Our stay at this villa was acceptable regarding cleanliness and location, but the property falls short of the advertised "luxury" standard due to a hands-off management style and deferred maintenance. The positives: The location is on a very quiet street close to the beach. The housekeeping team did a great job, and the home was thoroughly clean upon arrival. However, the following issues contradict the premium listing:Interior: Kitchen recessed lights are loose and slipping down out of the ceiling cutouts. In the living room, exposed wires protrude from a wall plate and are covered in wall paint, proving a pre-existing electrical issue. The bathroom door hinges are heavily corroded and rusted. The white ceiling fans have a deep layer of brown discoloration caked onto the edges of the blades. Additionally, bedrooms rely solely on lamps as there is no overhead lighting.Exterior/Pool: The porch roof leaks during rain, leaving the outdoor furniture soaked. The exterior light fixtures are heavily rusted and peeling against the siding. The walkway to the pool is overgrown with palm trees, and the path contains broken glass. Finally, there is no exterior lighting around the pool area for nighttime use.It functions fine as a standard revolving-door rental, but it is not luxury. We would not stay again at this price point.
