About this property

Two-story home located just minutes from River Street and all the Historic District has to offer. Three bedrooms (plus a double sleeper sofa in downstairs sunroom), 2 1/2 baths, two porches, plus a private courtyard which includes on-site SECURITY PARKING. Living room, dining room, kitchen with all new appliances and granite countertops. Table service for up to 6 people.

Upper level porch perfect for lounging after a long day.
Master bedroom has queen size Four poster rice bed with stair steps, walk in closet, and original fireplace. Second bedroom is private suite with queen size bed and attached bathroom. Third bedroom has twin trundle bed (sleeps 2 when pulled out) , large closet, and leads to upper porch. Both bathrooms have tub/shower combinations and one boasts an Oyster shell chandelier. Additional powder room on first floor.

Dining room seats 6-8 people.

House is freshly painted and decorated with newer furniture and accented with antiques and local art. There are 2 smart TVs and WiFi is provided.

Property is located just blocks from City Market, Colonial Park Cemetery, Pirates House, River Street, Owens Thomas House, Broughton St, and so much more. You can ALMOST see Leopolds Ice Cream from the upper porch! Less than a block to Greene Square (location of Savannah’s tiniest house and the Second African Baptist Church). Cha Bella and the Pirates House restaurants are across the street!

A list of Savannah’s finest restaurants can be found on-site. The Grey, The Olde Pink House, HUSK, B Matthews, to name a few. Tourist basket on living room floor is full of brochures and additional local information.

Southern Savannah Charm!

Great historic house in Savannah.

Perfect house for a visit to Savana. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and Debbie was great at making sure we were organized for easy check-in and explanation of how to use the house, locks, TV, secure parking area. It was everything we wanted in an easy walk to everything we wanted to go to in Savannah

The place to stay in Savannah

This house has so much charm and is located so close to many attractions. We walked just about everywhere. You will not find a better host than Debbie. She sincerely cares about everyone staying in her house. If you are planning a trip to Savannah this is the place to stay.

Fun cozy stay

The owner is very helpful at every turn and the house is great, my daughter loved it. Great spot to walk tons of places, plenty of space, and really appreciated the secure parking. The note the stairs are steep is true. If you have knee issues/stair issues (like my mom) it might not be the best choice. And if you need complete silence to sleep, maybe bring ear plugs. It is what it is as an older house and you can hear some street noise at night. Overall great home, great location, great stay.

Green Grey house has all the comforts of home including a garage door!

3 generations of family enjoyed this very comfortable home with its large dining table with room for us all. We ate together, played games, worked on computers, did art projects and browsed thru the amazing book collection. There’s plenty of hot water for showers, a 2nd floor deck for morning coffee with a pile of umbrellas by the front door. The decor is fabulous! Cha-Bella, one of the best restaurants in town is a local favorite and right across the street! We’ll be coming back for sure.

Stay too short!

The only issue with this trip is that we did not book enough days! Beautiful, comfortable home located in a very convenient walkable location. We spent most of our day walking, eating and admiring the neighborhood homes and Christmas decorations. In the evenings we all sat cozy in the dinning room/sunroom combination and fell into our comfy beds at night! An absolute wonderful experience contacting the host, Debbie. Top notch communication. Till next year!

Excellent Vacation Stay

This is the best property we have ever found on VRBO. Beautiful home; warm and comfortable. Top notch amenities. Able to walk to all the restaurants, bars, and shops downtown and along the river. Will definitely book this property again if we re-visit Savannah in the future.

Girls Trip in Savannah

We had a great time, Debbie (host) was very welcoming, friendly and informative, the house was so charming, clean and very comfortable. Mom & Sisters Vaca

We loved our stay! The owner was very helpful, and always made herself available if or when we needed suggestions on different attractions to see or where to dine out. We loved her house, with two different porches (one screened in) to choose from to unwind from a full day. A huge bonus for us was this house has it's own secure parking. We always felt safe, a walk away from amazing shops and restaurants. Spacious bedrooms, a great kitchen table to sit around, a beautiful living room, and a great space off the dining area to also use and enjoy time together. Check in was smooth as well as instructions for checking out. We loved our time in Savannah and staying at this property completed a perfect stay.

Wonderful place to stay

Lovely House in Savannah with Great Host!

We really enjoyed our stay at Debbie's charming house in Savannah. The house was very clean and comfortable. We did not have a car, so we walked almost everywhere and took a few Ubers when we were tired. There is a nice parking spot if you do have a car. The screened in upstairs porch was great to sit outside in the evenings. Debbie was great with communication, making sure we had everything we needed, and going above and beyond to help us find some good spots with reservations. Can't wait to go back!

Not the cleanest property

Sinks in bathrooms did not work. No shower safety bars. Utensils and glassware were dirty, floors were dirty. There were cockroaches, giant one’s throughout the first floor. However, the parking was off street and secure overall not worth the price charge.

Great Place for a Small Group of Friends

I have a small group of friends from High School (4 of us) who decided 5 years ago to get together once a year for a long weekend in a different US city each year. For 2024 we picked Savannah, Georgia so last fall I began searching on VRBO for a place that would fit our needs. Things we look for... - A separate room for each of us - At least 2 full bathrooms - A full kitchen - Clean and comfortable - An outdoor area where we can sit and have coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening - Walking distance to some good places to eat This place turned out to be perfect! Not only was it walking distance to some nice restaurants, it was in the Historic District of Savannah. When we arrived, we by chance met the owner personally and she gave us a tour of the house and share with us several great places to shop and eat. When she says in her contract if you have any questions at all, please call me, she means it! Truely a delightful person who cares about her property and that the folks who stay there have a great time. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Nice stay

My husband & I have been to Savannah several times but we had friends that had never been. We all thought the house was in a great location, close enough to walk the river and all the great shops and restaurants. We had a car to drive as needed but most of the time it stayed in the secured parking spot. The house was clean and had all the necessities. Debbie did a great job communicating. Even though she struggled with some technical difficulties on her side, she managed to get us all the information we needed in a timely manner.

Absolutely charming.

Before we got there, Debbie reached and to clarify everything which was comforting. The house was just lovely and you could feel the history throughout. The location was perfect. We could walk to most places we wanted to go. A bonus for this property is the “garage”. There is a secure parking space on the property. It was so nice to park and not have to worry about feeding a meter or moving it for street sweepers. I would highly recommend this home and I look forward to staying there the next time I visit Savannah.

Why they chose this property

The Green Grey House is large enough to accommodate our family group, but intimate enough to make us feel at home from the moment we walk in the centuries old property. We love this house.
Private courtyard, beautiful moldings, and Parking! We loved celebrating this houses’s 200th birthday in 2021!

What makes this property unique

Parking in Historic SAVANNAH is scarce. The house boasts a secure parking courtyard complete with garage door opener for added security if returning home late at night.
You can walk everywhere in the Historic District.
If traveling with an infant or small child, the property comes with a baby gate, pac n play, and high chair.
