This is just the cutest house and central to all things in Bardstown. Very clean, nice furniture, nice new kitchen and a lovely outdoor patio area for sitting and having coffee. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area
This was ABSOLUTELY adorable! Location couldn't be more convenient. The cottage was SUPER clean and inviting. Can't say enough about the amazing place this is. Thank you so much for such a beautiful weekend.
Me and my sisters booked this cottage to take my Mom here for a weekend getaway for her 60th birthday. We all absolutely loved this cottage, it was clean and cozy!! We will be back!
Great cozy place for a visit to the bourbon trail. The host was great and the location is perfect to walk around downtown. Will recommend to any friend looking for a getaway.

Hello, I am Margaret Sue Masters and I along with my husband, Michael, "The Colonel" we bought and restored our first cottage, Pioneer Park Cottage in 1998. We have been in the hospitality business for over 20 years in Bardstown. We have restored 4 cottages for vacations rentals and In 2004 we purchased the Chapeze House, a 1787 Federalist Mansion on the court square and transformed it into The Kentucky Bourbon House, a Boutique Hotel with 2 suites; The Bourbon Loft and The Chapeze Suite. The Colonel teaches 2 classes there daily Monday-Saturday; Bourbon University and Bourbon Mixology Classes. We also host intimate wedding ceremonies and elopement packages. Couples can marry in the elegant parlor or in the formal garden that makes up the back yard. Come experience our "Hospitality Kentucky Style"......
Why they chose this property
Pioneer Park was the first cottage my husband and I restored for a vacation property. It was a house built around 1910 by a local architect Osso Stanley. This cottage was built as a speculation house and there was an identical one built right beside it . That house was torn down in the 1990's for lack of attention. This was the cottage that gave me the "bug" to restore old houses to date we have restored 7. It will always hold a special place in my heart!
What makes this property unique
If you are an avid Ghost Hunter, Pioneer Park is located across the street from the Pioneer Cemetery with gravestones dating back to the Revolutionary War. Located behind the cemetery is the Old County Jail where inmates were hung on the property. Many evenings you will see Patti Star's Ghost Tour coming through the cemetery and avid Ghost hunters snapping their cameras trying to catch a picture of an Orb!
