1bedroom/1 bath fully updated cottage with a touch of old Florida, a scenic window,fully functioning kitchen, and centrally located in between I275 and the Veterans Expressway. Close to shopping, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and Raymond James Stadium. Downtown Tampa and Channelside are just a short 20 minute drive away to Amelia Arena and the Aquarium. Need to catch a cruise, that's in Channelside too. Come and relax on our beautiful lake or during cooler weather enjoy the outdoor firepit!! Please note this is a shared property. Owners live on premise and there is another cottage located on same property of our almost 1.5 acres. When you are here you have full access to the property's amenities. Although interactions with other guests are rare, you may run into some and watercrafts are a first come first serve basis at use of own risk. Please ask first before having guests over. We do not mind visitors but this is not a place for all of your family and friends to come and hang out everyday for your stay. There is not a lifeguard. Owners are not liable for any acts of nature for example wildlife, falling tree limbs, acorns, but not limited to others. A lot of people ask if there are alligators in our lake, my answer is probably. Assume any body of fresh water in Florida has one. Our lakes are connected so you never know where they may be. Refunds will not be given for inclement weather or early departures. Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and return the keys
Please wash your dishes and empty the fridge, the garbage and recycle can is on the side of the cottage
Please turn off lights and turn the a.c.up to 77 in the summer and down to 69 in winter
Gather towels and place in the hamper in the bathroom closet
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Property, lake and boat privelages are at own risk. We are not responsible for acts of nature or any other harm from animals or bugs.
please conserve water, as we have a septic tank and please no unnecessary items down toilets or drains
please use the outside grill for any and all seafood cooking and smoking inside is not allowed. any sign of either of these will result in a $250 fee

We really enjoyed our time here. You couldn't ask for better hosts. The bed was very comfortable and we loved just sitting on the dock and playing with their dogs. Would recommend staying here if you want a relaxing vacation.

The property is quiet and peaceful. It is located right off a small body of water surrounded by other beautiful homes and properties. The cottage was pleasantly comfortable and located near several day destinations. Nearer the cottage were grocery stores, Walgreens and eating venues.

Amazing weekend!!!

My wife and I stayed the weekend for my 43rd birthday. The property was the perfect place for a couple to get some kid free time. The neighborhood was beautiful. We both caught some bass out of the lake which was fun. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future stays!

Adult Field Trip / Getaway

We stayed at the cottage March 14-16, 2024 for my husband's birthday. The pictures were absolutely spot on. This place is quite beautiful! The cottage is cozy and the view is amazing! We sat by the water every morning! The owners were very accommodating and just all around very nice people! I highly recommend this spot! 5 stars!

Fantastic

This property is Beautiful. Little piece of Heaven is a perfect description. We were in the one bedroom cabin and it was spacious, clean, well stocked with all the items to make you feel at home. The property is park like on the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the dock. Kevin and Kelly are both so kind and accomodating. They have 2 of the nicest, friendly dogs who greet you for a quick hello. There aren't enough words to describe the beauty and serenity of this place. We were there for 10 days and wished it had been longer. Highly recommend!!!.

Relaxing and like home

Our stay was too short! The accommodations were great. Clean, friendly - host is personable, friendly and inviting just like his property. Only bummer was low water pressure in the shower which I’m sure is hard to change. But most definitely would book again for sure. We will be back!

What a beautiful property and the owners could not be nicer. My father stayed for a week and would sign a year long lease if it was an option. We also took some wonderful family pictures by the lake. The entire week could not have been better. Thank you!

Picture Perfect Property

I can't say enough good things about this place and the hosts! My daughter and I took a quick trip to the area before school started and we really enjoyed the property. The kayaks were a really nice way to see the lake and enjoy it's beauty. I enjoyed the view from the picture window in the living room of the property it was breathtaking. The landscape is kept very neat and it was beautiful. The hosts were so responsive and helpful, they are top notch. Quick drive to shopping, groceries and Tampa area. Just a beautiful area that I was not aware of until we found their place on VRBO. We hope to return one day.

The small 1 bedroom cottage was perfect for a vacation getaway and the location was convenient to Tampa where we were going on Royal Caribbean on a cruise ship. The fishing lake and the water crafts were icing on the cake. While not new in any way the cottage was as clean as you would want and had every amentity that you would need. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay there. The owners give you the privacy but are right next door if you need them. I gave them 5 stars because I could not give them 6.

Kevin being from Michigan fell in love with Florida immediately and never left about 40 years ago. Kelly is from Florida and grew up in Tampa. We both were in the restaurant/bar industry for a combined time of over 50 years before venturing into our own businesses. Kevin is a handyman and has conquered our lake for lawn services. Kelly started a cleaning business that has been operating for almost 20 years so we know customer service very well!!

Why they chose this property

We live in a wonderful residential country like setting. Although you may feel secluded from the rest of Lutz and the Tampa Bay Area there is everyday noise activity you may hear such as school buses, garbage trucks, lawn maintenance crews, there can be houses being built, a kid training for the junior Olympics lives on 25 acres down the road so you may or may not hear a few rounds go off that last just a few minutes, dogs and people in general bike or walk the lake. It is approximately 2 miles door to door if you like exercising.

What makes this property unique

Our property is unique in the fact that our little cottages on the property date back to the 50’s. Although they have been updated you still get that old Florida feel with the bonus of a beautiful lake(which sometimes gets low in droughts) a firepit and lots of animals such as squirrels, raccoons and all sorts of birds. If you come and are an early riser or even at dusk if you download the free app called Merlin it shows you which birds are speaking, the names and what they look like all at once I highly suggest this app.
