You can revel in the beautiful space or use it as a great launching pad to explore all that Antigua has to offer. A perfect mix of being close and convenient to town, but also in a quiet and peaceful setting. It is well appointed for an indulgent stay where family and friends can share special memory making moments.
The house is designed by a leading Guatemalan architect which is a true showcase with incredible attention to detail. The Mexican tile and hardwood floors flow throughout the home, with creative ceiling artisan work. A gourmet kitchen features all Viking appliances with cozy adjacent family room, elegant dining room, handsome study, super comfortable media room and spacious living room opening out to the gorgeous garden. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 ½ bathrooms, 5 fireplaces and a variety of gathering areas and personal space. It is beautifully decorated with antique and hand-crafted furniture to make you feel right at home.
Professionally landscaped gardens are supremely maintained with an epic pool, cascading fountain and hot tub complete with stunning volcano views. Outdoor living space is extensive with two additional eating areas, grilling space and open air living room centered around a stoic stone chimney. There are lots of entertainment options including a ping pong table, full gym and sauna all geared up for family fun.
Maid and gardener are also on location during the week to make sure that your stay is relaxing and enjoyable.

The house is beautiful and located five blocks from the central park, a prime and safe location. My daughters loved the pool and jacuzzi, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook even elaborate dishes.

Luxurious hacienda

This property is magnificent. Gated community - very safe. Home has beautiful pool and hot tub. You can soak in the hot tub beneath the volcano. The presence of full time maid and gardener was an unexpected bonus - SUPER nice to have laundry and dishes support! Location is prime. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. WiFi is good. Owner fantastic and responsive. Lastly - the furniture in the home is amazing - every single piece. I’m not even a furniture guy and and I was blown away how elegant everything was

Family Vacation

Property was beautiful, even better than pictured. Ellen was very easy to work with and very responsive. We traveled with a large family with ages 8 to 71 and it was perfect. Close walk to the central park. Driving is also easy as long as you can find parking.

Spectacular Property in every way!

This house was perfectly maintained and very beautiful! There were many places to relax with comfortable furniture, both indoors and outdoors. Waking up each morning to a perfect view of a volcano was a treat! The location could not be better. We were within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, historical sites, etc. The house was located within a gated community with security guards at the entrance. The host was extremely communicative and helpful. Our group had a wonderful time and would all highly recommend staying at this spectacular home.

Beautiful home in the heart of Antigua

We had a wonderful stay! It is such a beautiful property in a gorgeous setting. We attended a wedding and stayed with a large group of friends. Some of us had our children. Even with a large group, there was room (and bathrooms) for everyone! The outdoor space is equally as lovely. The home is in a safe gated neighborhood, but walking distance to the town. We were surprised how close coffee shops, restaurants, and the market all were! Would highly recommend!!

Well worth the price of admission.

Instant rapport with the home owner and property manager. Our 2-week vacation was magnificent because the house had all the amenities. I know all members of my family want to come back to Antigua and stay at Ellen's beautiful home. The staff members (Tere and Ricardo) made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. They made themselves available whenever needed. I have nothing but praise for the entire duration of our unforgettable adventure.

In February my husband and I, along with 3 other couples rented this property for almost a week. It was everything we wanted. The house was elegant, with huge sliding doors that opened into the garden. The kitchen and seating areas were perfect for hanging out together. We really loved the outdoor dining room and fireplace! Ellen the owner, was really helpful when we arrived. Very nice and easy to work with overall. The beds and linens were high quality, and the kitchen has loads of dishes and cooking tools. Also, there are two water filters that are very handy. The pool and hottub are even prettier than the photos. The location of the house is fantastic as it is on a very quiet, gated street, but you can walk anywhere in Antigua. This house was a great find for us. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Truly Amazing, Has To Be the Best House in Antigua

When we drove thru the gates, all of us just said WOW. This house is a true oasis in a gated area off of the best street in Antigua. The pool, sauna, hot tub, view, caretakers, host...it's all amazing. You have a view of one of the inactive volcanoes from the kitchen. They have Netflix and other US TV which was nice after a long day of sightseeing. Ellen, the owner, met us there and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. and she set it up so that the housekeeper, Teresa, made us a great breakfast. She was so helpful leading up to the visit as well. She definitely goes the extra mile and wants your stay to be perfect. Each room is spotless and very tastefully furnished. There's an organic farm, just a short walk down the road, that was amazing. Yoga is also just down the street the other way. Everything is right there. You really can't go wrong with this property. We absolutely loved it and it really made our vacation so much more memorable.

Oasis of calm in beautiful Antigua

Photos do not do this unbelievable property justice. Nestled in the heart of historic Antigua, this home is the perfect location to explore everything the city has to offer. Safety is clearly a top priority, and the friendly guards at the gate got to know us quickly and made access simple. The neighborhood is tranquil, with beautifully maintained gardens. The house itself is almost indescribable. A masterpiece of Central American style infused with old-world influence that flows beautifully and offers plenty of unique spaces to relax. Our family particularly enjoyed the great room with its soaring ceiling, the cozy media “nook”, and the outdoor lounge where we spent many nights in front of a crackling fire. I’ll miss having my morning coffee on the patio while staring in wonder at the volcanoes, listening to the joyful sounds of our children playing in the pool and the bedroom loft, and relaxing under the stars in the hot tub after a long day of adventures. Ellen could not be a more accommodating host, and Tere the housekeeper made our stay more comfortable than we could have ever imagined. There are a few special vacations that anchor families for years to come, and I say without hesitation that this home is one of the reasons our visit to Antigua will be that vacation for our family. If this home is available, do yourself a favor and book it!!

Luxurious and lovely home- best vacation rental ever!

This house is a dream! The neighborhood is gated with 24 hour guards so it feels really safe, and is surrounded by a plant nursery and a coffee farm so it also feels secluded even though its really right in town. Perfectly located on the same street as Central Park and the big arch, just about 5 blocks down, it’s super easy to stroll into town for a coffee in the morning or dinner at night. The Panza Verde restaurant at the end of the street became our favorite for its proximity, though we discovered many other wonderful places on Ellen’s expert advice. Terri was an excellent housekeeper who really made our stay feel like vacation and kept the place absolutely spotless. Ellen was an amazing hostess with great local info that made a big difference in our experience. The house is far nicer than we expected, really luxurious and HUGE! The beds and linens were great. Decor was top notch and tasteful. The pool and jacuzzi were a real bonus, but we loved the outdoor living space and the large yard even more. The views of the volcano were the highlight of our mornings when the weather always seems to be postcard perfect in Antigua. The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s definitely the nicest vacation home we’ve ever stayed in. What a pleasant surprise. Our kids loved the big TV room at night and the board games brought us all together for some much needed family time as well. A large family or two smaller families can stay here comfortably for sure. We hope to return with more friends next year for a longer stay with more time to enjoy this lovely home.

ONE OF A KIND VIEW AND EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME!

We stayed at this property for nearly 2 months and all i can say is it will be in the thoughts and hearts of my family for many many years to come. During our stay we woke up to some of the most amazing National Geographic-esque views of volcanoes right from the back yard of this property. Aside from the property itself being nestled into an very exclusive neighborhood with 24/7 security....it is located in Antigua which is one of the most beautiful and charming historic old world cities in Guatemala. The beautiful cobble stone paved city itself is incredibly convenient and accessible just by putting your shoes on and walking within 5-10 mins. To list just to charming bistros, shops, spanish schools, beautiful parks and historic buildings as well as many tour guide companies that can schedule anything from ATV tours of the Antigua and surrounding areas for a few hours to flying to Tikal or climbing an active volcano for a nice little weekend jaunt to experience many things that few places in the world outside of Guatemala can offer. Our son's (and their dad-- aka me 😂 ) enjoyed going to spanish school at San Jose Esquela de Espanol every day during this time that is only a few blocks walk from this property that we loved going to every day. The host of this property Ellen was 2nd to none and was instantaneously responsive to any communications we had. The staff that they employ year round were as nice and accomodating as can be and definitely left more than one of our family members misty eyed when it came time to say goodbye. They worked very hard to keep everything beautiful inside and outside the home and made us feel truly like it was an effortless vacation. If there was a rating higher than 5 I would give it as this was simply one of those experiences our family will cherish in our memories always. A HUGE thanks to our host and their family for letting us experience their amazing home and hospitality this summer!

Travel back in time with charm.

Antigua, Guatemala is a city on it's own, you have to be there to feel it, and in a house like this one, you are certainly transported! I’ve been visiting Antigua for more than 30 years, this last time, was just the 2nd time using a vacation rental instead of a traditional hotel. The first time not enough research was done and the experience was ok. This time we took our time deciding and honestly, I can say we found a Gem! The property is located, in my opinion, in a great spot, close enough to walk to the central plaza but not too close, to hear the bustle of weekend nights or even the noises of the busy streets near the plaza, cars are much common than they used to be. It is indeed an Exclusive location. The house is described as elegant, I would add charming, even cozy. From the colonial style of the architecture, to the selection of materials and furnishings, and the well thought out distribution of spaces, you can tell that the effort put into the design and habitation was exceptional. You can feel that you are in Antigua, but without the noise pollution and modern contamination. This feeling is enhanced by the beautiful surrounding garden and the green views which are reminiscent of Antigua back in time... hard to top! Additionally, the house is spacious and has different room settings which provide privacy if needed, or more than enough common areas to share with those in the house. The price was great, significantly lower than what we would’ve paid for 5 rooms in a 5 star hotel. The service team, Tere and Ricardo were very nice and easy going, we felt very comfortable with them, even though we had just met them. Last but not least, Ellen the property owner/hostess went above and beyond to help, inform and make us feel right at home. Great communication, attention to detail and exemplary service is how I would describe my experience with Ellen. Thank you Ellen we all did in fact feel Homeaway, hope we can return sooner rather than later! Highly recommended!

Beautiful Home in Antigua Guatemala

We were two families traveling to Antigua for the holidays and stayed for 9 nights in this beautiful home. The check-in process was very smooth, the house is just like it is featured in the photos and the accomodations are great for large parties. We cooked, sat by the fireplace and enjoyed playing ping pong and bean bag toss in the back yard. The house is in a safe, gated community and all of Antigua is easily accessible by Uber or walking. What would have made our stay 💯 % perfect would have been if the junior master would have had black out shades and if the rooms had portable pillow-top paddings for the beds as they are firm mattresses. Otherwise, all was amazing! Will definitely consider coming back here again. Great host!
