NEWLY RENOVATED! Super cozy 1 bedroom, 1 bath, ski-in/ski-out condo with brand new finished deck! Magnificent view of Ballhooter lift and mountains from balcony. Recently remodeled and decorated tastefully. Very clean and cozy. Comfortably sleeps 4 people. Queen-sized bed in bedroom.
Modern kitchen with new oak cabinets. Refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Full size stove and oven. This unit has a 12-cup drip coffee pot and Keurig for the coffee lovers in your group. Cozy living room with a fold-out couch. Flat screen TV. Dining for four. Coin-operated laundry facilities are located down the hall by the elevators.

ABOUT THE AREA - Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia is the premier ski resort in the Mid-Atlantic region with a whopping elevation of 4,848 feet. Typically, Snowshoe receives an average of 180 inches of natural snowfall each year. Snowshoe features 57 trails within 3 different ski areas: The Basin, The Western Territory and Silver Creek with 100% snowmaking capabilities in each area. The Western Territory boasts expert only terrain with a 1,500 foot vertical drop and the longest trail on the mountain, 1.5 miles. Silver Creek is popular for its night skiing, terrain park features and the Coca-Cola tubing park. A free shuttle service is provided to get you from one area to another. If you are not a skier or rider, there are still plenty of wintertime activities for the whole family. Snowshoe Mountain offers RZR and Snowmobile tours, as well as Snow-Cat tours where you can learn more about the art of grooming. Plus, there are a variety of shops and restaurants in the village and around the mountain. If you are looking for some relaxation and pampering, you may want to visit the Spa at Snowshoe. In the summertime, Snowshoe continues its vibrancy with festivals, such as Blues, Brews and BBQ, Fire on the Mountain Chili Cook-Off, The Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) off-road ATV and motorcycle racing series, FreeFall Festival and other various wine and jazz events. If you are one for lots of activity, Snowshoe offers rugged Segway tours, hiking, downhill mountain biking (you can even put your bike on the lift and get a ride to the top), kayaking, canoeing, fishing at Shavers Lake and golf at the Raven Golf Course. Motorcyclists flock to the mountain to enjoy all of the curvy mountainous and scenic roads in the area. If you are looking to hop aboard a historic steam train, Cass Railroad is the place to go. The station is just 10 miles away. For a longer day trip, head to Seneca Rocks for some amazing rock climbing and cliff views. Perfect location especially with little kids! The room was as pictured! Owner was very prompt with responding to reservation. Everything we needed! The kitchen could use better lighting but overall a great place to stay

The property had a very odd odor when we arrived. We opened a window and that helped. There was only one small bar of soap and no dish soap. We brought many items from home so we were set. The location is great and the bed is comfortable. We would stay there again.

Peaceful place with no cell service.

The bed and sofa were comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with all that we needed to cook. Everything was all good. Smaller tv's than we are used to and no complementary coffee. You will need to bring coffee or buy it at the check in desk, as well as creamer/sugar. The view was of the resort yard and the ski lift. We had a good time and there was wi-fi.

We got charged an extra 50 cleaning fee a few weeks after our stay. It didn’t make sense as there were already 200 in fees paid. We left the place per instructions given. A little disappointed.

Good Experience

Overall, we had a nice stay. You can’t beat the location and I loved the arcade. There were a few things missed by the cleaners, but nothing that we couldn’t clean ourself or worth complaining about. The room was hot (stayed in March). We opened the windows and it was fine after that. We never could figure out how to use the thermostat so we just turned it off and it was fine with the window open (this could be user error). The fire alarm kept going off one night while we were there for a few hours. The lady at the front said it was an electrical issue and it couldn’t be fixed (not sure why it couldn’t be fixed). The owner was very good at communicating with us. The space itself was spacious and had a full kitchen. The check in process was excellent and loved the fact that we had parking! Overall I would give our stay a 4.5. Only reason why it wouldn’t be a 5 is due to the minor cleaning issues missed (by the cleaning crew) and the fire alarm issue. We would def stay there again.

Location, location, location!

This unit had a great view of the Ballhooter lift! Unfortunately, we didn't know the balconies were being renovated so that was sad. However the unit was clean, had everything we needed and was central to the Snowshoe village. The only downside to this unit would be space. There wasn't really any space to put our luggage. We really enjoyed our stay though, thank you!

Very nice condo, exactly as pictured. Close to exit/ stairs so easy to get to top of Ballhooter lift. Bed was comfortable and our 14 year old did not complain about the pullout bed at all!

Problems

Couldn’t get the right key, took almost an hour to get in the room, then nothing like pictures. We actually left 10 minutes after checking in and went to another hotel on the mountain.

Wonderful stay for 2 -3 people!

Our time in lodge 228 was well spent! It was great being so close to the ballhooter lift. The only thing I disliked was hitting my head on the fan due to being 6’5” LOL! Overall great stay, would love to come back.
