Formerly an art colony, Elephant Cottage was built more than 75 years ago and has recently been remodeled while preserving the natural charm and wood features.

I believe 'Living with Purpose' is essential for enjoying life. I fell in love with this little cottage, the beautiful setting and abundance of nature. Life is too short and must enjoy every minute, be active members of thriving communites.

Why they chose this property

I was seeking an authentic home in nature and wildlife, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Yet, close enough to enjoy the wonderful leisure and outdoor activities and food experiences that Woodstock and Bearsville has to offer. This house has a great energy and spirit along with its rich history of being an artist retreat in the 1930s, I have had such fun sprucing it up and protecting many of the original features of the house.

What makes this property unique

The large living window, the light and calmness, surrounded by trees and nature. Original pine floors and magnificent blue stone chimney, make it an authentic, charming experience.
