Just a short 3-mile drive from the vibrant heart of town and the historic campuses of VMI and W&L University, this privately owned haven offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience.

Step into our lovingly restored 1930s farmhouse, boasting 1800 square feet of comfortable living space, plus a versatile semi-finished basement. Imagine mornings sipping coffee on the expansive wraparound porch, soaking in the breathtaking, unobstructed views of both the majestic Allegheny and Blue Ridge mountains.

Whether you're seeking a peaceful escape or an adventure-filled getaway, Michie Shire is your ideal base. With so much to explore both locally and in the surrounding area, you can do as little or as much as your heart desires. We're confident you'll create lasting memories here! If your beloved canine companions are joining you, please let us know. We happily welcome up to two small to medium-sized dogs, with a nominal cleaning fee to ensure everyone's comfort.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Lexington, stop looking because this house is all you need. Perfectly furnished and comfortable in every way! Excellent location and lovely views of the area with sunsets galore! Owners are gracious and accommodating, couldn’t ask for anything more!!

Lovely House

This is a lovely house, very well supplied and in a beautiful rural setting. It’s a great location for Lexington and all the Natural Bridge attractions. The owner was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. We hope to go back!

Beautiful property a short drive from downtown. Very well equipped (so much coffee!), spacious, and comfortable. Lots of space indoors and out. Host was very responsive and helpful. Had a great time!

Very quiet, comfprtable farm house located in the beautiful area of Lexington, VA. We loved the fact that we could watch the sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains and gaze at the stars at night. We all enjoyed our stay!

Amazing weekend away

We had a fabulous stay - loved the views from the porch with our morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. The fire table was also a big hit - we spent most of our time hanging out around it. The kitchen had everything we needed. The entire house was super comfortable. We didn’t want to leave!
