Olivia's Guesthouse is the place for you! It still retains the original charm and beauty in which it was built, and has been in your host family for 80 years. We offer the perfect launching place for experiencing all that Historic Fredericksburg has to offer. Come home to a relaxing atmosphere after a day of wine touring or premier shopping. Sit in the back yard and listen to music from Hondo's after eating at one of the many restaurants located out our back door. If you want to enjoy an upscale bar atmosphere followed great dining, then skip over to Crossroads.

Olivia’s is an early 1900’s frame house built by Herman Lewis (a builder from New York) and is located just one block north of Main Street and only a couple of blocks from Marktplatz. It is elegant yet comfortable and offers many wonderful amenities. In 1912 it sold for the first time for $1,395 and then sold again in 1922 for $4,000. Times have changed.

This spacious home has four bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed decorated in Victorian style, the second bedroom has two doubles offering a floral eclectic and the third bedroom has a queen bed decorated in English Country. The fourth bedroom offers a twin size bed with a Tempurpedic mattress. Two baths are available—one has a shower and the other has an antique clawfoot tub. 🛁
Olivia’s offers a full size washing machine and dryer.

The living room offers a sofa and loveseat facing each other and the cable 42” television. A full kitchen is both beautiful and efficient. A table for four sits in the middle of the room, which is perfect for groups because we all know everyone gathers in the kitchen to visit. Notice the stained glass in the door—it is original to the house. Isn’t it lovely?

Outside makes Olivia’s even more special. The long front porch has seating to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the walkers and cars as they pass by. The back yard has a covered bar and lounge area with a flat screen 19” television. 📺 Ample seating for all and a great place to enjoy your friends and family. Also out back is a patio with table and chairs located between the house and the covered bar 🍷 and lounge.

Great location...walk to all the shops and restaurants. Fun back yard we enjoyed the fire pit and out door bar. Cozy rustic old charm to give you the feel of stepping back in time. The beds were very comfy.

Fredericksburg Lovely Olivia’s House

My stay was amazing all though the house is 100 years old it was absolutely gorgeous. Jennifer was a gem to deal with and they provide amazing coffee and ice and really anything you need! Jennifer is probably one of the best hosts I have ever had the pleasure to work with and I’m a travel nurse and will be going back in September a long with recommending this place to all that stay their. The decor was outstanding to compliment the town. The ambiance was delightful and the location couldn’t of gotten any better! Thanks again Jennifer & Olivia’s house for making my stay so pleasant! Great location but a few notes

This house and the history of it is very unique. The location is perfect for nighttime activity as it’s a block from Main Street. The patio is adorable but does back up to the bank parking lot, so not as private as the pictures would allude to. The home is a century old and so are the pipes, leaving a strong sewer smell from rye front bathroom. Running the water did help it a little but we mostly needed to keep that door closed to prevent it from seeping into the rest of the house. The owner was very sweet and responsive. The beds were very comfortable. Be prepared for a bit of clutter but it adds to the ambiance of the history of the home.

We enjoyed our stay at Olivia's. The location is fantastic. Walking distance from Main St, where the music serenades while enjoying a glass of wine in the outdoor space in the evening. We had plenty of room and the property manager left Starbuck's, half n half, a bag of ice, and a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. There were four ladies out for a girl's birthday weekend. Just perfect! Great memories. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect girls trip

We have stayed here two years in a row and the house and owner are equally AMAZING. The location is perfect in easy walking distance to both restaurants and shopping. The house is historic with a story you can read about the house when you're there. Beautiful house with awesome antique furniture to match the house. One block off of main street is amazing. Parking is hell on Main Street Fredericksburg, so being able to leave the car at the house and access all of Main Street is definitely a plus. The outside covered area behind the the house is so cool, we spent most of our time at the house out back. Love it. Love it. Love it.
