Our gîte is located in a property of character in the heart of the Parc de la Montagne de Reims.
Halfway between Reims and Epernay, the village of Germaine lies close to the forest and the Champagne vineyards.

We enjoyed our stay at the gite. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Well situated for discovering the small towns and champagne houses. Well equipped and spacious cottage. Clement was responsive to all questions and had good suggestions for restaurants, wineries.

beautiful and peaceful stay in the middle of Champagne

We stayed here for 3 nights just after arriving from USA. This was a perfect place to rest, as it was purely peaceful and comfortable. It is also midway between Reims and Hautvillers/Epernay, surrounded by forests and vineyards.

If you are looking for a quiet secure place in the country for a restful stay, look no further. This Gite is about 30 minutes south of Reims and it is an easy drive into the City. We stayed 5 nights here and really enjoyed it. Gas and food are not very close nearby, but if you plan ahead, it is not a problem. This Gite gives you access to small towns like Bouzy (wonderful bakery and the location of quite a few Champagne tasting rooms), Germaine and Ludes. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked in all 5 nights. Clement, the property manager, is readily available and most helpful. Very nice rental, highly recommend.

Lovely summerhouse in Champagne

This is a lovely, quiet place to stay in the Champagne region. It is situated in a quiet park 10 minute drive from Épernay. The host, Clement, is very helpful and service minded.

Quiet country location

The cottage was very comfortable for 2 couples travelling together. Plenty of room to move about both inside and outside the cottage. It was very clean and equipped. Pascale was helpful with tips on things to do and restaurants to eat as well as booking one for us. We would have no hesitation in recommending this place to stay.

Great location

Very nice cottage set in a lovely garden. Good location for visiting the towns of Reim, Epernay and Chalons, World War sites and champagne houses. Also a number of good local restaurants but avoid Bellevue unless you are very very rich. Only negative comment spend 10 euros on some decent hangers!!

Quiet place, near Reims

Nice house in a quiet area on the edge of a nature park. Reims is close by: 15 minutes by train from the station, which is within walking distance. Good facilities, but internet is limited.

Wonderful rest after a hectic stay in Paris.

The property is beautiful, and beautifully maintained. All of our rentals have featured modern, stylish bathrooms with what I am told is the Italian style showers. This bath was also stylish but it was also built so that the floor didn’t get soaked as well. Water pressure and temperature were also excellent. The garden has one of the largest maple trees I have ever seen, and I grew up in New England. Parking was fully enclosed and safe. If we ever return to France, this is a place I would want to rent for a month.

Country Bliss in a well appointed small house

This property consists of a 2BR house with beautiful garden and mature trees on a large block an easy 10km north of Épernay. Outdoor dining setting (which we didn’t use too much due to weather) and well equipped internally. Obviously a car is required. A good base for Épernay and villages as well as Reims if desired. Clement communicated frequently before our stay and was waiting there on our arrival, also helpful with suggestions.

Mooi schoon huis met prachtige tuin. Compleet ingerichte keuken. Fijne ruime badkamer. Heel rustig gelegen, maar wel station op loopafstand. Leuk om met de trein naar Reims en Epernay te gaan. Duidelijke communicatie vooraf en tijdens verblijf met Clément. Goede parkeergelegenheid. Kortom; voor herhaling vatbaar!

Die Küche war okay! Ausstattung teilweise sehr verbraucht. Im ganzen Haus hat es leider nach Essensgerüchen gerochen, so dass wir die ganze Zeit gelüftet haben. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und bemüht, diesen Umstand zu beseitigen. Die Toilette hat leider ebenfalls sehr stark gerochen, da sie auch sehr alt war. Das Sofa war sehr abgenutzt und auch ungemütlich. Ansonsten war die Unterkunft sehr malerisch gelegen und im Sommer auch sicherlich sehr schön zum draußen verweilen. Die Betten waren gut und ausreichend Platz in den Schlafzimmern. Reichlich Handtücher waren vorhanden.

Zwei erholsame Wochen in Les Haies – wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen in Cléments Gîte in Les Haies verbracht. Die ruhige Lage mitten in der Natur war genau das, was wir gesucht haben – ideal, um abzuschalten und die Champagne in aller Ruhe zu entdecken.Das Häuschen ist gemütlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Alles, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt braucht, war da. Besonders schön fanden wir den Garten und die Terrasse – wir haben viele Stunden draußen verbracht, ob beim Frühstück, Lesen oder einfach beim Genießen der Ruhe.Clément war ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber, der immer erreichbar war und sich wirklich um das Wohl seiner Gäste kümmert – vielen Dank dafür!Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die eine entspannte Auszeit in schöner Umgebung suchen.

Für Naturliebhaber (viel Wald) und Radfahrer (einsame, gut zu fahrende Straßen) hervorragend; für Städter ( z.B. Einkaufen, Restaurants, Window-Shopping) unzureichend.Wir waren die Städter!

Leuk vakantiehuis

Zeer goede ontvangst en contact met de eigenaar. De ijskast was stuk, maar de verhuurder heeft ons prima geholpen. Het zicht op de tuin en het terras zijn overheerlijk bij mooi weer. De internetverbinding daarentegen was slecht. De foto's op de website zijn ook niet zo duidelijk. Dit verblijf is zeker een aanrader.faarentegen is gewoon slecht.
