The views of the lake and sunrise were amazing. The property is very nice and its proximity to the marina made getting in the lake with our boat very easy.
We enjoyed our visit to Heeney Co. The cabin was very quaint and offered everything we needed.
He property was very well equipped and clean. We felt like we were at home. We had a positive experience renting from Eric and DenIs with VRBO. We always use VRBO when vacationing and never regret it.
Had a great time at the spot. Relatively easy access to the lake, though in winter you do need to drive to the boat ramp. Hot tube was amazing. Would definitely return
Great place away from the hassle of the tourist towns
Peaceful and good location to get to so many destinations. Do drive the through road up by Kremmling. Lower Cataract Lake hike was easy and real close to the house.
My husband and I live nearby and had family coming to visit so we rented this cabin. It had everything we could need including the views! Would recommend and stay again!
Wow, what a perfect Memorial Day weekend we had at Denis’ property. The house and the view were even better in person! We were planning on going on a hike on Saturday, but the place was so cozy and the view was so beautiful that we spent the whole day on the deck just soaking it all in. We ended every day with long soaks in the hot tub under the stars. Denis was a perfect host, so easy to work with, so attentive and kind. You truly feel the love here! We will definitely be returning. Do yourself a favor and book it!
The home was cozy and inviting. The view was just gorgeous. Plenty of everything. We took our daughter and grandson to get away for a couple days after the death of our daughter's husband. It was just what they both needed. The place spoke for itself.. plan to go back again soon.

Great house.. stocked with all sorts of kitchen spices, sauces, coffee, ect.. you might need.. the view is amazing.. 30 min outside of Silverthorne on Green Mountain Reservoir.. but totally worth the drive for the feeling of SPACE. House is gorgeous. Fireplace is grand. Owner is great to work with
Denis' property was absolutely fantastic. It's exactly what I needed over the Christmas break, to get away from all the hustle and bustle of Denver. Nestled next to a reservoir and towering mountains about 20 minutes north of Silverthorne and about 40 minutes from Breckenridge, this cabin in Heeney was in a beautiful location. The alpenglow view out the window in the evenings as the sun was setting was magnificent.
And despite its remote location, the cabin is warm and well-furnished. The kitchen had a ton of supplies to cook with, and I'm not just talking about the pots and pans. There were plenty of spices, dishes, even a mini waffle maker and coffee grinder (that I made good use of on the 0-degree mornings during my stay).
The fireplace was stocked with an ample amount of firewood, which combined with the Christmas music playing on the satellite TV made it feel like I was living in a Hallmark movie! If you're reading this, don't worry, the cabin has thermostats for every room and they all kept it cozy regardless of the fireplace. And the owner even decorated with plenty of interior and exterior Christmas lights and figurine houses before the stay, which was an excellent touch.
I had a hard time finding any negatives about my stay, but I would say that the driveway is steep, and if it snowed more than it had (around 3 inches or so the first night), it might have been tough getting up the hill if you had a 2-wheel-drive vehicle. The other minor problem was with some of the neighborhood dogs that were wandering around that took me by surprise, especially because one of them was a large mastiff-type breed. They didn't stick around long, fortunately. Lastly, I would recommend wearing shoes on the stairs; the berber carpet was a little slick coming down if you had socks on. I am really nitpicking here though; it was an excellent cabin to stay in and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Denis was the perfect host: he was communicative early when I had questions, gave me a great .PDF booklet of the cabin with all the rules and directions for the house ahead of time (there's a hardcopy in the living room too), and then he left me alone for the duration of the stay. He even provided a little surprise gift (don't worry, I'm not going to ruin the surprise, Denis; they'll have to stay to find out). I think of all the rentals I've stayed in, Denis was my favorite host.
I can't wait to plan my next trip! Thank you Denis!

Denis’s cabin is a great place to get away from it all and also a short car ride to many mountain attractions! The cabin was impeccably clean and so homey. Denis was great and we will be back soon! Thanks Denis!
My family and I could not have enjoyed our trip more! Cabin was beautiful, both inside and out. Extremely clean and well appointed with everything you need for your trip. Incredible views from the deck and crystal clear hot tub. Property manager was wonderful to work with and very attentive to detail. My family and I are already planning our next trip here. Would be beautiful in any season! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!
The property was exactly as listed, and the host was very polite and communicated everything very well ahead of time. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, including split firewood. We would like to come back in the summer to visit the lake.
Went on a hunting trip with two friends. House had plenty of room and all the amenities you could ask for. Plus they had a lot of the smaller things you forget to bring that were there available to you. Owner was easy to get in contact with. Nice place with a kick ass fireplace and hot tub!!
Great Experience all around! Denis is wonderful to work with. The cabin was spotless with hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, etc in the cabin. We used the gas grill to BBQ and it was really nice. We were even able to have my daughter’s two Labradors stay and they had fun running around the yard. Location was terrific for hiking and fishing both the Green Mountain Reservior and the Blue River. I would definitely come back!
We all very much enjoyed our time at this beautiful place. It was so welcoming right down to folded tips on the toilet paper rolls. We also felt very safe as the property has security cameras and was very clean including masks, sanitizer and plenty of cleaning supplies for any sanitation we felt we needed (which we didn't).
The hosts offered lots of games and great tv selection for rainy days. The hummingbirds are so cool. One was obsessed with hovering about a foot away from my head everytime I went outside.
The beds were comfy and sleeping with the windows open being able to see the crystal stars through the skylights while relaxing in bed was awesome.
Last but not least we loved the hot tub. Crystal clear water and very relaxing however we couldn't get the jets to turn on the last time we went to use it.
I highly recommend this host and his property! Thanks again so much!
