Chalet Gentiane - Spacious 5-Bedroom Ski Chalet with Stunning Views in Morzine



Chalet Gentiane is a delightful 5-bedroom ski chalet that comfortably accommodates up to 11 guests, making it perfect for families or groups of friends. Ideally located just a short drive from the centre of Morzine, the chalet benefits from a ski bus stop right outside, providing easy access to the slopes.



The chalet offers spectacular views over the valley and towards Avoriaz and is positioned below the green ski piste 'Retour des Nants.' While you can ski directly down to the Pleney telecabine, please note that accessing the piste requires a short climb of approximately 50 metres up the bank behind the chalet.



The first floor features an expansive open-plan living area with a comfortable living room, dining room, and kitchen. The living room is designed for relaxation, with a cozy corner sofa positioned in front of a fireplace. Large windows lead out to a terrace, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and are connected to the chalet's balcony. The living area also features a Smart TV with English and French channels, a docking station for your devices, and free Wi-Fi.



On the ground floor, the spacious garage provides plenty of room to store your ski equipment, and there’s a shoe dryer to ensure your boots are dry for the next day's adventures.



The chalet’s five bedrooms are spread across three levels. The ground floor has a double bedroom with a separate bathroom. On the first floor, there is a bedroom with two single beds and a separate bathroom. On the second floor, you'll find two double bedrooms and a bedroom with two single beds. A shared bathroom with a shower and a separate WC serves these rooms.



For ultimate relaxation after a day on the slopes, the basement features a sauna, perfect for easing tired muscles.



Jo will personally greet you on arrival and is available throughout your stay to assist with any questions or recommendations. The chalet will be immaculately clean, with all beds made and fresh linens and towels provided. End-of-stay cleaning is also included in the price of your stay.



Chalet Gentiane is located on the Route des Nants, just a 5-minute drive (or shuttle ride) from the lively centre of Morzine. The free ski bus stops right outside the chalet, making it easy to reach the ski lifts and other attractions.

Spacious and comfortable chalet

A large and comfortable chalet that made a good base for four adults and two children. The three bathrooms and toilets were very useful. The chalet is very well equipped with everything we needed for the week. Lovely veranda with large garden table for dining outside and just sitting to admire the views. The chalet is not within walking distance of the town but is only a 5 minute drive. Parking at the premises is ample, safe and secure. The owner is very friendly and helpful, always replying to any emails quickly. We stayed at the end of August and we had a great time at a reasonable price. Would recommend it for any large group.

Excellent - excellent

We were on a long weekend with a group of friend skiing. We had the best weekend and the chalet played a significant role in that experience. The chalet is spacious, hi quality, warm and practical. High function and very pretty. The communal areas were perfect and the garage for gear and sauna were bonus tracks. Ski in - ski out was a pleasure. Just all excellent! Jo, as a host, was a pleasure - she communicated clearly and was always helpful! The only thing that would make it ‘perfect’ would have been better proximity to the village…..it is a bit of a hike home (especially after a couple of pints!) However, overall, it was epic!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Chalet Gentiane. Entre marche, pêche, découverte de la montagne, proximité de Morzine et Les Gets, il y en avait pour tous les goûts. Le chalet est très confortable pour 6 personnes 2 couples + 2 enfants 10 et 13 ans. Superbe vue sur la montagne, cheminée utilisable en plein été pour un bon feux par temps pluvieux. Cascade à 100 m du chalet à découvrir dans un splendide paysage, le temps d'une petite marche. Au même endroit, super spot pour accrobranche et tyroliennes et si vous prolongez à pied, vous rejoignez le centre de Morzine en 20 minutes, au bord de La Drance (jolie balade, parmi tant d'autres...) Bref, la montagne c'est super chouette en été. Un régal ! Accès très faciles aux sommets par télésièges ou télécabines pour les moins sportifs ou les moins courageux, comme nous parfois !... MERCI à Mme Miller pour son accueil, sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Un grand merci également aux personnes ayant assuré le ménage, dans un contexte COVID ou non... Le Chalet est extrêmement propre ! Qui sait, à une autre occasion ! Bye-bye Mrs Miller :)

Comfortable Chalet in the outskirts of Morzine

In line with previous comments the chalet is just fine, good condition and well provided. The mattresses in some of the rooms, along with pillows and duvets are a little long in the tooth! To clarify the chalet is NOT ski in/out and involves a pretty difficult climb up the side of a steep bank to get to the piste. Not for the feint hearted! To add, the walk to central Morzine down the hill is 23mins at a good rate - the return trip took 35 mins and it’s a steep trek. Overall a nice place to stay as long as you accept some of the downsides - which for us was not huge as we had a car.

Solid chalet

Nice chalet, little far from town and wasn’t really ski in ski out as you have to ascend the north face of the Eiger in order to get to the slopes.

Awesome chalet for our MTB trip

Chalet Gentiane is a quality chalet that is well appointed with everything you need. It was perfect for a week mountain biking in Portes Du Soleil with the bonus of a garage that housed 7 bikes and gear comfortably. What more do you need after a day in the mountains than sauna, cold beers and those stunning views. Thanks to Jo who was really helpful on arrival and always at hand during our stay. Would definitely stay at chalet again it comes highly recommended.

A very nice place to stay.

The chalet is well maintained, clean and has everything you need. The views are stunning but come at a price... the walk from town! Be prepared for a little extra effort when you come off the slopes. It may be 10 minutes as the crow flies but after a hard day skiing you'll wish it was closer. That said, there is a great sauna to help sooth those aching muscles. Overall, I can't fault Chalet Gentiane and what made it even better was the customer service. It was outstanding from start to finish.

Great chalet that is well appointed with everything you need. Comfortable beds and very clean. The garage was great for keeping our 6 bikes in and the hosepipe was a great bonus too. Not sure why there are still Christmas decorations up in July though!

Lovely Chalet in a scenic location.

Stayed at Chalet Gentiane for a long weekend during the summer on a group Mountain bike holiday. Jo was really helpful on arrival, chalet was really nice with fantastic views over the valley. Garage below chalet was very handy for bikes and maintenance. Would definitely stay at chalet again on future trips during a winter or summer break.

First class property close to the piste and Morzine

Chalet Gentiane is a high quality apartment, which has a hot tub and sauna and is finished and equipped to a high standard. The booking process was very easy and Jo answered all our questions and organised our ski passes and ski hire which were delivered direct to the chalet. The chalet is situated slightly out of the town centre but is only a few metres from one of the home ski runs for easy access to the slopes. It is in a very quiet area but you can easily walk in to the town centre to enjoy the après ski and high quality restaurants and shops. Happy to recommend this to family and friends and hope to return soon!

A tester sans hésiter.

Chalet parfait pour des vacances de ski. Tout d'abord, il est très bien situé, puisqu'il se trouve juste à côté d'une piste de ski qui nous ramène directement au télécabine. Idéal pour commencer la journée ou rentrer sans perdre de temps au moment voulu. La chalet en lui même est très grand et très accueillant. Le point d'orgue est sans conteste le jacuzzi sur la terrasse. Il est sans vis à vis et avec vu direct sur les montagnes avoisinantes ainsi que sur le village en contre-bas. Pourvu qu'il neige (ce fut notre cas), et nous voilà au paradis. Joanna est très accueillante et vraiment arrangeante. Nous avons vraiment passé un superbe semaine, le tout à un budget très abordable pour un groupe. Nous recommandons chaleureusement !

Chalet magnifique, avec tout le confort nécessaire Feu de bois, jacuzzi, sauna, un plaisir! Très bien situé si la neige est là, avec une piste qui le surplombe. Seul petit hic, les navettes ne passent pas devant, il est donc préférable d'avoir sa voiture et des chaînes en cas de chute de neige

Amazingly equipped chalet in an ideal location

We had an incredible week in Chalet Gentiane. The hot tub and sauna were particularly enjoyable after a long days skiing! The kitchen is really well kitted out to cook for 10 and the layout of the chalet is ideal. Many thanks to Jo for making the booking process very simple and hassle free and for welcoming us on arrival.

Beautiful Alpine Chalet topped off with Sauna and outside Hot Tub!

We had a fantastic stay at the chalet in Morzine. The chalet is beautiful alpine style with a nice lounge, dining room, kitchen area complete with beautiful massive log fire. Outside the french windows is a hot tub looking onto the mountains which is great after ski (or in case of a lack of snow :)). On the same floor is one bedroom. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, and downstairs a further bedroom which is where the sauna is also located. All the rooms are very nice and the whole property very clean and well equip. The location is very good. on a piste (not useful for us since not enough snow but I imagine when there is more snow and it is true ski in/out then it is awesome. To walk into morzine is 10mins (a bit more on the way back since its up hill). Then to drive to the lift for Avoriaz is 10mins and there is plenty of parking (Avoriaz pretty much always has snow even if Morzine does not). The real piece de la resistance of this chalet is the bonus of hot tub outside and sauna downstairs. Both very well kept and a great way to relax after skiing. All in all, a great chalet, highly recommended. We were 9 people plus 2 kids and had stacks of room. Thanks for a great stay.

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable au chalet Gentiane bien situé avec une vue magnifique .Tout était parfait . La cuisine , le salon avec la cheminée , les 5chambres et en bonus le sauna le ,Jacuzzi et le sous sol pour sécher les chaussures de skis . A 50 m la piste de ski et a 5 mn du centre en voiture . Le top .
