The apartment, VERY CENTRAL on the 4th floor of a historic building in the Ludovisi Sallustiano district; the apartment consists of: 1 double bedroom with large wardrobe, 1 bedroom with 3 beds, desk and chair; 1 living room with double sofa bed, table with chairs and television; the kitchen is fully equipped (microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine), but also an iron and ironing board!In addition to the WIFI system, a Poket Web is active for you after 20.00, so you can be sure that the Internet will always be there!Mandatory € 3.50 city tax per person per day.From Porta Pia, where the English Embassy is located, Garibaldi entered Rome for the Unification of Italy and General Cadorna (the name of the street where the house is) was the head of the expedition!On foot everything is easily accessible; from here you can easily reach every corner of the city. Very nice apartment in great location

Our host Barbara welcomed us to the apartment. She is a very kind person and very helpful. The apartment is beautiful, clean and has a lot of space. The location ist just perfect, many tourist attractions are within walking distance. The neighborhood is also quite safe. I can recommend this place very much.

This apartment is in a great location, roomy and clean, and very well equiped. Barbara is a lovely host who went to alot of trouble to organise a portable cot for my baby grandson. I would recommend this apartment if you are visiting Rome.

Great size apartment, Barbara and ger daughter were wonderful.

Clean, cozy, big. One suggestion would be to invest in AC, as it has none. Rome in the summer is brutally hot.

L'aria condizionata non l'ho messa appositamente per 2 motivi fondamentali : 1 poiché il mio appartamento essendo di costruzione antica (fine 800) ha muri molto spessi proprio per mantenere il caldo d'inverno e non fare riscaldare troppo la casa in estate; 2 molto importante per il clima ; il freddo provocato all'interno degli stabili, provoca un aumento sostanziale della temperatura esterna . Questo al pianeta fa molto molto male . Ti auguro un felice inverno a te ed al tuo simpatico papà!

Great place for a family in Rome

It's hard to find an affordable place for a family of six in Rome and Barbara's place worked very well for us! My husband can't walk much so we took Ubers to reach most of the sights, but you could walk if you can handle more walking. There is a great little bakery right outside for breakfast pastries. The apartment was very quiet and the neighborhood felt safe. Barbara was a very gracious host. She helped us arrange a taxi from the airport and allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. Thanks Barbara!

Nice Apartment in a non touristy area.

This is a nice two bedroom apartment with solid pricing. It is a decent walk to Colosseum areas and Pantheon areas. On the plus side in regards to location its slightly out of the touristy areas so not overly crowded. Nice restaurant filled with locals right next door. The shower higher waterfall shower head does not work so you have to use a hand held nozzle which was a bit of a pain. The living room/dining area is pretty small but that shows in the listing pictures. Barbara and her daughter were there to meet us when we showed up and were very nice and gave some suggestions for attractions/dining and to answer any questions. Also had some basic amenities onsite including bread, coffee and tea which was nice.

Great location

This property is not fancy, but the location for us was super. 15 min walk all from the train station; a grocery store two streets up and lovely restaurants and a cafe 2 minutes outside our door. Actually many sights are walkable. The zoo and Borghese museum are 20 minutes away and so many other main sights are only slightly more. The property has a strange layout and us adults found it dated, but my little kids loved it. Three single beds in the second bedroom allowed them to all be together and felt like a special sleepover. All in all, we slept well and had no issues.

We enjoyed our stay and found Barbara very helpful and reactive to our needs.Positives - Barbara and her ability to clean the unit quickly so we can check in!- Location is good, near good restaurants and groceryNegatives - Main Living area has uncomfortable furniture and only one tiny window. -No tray in shower to hold any soap or shampoo-Did not provide exact street address number for check in. Only provided street name, not the number which is 13. We were waiting at the wrong address till Barbara found us standing on the street.

Thanks for the advice to put a shelf in the shower. I will do it! As for the table and chairs in the dining room, they are from the early 1900s, however, perhaps I should change the chairs but it is difficult to find something that fits an antique piece of furniture, however I think I will do it and leave aside the "emotional side". It seems strange to me that when you book you are not given the house number, I will check... however, you waited perhaps 3 minutes... I hope you can come back, Rome deserves more than three days bye and I hope to see you soon

Overall we were really happy with the apartment. Some of the furniture and fittings is a little worn but it was clean, plenty of plates, cutlery etc, fridge, microwave. The apartment is fairly spacious and had room to sleep four people (possibly fifth person on the sofa).There is a lift in the building. There are 4-5 restaurants nearby which are only minutes away by foot. Termini station is about 20 minute walk. Republica station about 15 minute walk. There are also grocery stores and bakeries nearby. Communication from the host was very good.

Great apartment to stay in Rome

This place worked well for our stay in Rome. It was pretty close to the main train/bus station (15 min walk) and we were able to walk most places from here in Rome (we only took the bus 1-2x during our visit). It was nice though because it was in a quieter neighborhood, not super touristy. There were 1-2 markets within 10-15 min walk where we bought groceries. The kitchen of the apartment is quite small though, and would have been nice to have a toaster. The rooms were good size, and my 3 kids liked that they were each able to have their own bed (3 twin beds in one of the rooms). The apartment is towards the top of the building up many steps, but luckily there is also a small elevator if you need to bring luggage up/down. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend to others.

Barbara was a helpful host!

We were so thankful to have Barbara for our host. She arranged a taxi from the airport for our family of 5 and gave us some great recommendations near the apartment. I accidentally gave our taxi driver the city tax money and she made sure to remedy that for us which saved my sanity. The area is very nice—a bit outside of the busy areas of town. Right by Pizzium for great pizza, La Levain for great pastries and cappuccinos and another more upscale restaurant that Barbara offered to get us reservations to, but our time was too short. She arranged the beds so each of our three children had their own bed. We walked to the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Pantheon and all over town. We were able to walk to Termini even with our luggage. We did get a taxi to the Vatican (partly because of very early morning reservations that I didn’t want to chance missing) but that was a very easy process. I think it was about 18 euros for that taxi.

nice flat but

very nice location, quiet street, nice building. The flat has very nice bedrooms with cupboards, but to my surprised space lost in corridors and then kitchen and living room quite small. The equipement of the kitchen (pan, mug, ...etc) very limited. It is OK to warm up something but more difficult to cook. No coffee machine, no kettle for breakfast,. The table in the living room was also quite small and it was difficult to eat at 4 persons. We were missing correct chairs also. were fine, but the other two were really too small to be used with this table. we were obliged to go and take the 2 from the kids bedroom for each meal in the evening. So nice stay but flat to be used more like an hotel room than really to live in with kids or teens. the landlord was very nice and easy to exchange with.

I will treasure your advice, certainly to change the pots, even if I thought 6 pans, 6 pots of various sizes were fine; usually those who go on vacation hardly cook as if they were at home. Positive feedback . Barbara very helpful . Great location , lift, bathroom good , great water pressure , quiet Negative ….. terrible decor - too many shelves bottles old candles , old bowl of potpourri ,, pics of dogs, macaroons etc old useless furniture , chipped heavy old chairs dining table . Only 2 matching cups , cutlery and saucepans old and grubby , no kettle or toaster , heavy thick glassware … linen / bedding clean but old and worn . Oven didn’t work . Suggestions - Suggestions - get rid of clutter and unnecessary furniture . Remove old cutlery saucepans cups glasses and replace with matching sets ( ikea or similar ? Don’t have to be expensive ) remove old toiletries etc . Maybe a light table and chairs . This place would be perfect with a few changes and without the need to spend a lot of money . I hope this helps as Barbara was a good host Mary Ann O’Shannassy

Vi ringrazio del vostro apprezzamento alla mia ospitalità e vi ringrazio anche sui consigli . Vorrei anche raccontarvi alcune cose; l'arredamento è soggettivo chiaramente ; ho arredato la casa in modo divertente, colorato e giovanile e gran parte dei moduli sono su misura; le posate ha ragione perché sono spaiate e le cambierò sicuramente, come.gran parte delle pentole; i bicchieri non posso prenderli di cristallo poiché li dovrei cambiare ad ogni ospite ! Circa il forno, provato in questo momento, è funzionante, bisognava girare tutte e 3 le manopole. Il bollitore una volta lo avevo, ma dopo che un cliente lo ha fatto scoppiare facendo andare in corto circuito la casa, sono stata costretta a non metterlo più!! A presto spero comunque !

Super emplacement dans un bel immeuble avec accès à pied à cette merveilleuse ville. Deux points négatifs: il était annoncé 3 chambres et finalement il y a 2 chambres et un sofa lit dans la salle à manger. Les 3 chambres étaient importantes pour nous. Côté propreté ça aurait pu être mieux. Il y avait beaucoup de poussière et les plancher étaient sales.
