the house again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is great, short walk to downtown. Firepit was nice and the house is a good size with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that on 2nd floor and another spot to sleep on the 3rd floor. The host was was very nice calling / texting a couple times before and during our stay. The house was somewhat under construction with the first floor bathroom not yet finished when we stayed. It had room air conditioners, not central AC, but it was cool when we stayed. Overall good experience.

First and foremost, John and Ashley, our hosts, are wonderful people. They are so passionate about their property and provided a great experience. I had a couple of calls with John where you can definitely tell that he loves the property and the Lake Placid. My friend arrived in Lake Placid earlier than the check-in time and Ashley was able to check him in a little early which was great for him. Ashley was in contact through our 3 night stay and shipped a couple of shirts that my friend left behind. There is no question that John and Ashley are hosts that you want to work with.The property is historic and quite large. It took us a couple of walk throughs to get acquainted with the layout. While the interior was spacious, we felt quite cozy inside. My friend took pictures and when he showed the pics to his wife, she started to look at flights so that she can stay. That says alot! The interior reflects what you want when you visit Lake Placid. A place with an interior which reflects over 100 years of history. Partial view of Mirror Lake, enough to see swimmers and paddle boarders, with the cloud filled mountains behind it. It was raining most of the time when we were there and we did not get to make use of the yard with fire pit. We did use the new Weber gas grill. The stairs are winders, so you need to pay attention to where you step. The bedrooms are large and the comforters are great!We already decided that we will come back to this property next year, if available.
