This light, airy, kid-friendly, family home with the charm of a New England summer home is an easy, 5-minute walk to Old Silver Beach. With 4 bedrooms, this Cape-Cod-style, beach house sleeps 8 and is equipped with central A/C, linens & towels, cable HDTV, DVD player, high-speed-wireless Internet, security cameras on exterior perimeter, security cameras on exterior perimeter, modern kitchen, microwave, washer-dryer, dishwasher, disposal, and more. This house rental has 2 full bathrooms (with a tub in the primary suite bathroom), but most prefer to bathe alfresco in the 'hot & cold' outdoor shower. The rear yard has swings for the children and a gas-grill and spacious deck for parents to relax nearby. This rent-by-owner house is set back from a quiet street and just a short walk from Old Silver Beach, which is great for children, with soft sand (no rocks), shallow tide pools to explore, toilets, showers, and a snack bar (but you can walk home for lunch).
For those registered on the signed Rental Agreement, your visit also includes use of the private section of Old Silver Beach, which is a 15-minute walk along private roads, and although it lacks the snack bar and pubic toilets, shower, and parking, it is more exclusive.

Great Cape Getaway!

We had a great time staying for the weekend. We were in town for a wedding and the location was perfect. Close to the beach during the day and the hotel for the wedding activities. We appreciated being able to set our own door code, making it easy for all family members to come and go. Clean, stocked, and very comfortable.

Family vacation

Great location, private beach was very nice during these tough times. The cottage was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The only suggestions that I would make is 1) would have been nice to lower the temp at night below 72, upstairs a little warm. 2) I understand why there are security cameras but the one in the back has a view inside the outside shower- this should be moved

A Great Place to Stay

My family and I have spent the last 2 summers renting this beautiful Cape home. It is immaculate and cozy! The owners could not be more accomodating and gracious; they want to make your experience enjoyable. Many brochures on the surrounding area attractions are in the house. Old Silver Beach is a terrific place to stay. The beach is within walking distance. My cousins are year round residents and they scouted the home before we rented. I am glad we took their advice. The dining room seats 6 and the kitchen has all the amenities you need to start or end your day. It's a great place to stay.

Quintessential Cape Cod home!

My family and I (wife, 4 small kids, plus my parents) rented the house for a week. Loved it! It's a quintessential Cape Cod home perfect for your summer vacation. The house has AC for when it gets too hot / humid outside. Walking distance to the beach (private access) and Sea Crest Resort. The pirate ship playground in the backyard was a huge hit w/ the kids, and the adults (and kids as well) enjoyed dining on the outdoor patio. We cooked and grilled quite a bit, the house is stocked w/ everything you need. Plus HDTV, WiFi, and outdoor shower, we couldn't have been happier. Cyril was also super helpful, very friendly and responsive. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Cyril & Leanne! :)

Fantastic place to stay!

We had such an amazing trip to the Cape staying at Cyril and Leanne's place. They were responsive and gracious hosts, and the house was the best. It was a close walk to Old Silver Beach, only between 5-10 minutes, depending on how slow the kids were walking lol. The house had a couple of boxes of books that our kids loved looking at, and a whole closet full of board games, and a really well stocked shed with chairs, umbrellas, etc. Can't recommend enough!

I had a wonderful week! The location of the house was phenomenal. Plenary of space for my son, daughter-in-law, and 3 granddaughters. The ship-swing set was a huge bonus. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely home.

Cute house in a great location

We had a very nice stay in this cute cape home. It is in a great location - walking distance to both public & private beaches. The home is dated but very clean and cozy with everything needed. The outside deck and back yard was very dark with all the trees and had a lot of moss so not super comfortable to sit outside. The communication with the owner was easy and check in/out was simple and clear.

The perfect family vacation home

Great beach cottage

Great cottage only 5" walk from Old Silver Beach and also close to West Falmouth Harbor and Chapoquoit Beach. Very clean and cozy. Our kids also loved the backyard playground, the outdoor shower, the picture books, and the board games. The host was gracious and accommodating. Highly recommended.

September Perfection!

We spent a blissful week at Cyril and Leanne’s home in Falmouth. They were terrific and gracious hosts who were great communicators. The house was so well equipped and had everything we could have needed. The rooms are well decorated and capture that special Cape Cod cottage feel that hotels cannot. The outdoor shower was fun and the two full bathrooms made it easy for everyone to get ready. We appreciated that linens and towels were provided and that kitchen basics were stocked. Beach chairs, an umbrella, and bogie boards were at the ready. Last and most importantly, the beach was a very short walk away. We have been coming to West Falmouth for many years and everyone rated this property as excellent!

Superb Beach Location

This very well equipped house is a very short walk to one of the Cape’s best beaches, Old Silver Beach. Well maintained beach and, at least when we went, very warm water for excellent swimming. The hosts Cyril and Leane are extremely responsive and checked in with us several times to see if we needed anything. Some nice touches are the large spring water dispenser with several refills on hand, well equipped kitchen with all necessities, huge beautiful deck, awesome wooden “ship” children’s play area in yard, nice and newer Weber grill. Not to mention central A/C and linens and towels provided (a rarity in our experience). Highly recommend this property!

We had such great time at this lovely place with our young kids. It had everything we needed. Being able to walk to one of the best beaches around was great. Kids loved all the beach toys in the shed. We are already planning on going back next year.

Great family spot!

What a wonderful vacation home! We came here with our three little boys ages 20 months to 6 years old and it was perfect. They were so thrilled with the pirate ship swing set’ An easy walk to the beach—the weather was a little cool and cloudy during our visit but the beach was fantastic and the water was warm, so it was not a problem! Just a short ride into town but it wouldn’t have mattered if we’d never left—the boys loved the games and books, and it was such a comfortable spot. We were only here a few days so didn’t get to use the well-equipped kitchen or lovely outdoor dining area as much as we’d have liked, so we’ll just have to come back! Communication with the homeowners was also super quick and so welcoming. We really couldn’t have had a better vacation—such a relaxing and wonderful home!

Charming home with modern amenities

This Cape Cod cottage was perfect for our family vacation. It has old-style charm like beautiful word work and fixtures, but with modern amenities like WiFi and central air conditioning. All appliances work well, and bathrooms are up-to-date. Beds are comfortable and linens are high quality. It was spotless when we arrived. The layout was perfect for me, my husband and two teens. With two bedrooms upstairs and a second full bath, as well as a cozy den with two doors that close, the kids had their own space. The master being downstairs with an en-suite bath was very nice. The seating area was spacious and pleasant, with plenty of couches and chairs for everyone. We never felt cramped. And of course the huge outdoor deck with heavy wooden furniture is fantastic. The cottage was stocked with just enough things to be convenient without feeling like it was "cluttered" with other people's stuff. And don't bother bringing any beach paraphernalia -- the shed has absolutely everything you need, from chairs to pails and shovels to boogie boards to a beach cart. Though the private beach is walking distance, I timed our trip back the first night, and it was a sold 12 minutes walking at a steady pace. With gear and/or small kids, it might be longer. So I think the 6 minute walk in the description is misleading. But that is my only complaint. Our teens rode their bikes to the beach, which was fun for them. The private beach is beautiful once you get there. Cyril was very welcoming and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. He went out of his way to respond quickly, and gave me detailed directions to directly access the Shining Sea Bikeway. Overall I highly recommend. One of the nicer vacation homes I have stayed in.

Prime Cape life

Well stocked home away from home- kitchen, beach supplies. Everything we needed and more. Easy access to a private beach which was great for social distancing, and for kids. Nice outdoor shower, access to well cared for grill. Great location, 15 minute drive to Falmouth Center, Mashpee Commons, Woods Hole. Communication with hosts was great, called to check on stay asked if needed anything and offered suggestions. Great Cape vacation!

Perfect Getaway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was a perfect fit for our family...it was comfortable, well stocked with everything we could have wanted, exceptionally cleaned and Cyril was extremely responsive to a few questions that we had during our stay. The icing on the cake was the ship play set - our two and four year old had a blast on it. Overall, a very memorable and relaxing stay!

Great spot for beach vacation

Our family had a wonderful experience here! Just a short, 5-min walk to the beach and the owners have thought of everything - even providing a small cart to carry all the items you’ll need for a day at the beach (which were also provided!) The house was clean and well stocked & Cyril was very responsive to the few questions we had. Highly recommend!

This property had everything we needed and everything we didn’t even know we’d need (the bug spray and the beach umbrellas we forgot)! House included bed linens and towels, all the kitchen basics, brand new grill, great deck, beach chairs and beach buggy to trek all of our stuff. Central air was an amazing bonus for those super sticky nights. Quick walk to both the public and private beach. The private beach access was perfect to keep crowds to a minimum and be able to socially distance comfortably. Thank you for the perfect getaway during a really imperfect time!

My family stayed for 2 weeks here last summer and had a wonderful time. We were very close to a beautiful beach and the backyard had a great playscape which my 3 kids loved! The deck out back was great for sitting out on summer nights. It was a perfect relaxing vacation. The owners made the whole process very easy, they gave great advice on things to do in Cape Cod, and they left travel guides for us to peruse. They had surfboards, games, water toys etc in the house, and the kitchen was well stocked with pans, cookbooks, and basic staples (salt, olive oil, condiments) so we didn't have to buy a lot of things we wouldn't use beyond our time there. I highly recommend this listing, great home and great owners!!
