This custom log home sits high over the neighborhood allowing for beautiful mountain views. The home is perfect for a family, multiple families or friend get togethers. Located abutting national forest, the feel is very private and quiet. The cabin location allows for multiple activity options all year or to just sit by the fire and take in the view.

5 MINUTES TO TOWN, game area (darts, shuffle board, and foosball), 2 fireplaces, mountain views. Enjoy high-end finishes in this 4-bedroom plus loft home that sleeps 11 - this home will give you enough room to spread out as well as hang out and enjoy each others company!

Radiant heated floors!
Upper level is a master with a queen bed and ensuite bath.
The main floor has 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed and main bathroom.
The lower level bedroom features a bedroom with 4 twin beds and a bathroom.
Upper level has a loft with a twin bed.

Winter…ski out the back door! Skin up, ski down or snowshoe/xc ski on the trail above the house, fat bike on the Blue River social trail to downtown Breck or drive just minutes to free parking for alpine skiing at Breckenridge Ski Resort.
Spring/Summer/Fall…hike or bike from the house, visit downtown, shop, or paddle board just one mile down the street on a private body of water.

***AWD or 4x4 highly recommended in the winter.

We stayed for a week in March. The house is exactly as listed, very clean and well stocked! Great kitchen for cooking, amenities were great, location out of the way yet so close to downtown Breckenridge. Great outdoor surroundings for kids. Our family of 7 were extremely comfortable during our stay...a lot of extras!

This Cabin Is Perfect In EVERY Way: Layout, Amenities, Views, Proximity to Breck

I can't say enough good things about my family's amazing stay at Kathleen and Pete's Family Cabin. Where do I even start? Once the cabin was booked, Kathleen was extremely communicative and willing to answer any/all questions. She would even go out of her way to provide advice and suggestions. My family drove in from Texas for our first-ever winter holiday together (we are typically the beach/city type). We were AMAZED from the time we saw the cabin from afar to when we explored the cabin for the first time. SO WHAT MAKES THIS CABIN SO PERFECT? - Layout: This custom cabin really has the perfect layout. Multiple open spaces for congregating whether it be the kitchen, the main living room, the loft, or the game room. - Amenities: Holy Moly...they are endless. Heated Floors (a must during the winter!), game room with shuffleboard, darts, and foosball, snowshoes for exploring the wilderness, entertainment (music and tv/netflix), well-stocked kitchen for cooking, hot tub, grill, and the list goes on. And everything is CLEAN! - Views: The cabin is situated at the top of the neighborhood so you have unspoiled views of the mountains. It is also butted up to a national forest which is unspoiled and beautiful to hike through. - Proximity to town: Breckenridge is only a short 8 minute drive and relatively flat (no passes or mountains to cross). - Communication from the owner: Kathleen includes a binder filled with all the information you need to know to make your stay an enjoyable one. Everything from grocery stores, to activities, to restaurants, to house rules, etc. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: - During the winter, you must have snow chains or snow tires. There really is no way to get up to the cabin and then up the steeper driveway to the cabin. (Kathleen informed us about this beforehand) - They have snowplowers come every so often. However, depending on the day/amount of snowfall, you might have to plow the driveway yourself in order to get up it. - If you're from a sea-level city, be prepared for the elevation change. We had BOOST Oxygen canisters that helped a lot. A big thanks to Kathleen and her family for allowing us to stay in their cabin to ring in the 2021 New Year. Our family created memories of our own and we couldn't have asked for a better host and place to stay.

We had a wonderful week in Breckenridge over Christmas! Kathleen and Pete were wonderful hosts and their home is absolutely lovely . They were super responsive with any questions. We would definitely consider staying in this fabulous home again.

Our family loves our custom log cabin. The location on the hill has breathtaking views! It is quiet. Activities out the back door with national forest land abuts our property. It is also extremely convenient to the town of Breckenridge. We are happy and relaxed when we are here and hope to share that experience with you.
