What a beautiful retro house. Every family member that entered loved the decor, especially the turquoise, leather couch in the den.The views and fresh air flowing through were wonderful. We Loved walking the hills every morning and walking down to Vista Village for breakfast or lunch. The house was very clean and provided exceptional glassware and dishes for eating in.Sitting on the patio and deck off the master bedroom was extremely relaxing and great for a pizza night with family."Best Pizza & Brew," was excellent.Wendy was extremely responsive every time I sent her a message.We will definitely stay here again when we need 4 bedrooms. A vacation rental should be fun, yet cozy, I'm glad it the mark.!! So many places to hang out on the property to just relax or watch the hubbub of downtown from your patio chair. Most guests find the property to be a destination and an experience. To cook or not to cook is the only decision to make. Lot's of incredible restaurants are in walking distance. Menus are provided for delivery or take out and a full kitchen and a gas barbeque. Cheers!!

The house was spacious and clean. Lots of room and seating. The backyard was great! The primary bedroom/bath was great. The guest beds were saggy in the middle. The guest bath shower didn't have any water pressure.

Perfect Home in Vista

My family loved everything about this house! It was decorated so fun with plenty of space for my family of 6. The location was close to everything we needed but in a quiet little neighborhood. Wendy was great to communicate with and made us feel very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Good North County location

We had a great stay! Felt like a place the Rat Pack would hang out in the 50s/60s. Very groovy, mid century modern style. Add in the beautiful sunset views each night, nearby restaurants and shops, and beach options within 10-15 minute drive, you get an excellent spot to stay. The host was also very helpful whenever we had questions. Definitely recommended!

Home is very exotic, every room was different, in a great way. Felt like you were in a different place each room, patio was nice to wine and dine. Home was fully stocked of everything you need and more. Overall the home was perfect and Wendy was the kindest host I ever met.

Our group of six old friends could not be happier with Wendy’s home and her accommodating us on our annual visit to Vista for a performance at the Moonlight Amphitheater. We also enjoyed being able to enjoy dining outdoors and taking in the distant views. Being in close proximity to old town Vista with its shops and restaurants and entertainment was a plus as was a short drive to the beach and outlet stores.

Great place for any occasion!

Rented this place as a group of 4 travel nurses, 10 minute drive to Tri City & 15-20 min drive to Palomar Medical. Place is spacious, 2 big living areas & plenty of outdoor space with amazing sunset views, plenty of space for each individual. Easy walk into town where there are breweries, restaurants, nail salon etc . Great communication with landlady, would love to stay here again!

Visit to Vista

We were in town for a family wedding in Fallbrook with need for access to family in Vista and others staying nearby. The Oceanview location overlooking Vista and the valley to the ocean was perfect with great access to major roads but away from the rush in a quiet neighborhood and convenient to downtown "down the hill." Property was clean and well equipped with good beds and plenty of towels, etc. Wendy was very helpful and great communicator. We'd recommend her place to everyone needing a quiet retreat from busy days.

The Perfect Gathering

Beautiful home and very private. It was perfect as my family gathered this past weekend to celebrate & honor the legacy of our late uncle. Love the patios❤️ Great size for each bedroom and the bathrooms were also nice sizes. It is close to so many stores and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

What a Cool Home

Very well-kept and modernized, leaving the retro vibe and architecture in place. Nicely stocked kitchen and everything else. Great Views, you can see the ocean on clear days. Everything worked well. Wendy pays attention to detail by providing a very comfortable and useful environment both inside and out. Nice large TV's in both main rooms, games, books, puzzles, and more. Our family and guests loved the home.

We loved our stay over Thanksgiving. House right out of the past. We loved the entire feel of the house. Views are amazing, the inside reminded us of our childhood. My brother, sister, spouses and I loved the decor..some of which we had growing up. The red sofa was great for watching TV for us all. The host was very accommodating with earlier check in, since we all traveled from long distance to drop off luggage and freshen up before dinner. Kitchen had everything we needed. All the beds were comfortable. Don’t miss this opportunity to relive or live in a mid century modern home.

Mid century modern view home

Beautiful eclectic vibe home with great energy. Spacious 4 bedrooms 2 bath single level home with plenty of parking. Each room was well appointed with interesting decor and artifacts. Many outdoor sitting areas with views of the city. Well stocked kitchen, TV’s in all the rooms, and comfortable beds. We were 4 ladies each with our own rooms and had a great time in the home. Had everything we needed and enjoyed being in a lovely home. The downtown of Vista just a few minutes away with a variety of great restaurants. We look forward to returning next year for our annual getaway. Communication with the property manager was excellent.

A step back in time.

From the welcoming entrance area to the giant conversational living room couch to the dinning room to the four bedrooms and fully stocked kitchen all decorated with an artist's eye geared to the period of the house's origin we could not have had a more fun and comfortable experience. The weather was perfect as well and we enjoyed our meals out back with the beautiful views of Vista. A couple of us walked to charming"Old Town" (don't miss the Veterans Memorial) and all 6 of us enjoyed a production of Saturday Night Fever at the Moonlight Amphitheatre which is only minutes away by car. We all agreed that when we decide which production we are going to see next year we will be booking the Eichler house with the most gracious hostess Wendy.

great time

There were 5 adults a 1 yr old and a 7 yr old. The home couldnt have been more perfect! everything that you could possibly need was there! The only thing we had to get was toilet tissue,paper plates and paper towels. we did buy a regular size beach chair and didn''t get to use it so we left it there to hopefully use it next year! Wendy was also a perfect host. We all met her when she came to water the flowers around the home. Thats anoother thing--the greenery and flowers surrounding the home are beautiful. All and all, we all want to come back next year. It is worth the 6 1/2 hour drive from Arizona to stay at her place.

Groovy mid century home a must stay!

We were visiting CA for 10 days and I wish we stayed at Wendy's house for all of those days. We did stay a week and had a wonderful time. The house is decorated so pretty. So much color. I loved it! We were 4 adults and 2 kids (12 & 7 y.o.) and had plenty of room for everyone. Not sure I would recommend the house for children under the age of 4 though. Lots of cool but breakable knickknacks around and the outside patio might be unsafe for little ones due to the hill. We even had a family reunion of sorts and the house was great for entertaining. So many options to sit and talk inside and out. The grill worked great too the day we had a BBQ. The location of the property is in a nice neighborhood. Quiet and safe. The house has no AC which we at first weren't use to coming from Virginia but it never bothered us. The nights were cool so we left windows open and it cools the house down nicely. The only con I can think of and it wasn't a huge deal was the steep driveway. It's definitely an experience the first time you drive in and get out. But you get use to it. Not a big deal, just unique. Wendy was so kind too and answered all our questions we had right away. The house has a lot of history too, so if you have time ask her about it. Very interesting. Definitely recommend to stay. I would again if given the opportunity.

This unique hilltop property is definitely not a cookie cutter track home. Built by Joseph Eichler a popular California developer in the 1960's. This single story home sets below street level with a newly designed driveway, a cool roof & lots of parking. Each stay is tailored and prepared with your quests safety in mind.

Groovy House

My daughter graduated with honors from San Marcos University’s accelerated nursing program and this was the perfect place for our small family to gather. Every room was comfortable. The bathrooms were well stocked, as was the kitchen. The house was full of antiques so you really felt as if you had stepped back into the late 60s/early 70s. The house did not have air conditioning but the breeze kept it very comfortable. The view was beautiful especially as the sun was setting in the evening. We absolutely loved this property and it’s wonderful host!

Beautiful home and wonderful owner!

We stayed there for my retirement weekend. 4 guys and the rooms and the house was amazing. Lots of places to hang out and relax. One of the best stocked homes I've stayed at. The owner, Wendy, was fantastic to deal with, communicating was extremely fast.

Stepping inside a Classic Home is a bit like stepping back in time. From the 30' blue light scone lighting in the living room, 20' half circle sectional sofa, hardwood floors and teak wood built-ins nothing here is cookie cutter.
Packed with history, unique characteristics throughout. It's fun, quirky, charming & ridiculously cool.
There is plenty to love about the home, the neighborhood, sunsets, weather and let's not forget a stone's throw from the historical downtown area and it's brewery gastropub scene, yet minutes to the beach.
