About this property

Orlando's Hideaway a quiet & comfortable 1887 home adjacent to heritage district

Orlando's is situated on a quiet one way street, a three minute walk from Stratford's beautiful parkland & river. Built in 1879 the house has been faithfully renovated back to it's original historic beauty and charm. With original wood floors, hardware and trim-the modern amenities include a well equipped new kitchen. Upstairs is the spacious bedroom with a queen sized bed and three piece bathroom ensuite.
There is a front porch-ideal for watching the theatre goers as they meander these beautiful neighbourhood streets on their way to the Festival Theatre, and just off the kitchen is the back deck, secluded and ideal for late evening cocktail or simply enjoying our garden. This home is an extension of our award winning B&B, The Old Rectory just around the corner.
Up to three couples traveling together could rent both apartments-(Rosalind's Retreat & Orlando's Hideaway) as they are adjacent or at The (OldRectoryStratford) B&B (9 Couples)

We both share a passion for good wholesome food. Kevin has worked previously for 15 years at some of the U.K.'s and Irelands finest 'Relais & Chateaux' Country Inns and Hotels in their restaurants before moving to Stratford from Ireland in 1993. Kim is a native of Stratford and has traveled extensively on a private yacht catering to crew and invited guests. Both of us now enjoy life together in the great community of Stratford with our son among family and friends. Together we hope to nourish your body and soul.

Why they chose this property

We love this home, have known the previous owner and as such it's been a home from home for us. Our son in the '00's spent many days as a toddler roaming this house and gardens, and we are happy to have been able to renovate this home with a view to keeping its 'feel' being one that you constantly want to return to. We know you'll love it (and the neighbourhood) as much as we do.
