An elegant home in Nimes

This stylish home is perfectly located for exploring Nimes - all of the attractions are an easy walk away. Our group of 7 really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped so we were able to take advantage of the fabulous market (Les Halles), which is only a short walk away too. As others have noted the open stairs to the upper floor (which can be seen in the pictures) would not be suitable for children or anyone with mobility or balance issues.

Nîmes gem

Sophie's property was the highlight of our trip! The house was immaculate and perfect for our family. The pool was the perfect place to rest after a long day. The property was also very centrally located to everything in Nîmes. Everything was a short walk away. Sophie and her husband were also very gracious and available if we needed anything. I highly recommend this property!

Location, location, location and a really nice house

This is the 2nd and 3rd floor (to a N. American) of a building. Everything was rebuilt in 2015 and the house encircles an inner atrium on the 2nd floor, adjacent to the kitchen/dining room/living room. All of the four bedrooms are on the third floor, two with ensuite shower/sink. The third floor also has a deck with a plunge pool, which is a very nice spot to sit and a good place to dunk your feet after a long day of walking. There is a stand-alone toilet on the third floor and also on the second floor behind the living room. Because of the design, including the internal open space and the large windows on the second floor, the entire house is full of light. It could not be better located for walking around Nimes. It is literally minutes walking distance from countless restaurants, shops, etc. Parking, which is not included, is directly across the street (About E22/day) if you are going to nearby towns, which are worth the effort. The entire process was smooth and our interaction with the owner went well. There is one sacrifice of function to form that might make some visitors uneasy, although this should be obvious from the pictures. The stairs from the 2nd floor up to the bedrooms abut a wall, with no handrail and are entirely open to the floor below on the other side. We knew this going in and all of our group accepted it but if one is nervous or frail or suffers an injury just before travel, using those stairs could be daunting.

Architectural excellence in Nîmes

Sophie, the owner is incredibly helpful! She designed and created a most magnificent space for travelers to enjoy while in Nîmes. Her eye for design is amazing. The home is absolutely stunning. Sophie was always available to answer questions or to make recommendations. We were in Nîmes for a wedding and the home was the perfect location for everyone. Close to town and walking distance to restaurants, attractions and more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You will not be disappointed.

This was our first visit to Nimes and by chance had the good fortune to arrive in time for the September Féria. This was an unexpected delight. However our real delight was our very special accommodations at Sophie and Regis property. Since the three of us staying at this delightful property are in the design profession; interior design and architecture, it was of special interest. We fully enjoyed experiencing the property spatially and carefully appreciated attention to how the sunlight played off the interior walls, and essentially enjoyed “living” in the structure. We especially appreciated the furnishings, bath fixtures and loved the appliances and all the attention to “ design” . For us it was pure pleasure. Plus we were in Nimes, France. What could be better. Well yes a fine bottle of wine too. This property is truly a delightful destination.

Un grand merci à Sophie et Régis pour leur accueil chaleureux et leur gentillesse. Ces 2 semaines au mois d’août ont été merveilleuses. La maison est sublime, décorée avec goût et parfaitement située en plein cœur de Nimes à proximité des musées, des monuments et des boutiques ! Beautiful apartment - Beautiful City - Beautiful hosts

Our party of 8 have just returned from a short break staying at Sophie's apartment The apartment is stunning. Very well equipped, comfortable, sparkling clean and a perfect location in the heart of Nimes. The rooftop plunge pool was very welcome after a hot day’s sightseeing. Sophie & Regis were perfect hosts – recommending and reserving restaurants, supplying maps and information but were never intrusive. The recommended restaurants: Le Vintage. Very friendly, excellent food, very French. So good we visited three times. SKAB: Very special experience. We chose the Menu Degustation and were not disappointed. Wonderful food in a perfect setting in the walled garden. Recommended wines amazing. Why is this not a Michelin Starred restaurant? Sophie & Regis, we all thank you very much for welcoming us to your amazing apartment and look forward to visiting again. John & friends
