Inconvenienced, poor customer service, very disappointed

Upon arrival door was answered by teen in night shorts. Went down to basement where 2 rooms were supposed to be. There was 1 room, carpet was dirty, couches were dirty, bathroom door would not shut, bathroom was not clean, large cat was in our area and peed on our luggage as we looked around, owner did not want to refund, had to file a claim w vrbo against her. Dresser had underwear and other belongings in it. Bed was raggedy and hardly dressed for guests. Very disappointed and very inconvenient as we had to use more of our money to get a hotel quickly so we could attend a church conference that night. Just too much when it should have been smooth and peaceful.

HORRIBLE

The property manager never disclosed that this reservation was for a shared space in their home. When we arrived at the home, she stated that she was just washing the sheets. However, the property manager did call 10 am that morning to verify our arrival time and was aware that we would be coming to the home. We were told that we would be granted access with an access code. Instead, we were walked in through a garage and not giving the access code to get in/out of the home until after asking the property manager repetitively for the access code and WIFI information. There was kids and an male in the home which we were not aware of. The residents were up and down the stairs all night. There is no door on the staircase to separate to the 2 living spaces. No privacy. The area was not clean. We ended up leaving the home and driving for 4 hours trying to find an hotel due to the lack of communication and safety issues. The property manager didnt call to see if there was any issues with the home or to verify if we were returning. This could be considered a scam. Do not rent this property. After speaking with VRBO, the buyer changed the information on the home and tried to make it seem as if it was a shared home. This information was not given before I reserved the home. Claim was filed with VRBO. Also, Property Manager stated that the home was 15 mins from downtown. The home is about 30 mins from I-85 and was 45 mins from downtown. All the information given on this home was incorrect. Will not rent from VRBO anymore due to this incident and how it was handled.

This guest was escorted out by the police after VRBO notified me rhe reservation was paid for with a fraudulent credit card. Also the guest claimed to have no photo id, and produced one when the police threatened him with arrest. TOf course the name he gave was fake. The police dropped him off on the next city and stated they didn't want him in the city. There is now a police report with his identity, and the credit card company will be putting a warrant out on him for fraud.😁�
