A short birthday celebration stay, and the property was wonderful. Great communication with the owner, and we thoroughly enjoyed the time. Just a few steps from the deck to the river, and with unseasonably warm weather the fishing was exceptional.
We absolutely loved our stay. Cabin was cozy in a beautiful setting right on the river! Well stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds! We will be back! :)
This cabin is so cozy, plenty of room and just feels like you don’t need to go anywhere else if you didn’t want to or venture easily out and enjoy all the places in the area: fishing, hot springs, ice cream, trails, etc
Right on the beautiful West Fork of the Bitteroot River!
Wonderfully secluded and peaceful, super short drive from Painted Rocks State Park. Great fishing right off the deck to be had, lots of deer and wildlife around to see.
The cabin is in a great location with wildlife. Paired with sound of the river, the fire pit and the clean, spacious accommodations, you can’t go wrong with this cabin.
We had a great time, the property is exactly as it is listed. We loved having a fire in the fire pit each night. Owners also have lots of toys to use. We would go back!
Very roomy cabin! So clean! Stays nice and cool on hot days! Beautiful area. Painted lake close by if you bring a boat.
Would come back again!
Quiet area.. private spot.
Very cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect to use as a home base while attending our family reunion at a nearby campground. The view of the river was beautiful and the wildlife in the yard were always a treat to see. We would definitely return again!

Breta!
So glad you felt at home at our place! And please do come back!
With rainy and sunny days, our entire family (ranging in age from 6 months old to 87 years young!) loved sharing iur days together at this perfect retreat in the Bitterroot forest. The rushing river, the seclusion in the pines, the perfectly appointed cabin, the giant deck, fire pit, and yard gave us all the space required to enjoy each there. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We love it too!! Thank you for the kind review and we hope to host you again. :)
We had a great stay with two families for ski weekend. Clean house with all necessities. Looks like it would be amazing in summer as well. Was perfect for what we needed and good price. The listing stated that the house is 15.9 miles from Lost Trail ski area when it was actually closer to 40 miles or more. We chose this house based on location from the hill so that was a bit of a surprise but doable. Overall great house ans great stay.
This place comes as advertised: beautiful setting, very roomy, well appointed kitchen and more. My only disappointment was that we were out on the river most of the time and didn't really get to enjoy the property. The place is really beautiful! One awkward thing to mention is that you are required to take your garbage with you when you leave but where do you do you take it? I had to impose on a business owner in Darby to dump the garbage.
Pros: Super cute cabin with plenty of seating, and everything provided as advertised. Great correspondence with owner.
Cons: Mice kept leading droppings on the counter each night and they would dart across the hall and in the bathroom at one point while in use. We found a nest of them in the laundry room. There weren’t mattress pads on the beds. One bedroom had a dark stain on the mattress and one bed pillow in the same room had a lot of old stains on it. Needed a good washing or just thrown away. We didn’t see it until we were stripping the beds and had been using them all weekend. We couldn’t get internet for tv.
The location was great for a remote getaway. The drive to Darby was 20-25 mins or so.
This beautiful cabin was exactly as advertised. Better than I expected, and I’ve been to Montana several times. Would recommend this to anyone looking for off the grid escape from the daily grind. Great for hunting and fishing or just relaxing by the west fork of the Bitterroot River.
Very peaceful cabin. We enjoyed sitting by the river and being disconnected from the rest of the world.
