About this property

Fly-in place to stay close to The Villages

This lovely place is very close to the Villages, so all entertainment and shops are within a 10 minutes drive. But you’re still in a secluded area on a 5-acre lot.
All the big attractions (Disney, Universal, etc.) are within an hour's drive. Same for the outlet stores.
Pilots! Fly to your own vacation destination since this cottage has its own grass 3200 ft runway. Tie-down is available for free.
Arrangements can be made for non-pilots to enjoy the freedom of flying.
Or just jump in the pool and relax. The pool can be heated (80 °F) in wintertime for an extra fee.

The Villages are just around the corner. So we have all the shops and restaurants close by. But when you are on the property it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere! It's a 5-acre lot part of a bigger 80-acre lot with a grass landing strip. On our 5-acre lot are two houses.

No public transportation nearby. You'll need a car!

Quiet vacation

Nice and quiet area. House was clean. Manager very friendly but also we had our privacy. Answered any questions we had even recommended a good place for dinner.

It’s a beautiful private piece of property. The cottage has everything you need Cesar was a gracious helpful host. It was great having the pool to ourselves, and our little dog loved being free.

Spring Training Cottage Stay

The cottage was nice, quiet and quaint with all necessary amenities. Caesar was wonderful about communicating with me, even helping to make sure I got to the property on night 1…calling me from Amsterdam! Absolutely amazing time!

Cute place with Open Space

Our stay was very nice for our needs. We have relatives in The Villages so this worked out perfect. So nice & quiet and my little dog loved it. Caesar was not on the property, but kept in contact and was a great host from afar! Thanks again, would recommend!

Restful cottage.

Loved the pool. My landlord and his wife were so great. I was there a month and enjoyed every minute. Never a problem he couldn’t solve in a minute. My little space was comfortable and easy to keep clean. Just outside the Villages where there is lots to do. You could hardly throw a stone without hitting a church or grocery store. I had my dog who love it too.

Quiet rural property

Very disappointed. House needs to be updated. No mention in the posting of a $15 per day charge to heat their pool which they also use. No mention that pets (we had 2 dogs) could not be on the furniture. The property is connected to the owners house & you need permission to use washer/dryer but it was not a problem. Very uncomfortable living so close to the owner. Very quiet area.

It’s always sad to read somebody is disappointed, I’m sorry. But it’s very frustrating if you read untruths and a totally nonsense review. The house needs to be updated? Please advise! The owner was and is not using the pool during your stay and you have total privacy if you want to use the pool area. In the amenities section of the property, it’s not listed as a heated pool but can be heated for additional costs. As well in the “About this property” section it says The pool can be heated in wintertime for an extra fee The use of washer and dryer is on request which is mentioned in the amenities section, please read. And like said, no problem at all! In my humble opinion, it’s obvious that you don’t want pets on the furniture and/or bed or in the pool! I think our future guests will appreciate that. So please read the description of the property, everything is in there! Anyhow it feels like a stab in the back since the review they gave us in the guestbook is as follows: “Caesar & Ellen, Thank you for having us as guests for 2 weeks. Your place is very peaceful & extremely quiet! Unfortunately, too cold to swim but enjoyed watching the planes. Our 2 dogs, “Casper” + “Beau” enjoyed the screened porch. Take care, Cathy & Ken”

The location is slightly out of the way but not very far from town, if you enjoy your privacy this is a good spot for you. The pool is nice and the property was well kept. Would recommend a stay here.

Cozy cottage!

We stayed at the cottage February and March 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is cozy and so peaceful. We loved periodically watching planes take off and land on the airstrip in the back yard. Ceasar and Ellen were great and have provided anything you would ever need during your stay. The pool was fabulous as well!!! We also enjoyed watching sand hill cranes, those little lizards and the neighbor’s cat!!! Great place to stay!!!

Perfect location

The Cottage was a great location from the Gulf, the Atlantic, and Disney World. There are great local restaurants. The Cottage was clean, comfortable, and a great space for us and our fur babies. The pool was great too.

Exceptional property.

Caesar was a great host, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He bonded well with my German Shepherd dog, and they became good friends. We had a great time. I rated location a 4, you will have to drive at least 10 miles to a water body or a park, depending on what you like to do or want to see. Close to the villages, but I don’t golf. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Caro Ranch stay

We used this pretty much as a sleeping base, which worked well. It was convenient to stores in Lady Lake, and near the villages. The bed was very good, couch and chairs a bit soft for us, but probably fine for younger folks The area was quiet, a relief after the hurry around Orlando

Flying Palomino Ranch

Neat little cottage on an airstrip. Had hoped to see more activity on the airstrip, but it was a slow week for flying, I guess.

This property is unique because you have total privacy and it will give you the idea you are in a secluded area but you are just 5 minutes away from the Villages.
If you want to stay away from everything and everybody (COVID wise) this is your place, Wallmart will deliver your groceries.
If you want to join the entertainment of for instance the Villages, restaurants, shops, etc are just a 5 minutes drive away. Leesburg is just a 15 minutes drive.
